Small caveat first:
I will be honest here, I am extremely uncomfortable with this topic and I greatly hesitated before addressing it here. As I have said it many many times before, there is a US-manipulated crowd of what I call “hurray patriots” which will use anything and everything to blame it all on Putin (just like their US controllers do, of course). So when Putin (or Russia) does something wrong or inept, there is a great real of risk of “adding water to their mill”. However, there is another trap I also refuse to fall into: to look away or not ask the tough questions, even about Putin, just because the Putin-bashers will inevitably use it or indulge in an infantile kind of “we told you so long ago” glee. The truth is we, the real patriots and friends of Russia, cannot let the Putin-bashers completely own the discussion. In fact, I think that the best thing we can do is simply ignore them, just pretend like they are not here, even while we remain acutely aware that an entire segment of the so-called ‘patriotic’ or ‘pro-Russia’ blogosphere is, in reality, used by the enemies of Russia.
Having said that, let’s now turn to
The murder of Motorola:
Motorola was killed yesterday, so the investigation is only beginning, but we already know that he was killed by a remotely controlled bomb place in the elevator shaft of his house. DNR officials have immediately blamed the murder on a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance unit. The Ukies, of course, were more than happy to confirm and take credit for this.
And this is were problems begin.
For one thing, Motorola is only the latest in a now obscenely long list of top Novorussian leaders (Pavel Dremov, Alexei Mozgovoi, Evgeny Ishchenko, etc.) who were murdered in very strange circumstances.
Second, the Ukie security services are, to put it very mildly, not exactly known for their amazing capabilities. In the Ukraine they are more known for their corruption, the way the viciously torture their prisoners and for snatching off the street clueless bystanders only to present them as, what else, secret FSB agents. Frankly, I find the notion that the Ukies kill all these top Novorussian leaders absolutely ridiculous.
Third, you tell me: how do you enter a heavily protected building, get into the elevator shaft, then leave, then monitor the arrival of Motorola before setting off a bomb and then get away? This very much reminds me of the murder by the Israelis of Imad Mughniyeh who was killed in Damascus by an Israeli bomb place in the headrest of his car: how did the Israelis get access to his car (in a very heavily protected government area of Damascus) without the numerous Syrian security services noticing? Impossible, of course. But only the widow of Mughniyeh, now living in Iran, had the courage to state the obvious: the Israelis had top level accomplices in Syrian security services.
Means, motive and opportunity
Let’s use “means, motive and opportunity” format and ask – who had the means.
The Ukies: Forgive me, but I don’t believe that the Ukronazis had the means.
The Russikies: Forgive me again, but I find it undeniable that the Kremlin did have the means
The CIA-SAD/SOCOM/USAISA/MI6/SAS/SBS/Mossad/IDF/etc.etc.etc.: doubt it very much. They would need to have not only a specially trained commando team, which they all have, but one which would be inconspicuous in the DNR, and that I find very very hard to believe.
Private contractors: maybe. I could see some agency or country sub-contracting the murder of a Novorussian leader to some private mercenary outfit as the latter would have native Russians speakers with the correct skillset.
However, I submit that this is the wrong way to looking at this issue. The real question is not who had the means to execute such an operation, but why would anybody at all have had the opportunity to do so?!
It does not require to be a genius figure out that Motorola was a prime target. And yet, neither the Novorussians not the Russians could protect him?! This is prima facie ridiculous. Okay, maybe the Novorussians security services are a mess (judging by the number of Novorussian leaders kill, I get the feeling that this are!), but what about the Russians?! They could organized an immense Olympic event in the face of a direct and overt Saudi treat to have it marred by terrorist attacks and not have a single incident, even minor, happen, but they cannot protect the top 10-20 Novorussian leaders?!
As far as I know, not a single Novorussian security service leader was fired or demoted following all the murders of the Novorussians leaders. Why not?
This is how I see it: either the Russians let the Novorussians protect themselves and that was a huge mistake on the part of the Russians, or the Russians are in charge and they are themselves either incompetent (or worse).
Here we have to at least look at
The “Putin did it” theory
Yes, he sure had the means. And opportunity. The Russians are covertly running Novorussia and whatever manner they see fit, and if they wanted to they could kill anybody there. But motive?!?!?!
Motorola was not at all the bone-headed stubborn pain the the butt that other Novorussians leaders have been. I would even say that he, along with “Givi”, were just about the most willing to work with Russia. We also know from the example of Strelkov that the Russians can, if they want, remove anybody they get frustrated with. Why murder Motorola? This makes no sense.
The problem with the “Putin did it” theory is that it is based on a circular argument which goes like this: “since Putin wants to sell-out Novorussia, he murders Novorussian patriots, and he murders Novorussian patriots because he wants to sell-out Novorussia”. What that argument misses is that Putin could have sold out all of Novorussia, including all the Novorussian patriots, years ago just by a short move of his pen. But to the great dismay of the Putin-hating hurray-patriots, Putin remained steadfast in his support for Novorussia (without Russian support, Novorussia would fold in a week or so). Ditto for Syria which the very same Putin-hating hurray-patriots accuse Putin of “selling out” for many years already, even when the Russians single handedly protect Syria like they are doing today.
Yes, the Russians had the means and opportunity to murder Mozgovoi and the others, just as the Russians did have the means to shoot down MH-17, and just as the Russians do have the means today to bomb Syrian hospitals. So what? The Russians also have the means to send special forces to attack any orphanage on the planet and they can nuke Machu Picchu, but that hardly means that they would have any motive to do so? What we need to ask is
Whatever happened to cui bono?
Cui bono indeed. Unless somebody presents me a fact-based argument, I submit that Putin had no reasons at all the kill anybody in Novorussia so he is off my list of suspects.
Kiev. Meh… Yeah, I guess, they kinda had a motive. If they are dumb enough to send (a rather poorly trained) unit to blow up bombs in Crimea, they are probably dumb enough to try to kill somebody in Donesk. Except for I don’t believe that they had the means or opportunity to do it. So Kiev is also off my list of suspects.
CIA-SAD/SOCOM/USAISA/MI6/SAS/SBS/Mossad/IDF/etc.etc.etc? Means? I doubt it. Opportunity? I doubt it again. Motive? Not really. Folks in the West are smart enough to realize that by killing Novorussian leaders they really achieve very little. Even if ALL the current Novorussian leaders are killed, the people of Novorussia will never accept any Ukronazi rule over them, as for the military defense plans, they are made in Moscow anyway. Killing Novorussian leaders just is a lot of effort for not much to gain.
Which, unless I missed something leaves one theory:
Novorussian infighting aka “they did it themselves”
Usually, when somebody in the LNR is murdered, Plotnitsky is suspected. Not only is he an extremely unsympathetic personality, he has that “look” of being a ruthless thug. Then there is the fact that several of the murdered leaders were openly highly critical of him. Problem: Motorola was in the DNR, not the LNR and the LNR bad boys had no reason to risk messing with their (much more powerful) DNR leaders. As for the leader of the DNR, Zakharchenko, there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that he had any problems with Motorola.
How about the Novorussian mobsters (and their colleagues from Russia)?
Well, maybe. By definition maybe. But that does not explain how they got past the security and into the elevator shaft of a highly protected building.
Conclusion?
To be honest, I ain’t got anything remotely resembling a real conclusion. All I have is a sense of frustration and one Ukrainian slogan like a mantra in my mind. So let’s begin with my frustration.
I am mad at the Russian security services.
Sorry, but for all the talk about the sovereign Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Novorusssia is in inside the Russian security services area of responsibility. At the very least, the Russian security services have done a terrible job setting down the law, their law, in Novorussia. This is a case of professional incompetence, I am sorry to say. Putin ought to ask the heads of his security services whether they can maintain law and order in Novorussia or not and immediately fire anybody who would reply in the negative. He should then appoint one person in charge of Novorussian security and subordinate the FSB/SVR/GRU assets in Novorussia to that person. Finally, the Kremlin out to explain the the local security services that they either step aside and shut up or be removed, physically if needed.
Too extreme?
I don’t think so. The Russians own Novorussia and they have to fix it now. The people involved (as actors or accomplices) to these murders ought to be found and shot. Yes, *shot*. By a military tribunal and under the laws of a time of war. And while the local elites might be outraged by such a Russian move, the local people will only be grateful
Путін прийде порядок наведе!
The above slogan says (in Ukrainian) “Putin will come and restore order”. This is the (highly illegal!) motto of those in the Ukraine who still hope that the Russians will come and restore order. As I wrote many times, the Russians ain’t coming and the Ukrainians need to restore order themselves. But for Novorussia, I see no other solution.
There are no 10’000 ways of putting it: Novorussia is a friggin mess. Not only are top leaders murdered, but all the others are constantly appointed, then removed like some kind of crazy merry go around. Zakharchenko in the DNR has done a much better job than the folks in the LNR, but that latest murder of Motorola is showing that instead of the LNR becoming more like the DNR, it is the DNR which is becoming more like the LNR.
Ideally, the Russians should send some smart and ruthless patriot, like General Shamanov, to go to Lugansk and Donesk and read the locals the riot act (Russians generals are very good at that kind of stuff) and if they offer any resistance, just toss them out of their office (Russian generals are also good at that kind of stuff).
Okay – now the real conclusion
We are about to enter fantastically dangerous times. The Kremlin simply cannot afford the kind of bullshit (forgive my French!) that has been taking place in Novorussia. Enough is enough. If the locals cannot get the job done, they the locals need to step aside. There is an absolutely real risk of Hillary and her Neocons finally taking full power in the White House, Russia and the USA might have a shooting war over Syria, the Ukronazis might attack the Donbass any day now, the Russian 5th column is as powerful as ever in the Russian government, and Russia needs to prepare for a possible WWIII. Russia simply does not have the luxury of putting up with a chaotic and lawless Novorussia run by either traitors or incompetent people. A major crackdown on the Novorussia elites is much overdue. Come on, Putin – do it! And find the bastards who murdered Motorola.
The Saker
You’ve done it again: a fair, objective analysis where others would have published a biased rant – keep it up :)
Yes, agreeable analysis (except maybe the part about Plotnitsky, who’s the best actually, I think), and especially his (the Saker’s) real conclusion. Almost certainly ‘elites’ (backstabbers) within Novorossiya, who are closely linked to the bankster’s (e.g. CIA/Mossad) agencies were behind this bomb attack/assassination,
Not unlike the (remotely controlled) car, speeding on the median strip, which crashed into Putin’s official car, killing Putin’s favorite driver.
After reading Scott’s article, how on earth could Motorola have such an insecure entry to his house? That’s not a base for such a popular top leader, freedom fighter, highly wanted by Russia’s enemies (e.g. CIA/Mossad). The latter probably didn’t even need (traitors, 5th column) inside help (except for them not to care) . . . Like Saker’s question in red, why did no one care?
A simple explanation:
There is an another theory which does not require the access to lift etc.
Done by FSB to let Motorola disappear somewhere in Russia. He deserves it as a family man. So just a cover up staged assasination……
Keep it simple even if conspirating.
FWIW One of Motorola’s bodyguards was also killed. The bomb was the same type as used in the attempt against Zhakharchenko. Motorola knew he was being targetted.
Zhakharchenko’s response to the murder:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n4E_kkcpp4
consider the perfect timing with the announcements that kiev does not intend to fulfil minsk2.
It could be coincidence or not.
this makes confrontation and escalation more likely and who will benefit from failed minsk 2?
Easy answer: the ukro zionazis, meaning the US , its controllers and sock puppets poroshenko, hollande, yarosh, and the new political party azov.
These combined are tinder waiting for the lit match.
If there is escalation into full conflict, then the US will push aleppo to include no fly zone which is given if witch clinton gets in, the russians destroy some us drones, US warms Russia, provides more arms to ukraine as leverage over syria.
ukies attack en masse are contained but not defeated, Syria goes hot us aircraft are downed by Mig 31 deployment and Su 27 escorts of russian bombing sorties in and around aleppo.
The race to Raqqa commences.
The eu prolongs sanctions and sends observers to ukr front lines who report alleged Russian soldiers and equipment in large numbers. the public buys the stpry.
US provided intel and another offensive commences entering donetsk.
Russia intervenes with air defence systems with no fly zone over donetsk and supply of consumables and vehicles of all types to DNR forces.
you continue the story. now hot zones in novorossiya and syria.
Yes, Saker–your analysis is righteous. We cannot afford neither hysteria nor wishful thinking if we are to stay of use in the infowars. Russia needs to batten down the hatches and, I really hate to say this, but Russia almost cannot afford to make mistakes. Motorola’s assassination was deliberate,( sorry Saker, but I see that “all roads lead back to Plotnitsky–the bomb attack against Motorola was hightly professional; whereas, the one against Plotnitsky was carelessly conceived and executed). One cannot assume that both were done by the same group which is just getting better at it. But 30 days ago Motorola was on special assignment to Lugansk.
By the way, the test of the times seems to be this corrupting concept of working with or choosing the “lesser evil”. sigh. as a short term tactical move perhaps this is OK but as a strategy? Oh no. Not in the USA nor in Lugansk.
By the way, Does Givi have his armour plated humvee yet? seriously..
Also, in these chaotic times what is really alarming is this kind of “oops, well, those really were not missiles, after all” thinking. So Der ez Zeir and Yemen were both “mistakes” of the same caliber? Hardly,. A situation can be read wrong, used wrongly by the wrong people and get out of hand very quickly or it can be hideously deliberate. It is important to have some idea into which category it falls.
http://news.antiwar.com/2016/10/16/us-again-attacks-yemen-coast-despite-growing-doubts-over-missiles/
We must keep our heads about us.
Who killed Igor Bezler? When? How?
Nope. My bad. Rumors of his death are greatly exaggerated.
I removed his name from my list in the article.
Thank you!
The Saker
Every time when a Novorussian leader murder and every time that Kremlin spike a knife in the back of Novorossiya ,then start the same propaganda machine“ As I have said it many many times before, there is a US-manipulated crowd of what I call “hurray patriots” which will use anything and everything to blame it all on Putin (just like their US controllers do, of course).
Tomorrow the same day Motorola will bury ,Putin will shake Poroshenko, hand. What is your opinion about that?If you dare answer to me and not ban my comment.Stop to hide like your idol the little fearful mouse of Kremlin.
Last video from Bezler was several months ago , allegedly from Poltava region which is deep inside the ukronazi controlled territory of Central Ukraine . Seems like he knows what he is doing.
If Bezler was killed or captured , rest assured there would be lotsa noise .
Maybe a too simplistic answer as to why, as revenge for that helicopter with NATO troops shot down when illegally flying over from Ukraine over Minsk demarcation zones? And ukrop recon and sabotage have been learning many new skills at the hands of their NATO trainers…..?.????
“the Russian 5th column is as powerful as ever in the Russian government”
This should not be after all this time.
People who who would undermine their own country’s popular govt are traitors and should be treated as such!
“Novorussian infighting”
No need to look further. The very fact that there are two relatively small patches of territory each of them declaring itself as a separate state speaks a lot.
Another possibility sort of. Pavlov was not actually killed, but his ‘Motorola’ identity died. Maybe he was moved back to Russia with his family like Strelkov. This time, Russia could use the ‘assassination’ to raise tension further and assume a more aggressive position towards Kiev. It will help surge the anti fascist sentiment and gear the people of the territory up for a fight with Kiev again.
Putins Vision- he is only a very moderate Russian Nationalist and does not wish to expand the territory of the Federation.
Crimea was already an established self contained Autonomous Region and was already so pro Russian it was impossible not to add it to the Federation. Its different with the donbas territories. Putin thinks these statelets are more use outside of the Federation than within it. Like Belarus and Armenia, which are economically controlled by Russia, they give the Federation some breathing space against the euro-atlantic hordes. If NATO forces get onto Donetsk territory or Nagorno Karabhak, Russia is not going to be in as bad situation as if they were part of its territory. It can use these statelets as exchange value to get concessions from the west. Putin in his pretty weak of nationalism would let the west have them if it mean saving russia from war. That can be the only reason they have not been made full federal Republics of Russia.
Nationalism and expansionism are not synonymous.
“Another possibility sort of. Pavlov was not actually killed, but his ‘Motorola’ identity died. “
Interesting thought. I had that feeling too: /a-few-images-of-the-motorolas-murder-scene-by-scott/
“This time, Russia could use the ‘assassination’ to raise tension further and assume a more aggressive position towards Kiev.”
Then this stance would undermine the official mantra: Russia is not part of the conflict…
“Putins Vision- he is only a very moderate Russian Nationalist and does not wish to expand the territory of the Federation.”
You and me also don’t really know Putins vision. Only what is said to be his vision. If you dwell in Dugins visions, then there is certainly room for expansion: not only territorially, but ideologically, economically and ofc militarily. And before critics say: Putin is not Dugin, I assure you, from Dugin you will learn, what the vision of Russia is. As it seems, Russia has only two choices: Do or Die. Meaning: bow to the Western powers and become a resource protectorate, or accept the role, which “destiny” gave her: to become the main and integrative, telurocratic power, which will unite and dominate Eurasia. Nothing in between.
“It can use these statelets as exchange value to get concessions from the west. Putin in his pretty weak of nationalism would let the west have them if it mean saving russia from war.”
On this one, I certainly disagree. To make such a concession and give these lands away, would be ridiculous and would only postpone Russia’s destruction. The western Empire is not interested in these lands per se, they want Russia and to take these lands makers for them only sense as a preparation to come closer to Russia.
There are videos of the lift, the debris from the explosion and bodies being removed from the lift by forensic teams. Motorola’s lower body was largely unaffected. His upper chest and head were shredded. Motorloa is dead but his spirit lives on.
Saker,
The Russian Intel services have failed. But Donetsk is a bad city to try to live normally and escape assassination.
In August they bombed his auto at the hospital. He had an eye injury and was getting treatment at the time of the bombing. Motorola also had a previous arm injury. These were all from attempts.
The elevator was a Mossad IED, paid by Porky. How do I know? It was a brilliant inside a building hit. Mossad has long record of killing people at their homes. Gerald Bull, for instance. Just check out the film Munich and you see the proficiency of the Israelis.
The contracts on Motorola and Givi are in the millions of dollars and on Zakh is 5 million. Plenty of people have the language and looks and daring to do the deed. This was not a difficult deed. Place a bomb, monitor the location. Press the detonator.
Why? Porky loses cauldrons and tens of thousands of guys, but kills Motorola and he’s even. Three big cauldrons, three big hits and the Ukies are even. That’s their demented calculus.
Hell, I’d settle for a few hits of lunatics on our side. Can’t name them in public but use your imagination.
The Ukie mentality has always been this lopsided calculus.
So, I believe Porky paid for it. Professional contractors did it. Russian Intel failed to protect a guy who barely escaped several attempts previously.
All the LNR hits were local business hits. Competition among crooks.
The DNR stuff is US/Kiev hits, symbolic victories. They almost got Zakh, killed a secretary in a car bombing. The next is Givi. He’s a loner, who knows what his life style is about? He’s probably drunk alot. He looked fat in his video today.
These guys want to win the war for Novorossiya and could easily drop their guard in the long wait for more combat.
They should spend as little time as needed anywhere near urban areas.
And the Russians should protect them.
Very sad loss of Motorola. A man with a family living in an apartment building is a sitting duck. One guard with him. No guards inside? He was a battalion commander and should have had guys in the building making certain his home was safe.
Zakh, we know has special ops with him most of the time. But all these guys have huge contracts on their heads. Extreme caution is warranted.
And the Russians should blow up Porky’s plane on the ground as a signal that his days are numbered.
Agree pretty much with L445 on the who and how, this hit reeks heavily of that mossad stench. Pavlov was a talented commander, the zionazis try to take these out whenever they can. Pavlov’s murder is another sign the zionazis plan further aggression soon, maybe very soon, in the Ukraine.
Why in the world would the Mossad risk really pissing off the Russians when Israel is so dependent on Russia for its position in the Middle-East? Look at how hard the Israelis are trying to endear themselves to the Russians – would they risk it all by killing Motorola?
We can, of course, always blame the Israelis for everything, just as others blame Putin, but if we look for factual reasons to suspect the Mossad – then we have to say that there is nothing. Nothing at all.
(oh boy, why did I post this?! Now I am going to be accused of being a Mossad proxy or, worse, a crypto-Jew…)
The Saker
LOL. Saker, Zionist is not necessarily Mossad, and Mossad is definitely Zionist.
By you logic (I mostly agree by the way except one point), does it mean Putin gave Israel green light to pick out Hezbollah leadership one by one or bomb Syria Army in Syria?
Hi Saker, I apologize. I know you are very frustrated, and I should not laugh at such serious issue at such serious time. But my question was legitimate.
Larch should prove his claims. He´s saying that he knows that Mossad was behind it and the motive was some million dollars. Well, where´s the proof? I don´t think that the few million dollar is a believable motive to think that Mossad was behind it. Your analysis is excellent, as always. And there´s no ground to blame you being a Mossad proxy. Don´t allow this conversation get too far-fetched:)
Let me be more precise. Mossad-like IED, Mossad-Mode of Hit, Mossad-Choice of Location. They have decades of success hitting at target’s homes, with blasts that remove heads, using precise-shape plastic charges remotely detonated.
I did not mean for anyone, especially Saker, to have to defend Israel. Israeli contractors might have done it, Israeli trained contractors might have done it.
Certainly, someone who wanted to impress Porky, gain favors or simply get the money did it.
This wasn’t done for any other reason. Merely, the reason to kill was to kill Motorola and collect a reward.
And to think the Mossad technique was not used is possible. Except all the appearances and facts we know so far seemed to me to fit. Their signature.
And probably emulated, not directly them per se.
Another thing about their influence—the Ukie oligarchy is mainly Khazarian, directly linked with their businesses and dual citizenship and personal security tied to Israel. Thus, closely tied to Mossad-trained.
So, for all these salient features of Ukraine, the big players, the big money, the big reasons, I look at the pieces and the puzzle seems to point to what I pointed to.
If someone has a whole different explanation, I’m open to hearing it. Lay it out.
Khazarians covet Donbass big time. Motorola was a trophy and it really hurts Sparta battalion, one of the key counter-forces in the Donbass Army.
It was like killing Patton. Who, many think was assassinated in his ‘accidental’ death.
Assassinations of such high order have salient reasons.
Paint a different picture if you have one.
Larchmonter – yours is the only analysis here backed by evidence. All else here is hot air rife with speculation. This includes the Saker analysis. Read what “Texas” has to say about this, as he’s the only one who is at the scene from amongst all of us.
http://www.fort-russ.com/2016/10/texas-who-killed-motorola-and-why-ill.html
The key is in not getting caught or identified. A good example is how the Mossad did assassination and sabotage in France to prevent the Irakis from getting nuclear powerplants. They even managed to blame it on anti-nuclear activists!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1I_5v17JYM (in French)
Very easy guys. The US attacked the Syrians in Deir-er-Zor and maybe got some russian assets killed on the ground. Then there is the story of a kalibr missile (3 of them actually) killing up to 30 Israeli, US, French and Saudi Intel officers. Cant deny or confirm these casualties but if they happened, then there are some scores to be made even.
This might just be such an reaction. The tension is definitely going up and lets see where the “aleppo-humanitary catastrophe”-hysteria will get us.
Mossad-CIA is an extra-territorial conglomerate, accountable only to the money printers.
Sure, the money printers have a strong emotional bond to their lovely, little outpost called Israel, but deep down in their heart, the current batch of Zionists is German-Polish-Russian.
And they want ‘their homeland back’. Badly. And if that means killing no matter how many Motorolas – so what?
I think that Israel and Europe do not want to escalate the situation. The “US” does neither (running campaign, so no new war), at least obama. What he wants is to stabilize the situation until hillary makes it. At the same time the military is preparing for a bloody solution. But obama will not give the go. He has had many opportunities to escalate a war and he has so far always kept it low key or regional (never directly against russia or china).
But if the russians killed military advisers from Israel, US, Turkey…, this might cause some retaliation. And the Israelis for example have good relations with ukraine and surely could do such a thing considering their military cooperation with ukraine. The russians cant do a thing about it because it is considered legitim within the “terror-operation” against novorussia.
This thing will only cause a new mentality in novorussia. Bad for poroshenko. The big thing that happened was, that the russians basically said that an attack on the Syrian army is considered an attack on Russian Forces.
If this goes down well and the US accepts its demise then this is the political part of a real no fly-zone! A russian one. A real Syrian air superiority after 30+ years. The S-300, S 400, Moskva (~S 300), Pantsir, Buk are already up and running.
This would go down very fast.
But I think Obama will make sure the Deir-er-Zor thing does not happen again until election. The military on the other side are already preparing under the disguise of yemen and mossul (ISIS freely relocating towards raqqa, allepo maybe?). I really doubt they will step down after trump wins. So for me the worst case is trump is being contested after he potentially wins. Then a military or technical government can govern and escalate in syria (excuse for the crashing financial system or for them the grave for russia and maybe the beginning of the end of china).
The best case scenario is that obama can counterwork the war hawks as much as possible and not let any provokation happen. But you know how these false flag things get out of hand fast. Hope Russia keeps a cool head and a burning heart!
Why would they risk organising the coup in the first place when they were dependent on Russia in the Middle East? They don’t do compromise. Their automatic response when anyone challenges them is to double down and be even more aggressive. The current regime in Ukraine is a completely Zionist one. The coup was organised to punish Russia for blocking the US-led attack and “regime change” in Syria in 2013. It’s not a coincidence that Victoria Nuland (Nudelman) organised the coup and virtually all the leaders installed afterwards have been Jews. It’s been shown that ex-Israeli soldiers (Mossad), originally from Ukraine, took part in the coup. The only reason the US is involved in all this is because the US Government is completely controlled by Israel. Israel lets America take all the blame (and retaliation) while they sit back and pull the puppet strings while pretending not to be involved. This way they can push their aggressive agenda against other countries but avoid any retaliation against them.
Unfortunately the Russian Government seems to fall for this trick and blames “the West” for the problems in Syria and Ukraine when the reality is it’s Israel who is behind it all. They just use “Western” governments as their puppets. The details of this cowardly murder fit perfectly with previous Mossad assassinations like Imad Mughniyeh or the murder of Iranian nuclear scientists. All done with small directed explosives aimed at the person’s head in an ambush near their home. This has Mossad’s fingerprints all over it. I don’t know of any other country who assassinates people this way. It doesn’t necessarily have to be Israelis physically planting the bomb. The bombs in Iran were planted by Iranians working for MEK. Mossad just gave them the bombs and told them where to plant them. What’s to stop them doing the same in Ukraine? Maybe it was a joint CIA/Mossad operation like Stuxnet? Do you really believe that Zionist Jews like Nuland (Nudelman), Poroshenko (Valtzman), Groisman, Kolomoisky etc. aren’t working with Israel?
Many of the Novorossiyan leaders shun security because they see it as cowardly to hide behind security guards while their men are facing death every day on the front lines. Unfortunately they need to realise that they’re fighting against cowards who will not hesitate to use any method to achieve their goals no matter how underhanded. They need to start stationing permanent security guards at buildings they use and avoid falling into predictable patterns of behaviour. I see no reason to suspect anyone but the Zionist regime occupying Ukraine and their collaborators. Aren’t the circumstances of this murder very similar to Oles Buzina’s? I used to think it was Plotnitsky behind them, but that seems unlikely given that he almost died in a similar attack a few weeks ago. Isn’t it possible that this is being done to cause infighting amongst the Novorossiyans and get them all suspecting each other instead of being united against their true enemy?
Good call.
Exactly my opinion.
@L445: not complicated. Easy million bucks split two, three ways. All about greed by insiders probably living inside or close to Motorola’s home. inside hit by bounty hunters who knew Motorola. Big money too much temptation for easy hit by inside Judas. Only solution; find out who paid bounty for hit and act accordingly.
DNInews reporting that yesterday hundreds of mercenaries reported on contact line, from usa Canada Baltic and Poland.
Great write-up, I was wondering why there wasn’t anything about this on here when the new broke. I tend to agree that this is an inside job and it could very well be related to the fact that Motorola was on tape admitting to something he shouldn’t have, it was his amateur hour. That admission is an example of what the west like to hang around Russia’s neck, thus he may have become a liability. Remember, there has been attempt on Givi’s life as well. This is usually the dangers of being a pawn on the Grand Chess board, pawns are easily disposed, I, like you, am not buying the Ukies did it line, but we will never know. May his soul rest in peace.
Saker, thank you very much for your article on this, this is what I wanted from you.
Firstly, Bezler is not dead, as far as I know. He apparently was warned off, understood what that meant, left, and lives, which brings me to Putin.
Putin is somebody you can trust either to do good, or to do a lot of damage, by that I mean if he has a problem with anybody, he will give them one, and only one, warning, and if the person concerned heeds Putin’s warning, he will live, not be killed.
Whatever anybody else says about Putin, my take on him is that he is not responsible for Motorola’s death, for the reason given above, and I just don’t have the gut feeling that Putin is responsible, not even indirectly.
For what Putin has done for the Donbass people, I will state it quite openly here, I am eternally very greatful to Vladimir – and even more so to God – for what he has done for them, and I will jump down anybody’s throat who says otherwise (if I can be bothered, I’ve done it so many times already to others).
Likewise with Zakh, no way do I think he is responsible for Motorola’s death either. Of course, he is responsible in a sense for his death for being the head of the DPR, and hence security (and he must be feeling very bad about that failure), but not personally, and by that I mean he would have stopped it if he could have.
So earlier today I posted a comment elsewhere about my belief that it was NATO SF who did it (with collusion). They have people who can speak Russian too, and I wonder if Motorola’s communications were intercepted/hacked, so that they knew where he lived.
In all the time I’ve read you, I’ve never heard you call for direct action like this before. I’m extremely curious about the sequence of events in the very near term. It seems to me, if Russia’s convinced the US/NATO/AZ axis of evil really is intent on a war, the turmoil between administrations is a prime opportunity to make a move. Early January?
Not that I expect Russia to act peremptorily, but I wonder what the calculus in the Kremlin looks like?
In all the time I’ve read you, I’ve never heard you call for direct action like this before.
True. I am getting very frustrated with this kind of absolutely inexcusable incompetence. I don’t believe for one second that “Putin did it”, but I do think that the Russians special services royally fucked up (pardon my crude language) and that heads should roll. This kind of stuff is simply inexcusable and intolerable. Yeah, I am pretty mad, frustrated and disgusted with this murder…
“but I do think that the Russians special services royally f#$% up and that heads should roll.”
If and only if your assumption is correct: namely that Motorola really died! Maybe the Russian special services really learned from the past assassinations and assassinations attempts. And maybe they “evacuated” Motorola with this cover story of an assassination?
Wouldn’t that be an intelligent and merciful action? Merciful, because he had a young wife, married shortly and had really small children [1 or 2? Maybe even baby(s)]. And he served from 1999. Long time.
And his “death” can be exploited as a “revenge-motivational” factor: вперед для Motorola!
Of course, this is just speculation…
The fact that top Novorussian military leaders have little to no security details speaks volumes about the lack of organization of the DNR. It appears that the protracted ‘lull’ in heavy action is being used as a method of slow death, whereby before the start of new hostilities the heart and soul of the fighting units in Novorussia is gutted. This more than anything hurts overall morale.
I don’t blame the Russian assets on the ground, I do believe they are trying to be as hands off as possible, I do however lay much of the responsibility at the feet of those Russian diplomats who have restrained the rebels from securing a larger perimeter by enforcing ill timed truces.
The sad fact is that the motive for demoralization of the Novorussians lies with the US/UK/Ukie alliance, and big cash payouts could easily turn a DNR soldier this way or that. I suspect it was an inside job by maybe a disgruntled officer who saw a window of opportunity for monetary gain, and a life away from all the misery. If I was a top DNR military official I would be watching very closely the movements of all those who worked closely alongside Motorola.
No matter how some like to portray the “Russian Spring” that formed the LDPR as a controlled happening. It mostly was not. It was more of a “grassroots” uprising than most we see Worldwide. Besides being “authentic” (a good thing). It was/is very chaotic (like most peoples revolutions). It takes time for “true” structure to settle in to a revolution.I believe that accounts for many of the difficulties we see. Saker is right that Russia needs/needed to assist (even if by ordering), assuring the needed security there. But the problem is that Putin didn’t want the revolution in the first place. When Russians by the thousands started flocking to it to help it.And many groups inside Russia were helping them (including some of the elite),his hand was forced. He couldn’t stand by and see pro-Russians being slaughtered.Without a massive lost of popularity inside Russia. The last polls I saw at that time said while only a third of Russians wanted direct intervention.Around two thirds wanted help to be sent. Some in the Russian government hold/held the forlorn hope that they could “reason” with the junta (what makes/made them think that is beyond my thinking). And that is why we see things as they are today.
There are at least two more ways to leave the military service: by personal demand or by being requested to do so. It would have been possible to publish that Motorola would like to step down and spend much more time with his family. People would not have been cheering this action, but I am quite sure they would not have despised him for that either.
If it were a simple matter of leaving service, no murder is required.
While I understand you sentiment, the problem is that what you wish for the Putin to do would play hand in hand with desires of the west. If Russia goes heavy-handed with Novorussia, the western media can spout how they are occupied etc etc. On the other hand, it is not like they are not claiming it already.
You are doing a fine work analyzing it all and giving us understandable summary. We are all thankful for your attempts to stave of potential ww3 that could erupt if things go out of hand these days. Chance is low, but highest for a long time, and when you look and see what is at stake, blood curdles in your bones.
As a side note, there are a few typos, mods can edit out this part of message when the article is fixed.
“… judging by the number of Novorussian leaders kill, I get the feeling that this are! …”
kill -> killed / assasanated
this are -> this is / they are
” … They could organized an …”
could organized -> have organized / could organize
” … themselves either incompetent (or worse). …”
themselves either incompetent (or worse) -> themselves incompetent (or worse) / themselves either incompetent or worse / themselves incompetent or worse

Was Ukie unit sent to make bombing (terrorist) attacks, or to destroy munitions/ordinance storage? (potentially awkward phrasing)

Mods, if you can, please do that.

Great article Saker, I hope they find that poor sweet father’s killers…he was such a good horseman – I bet he has had experience at the track – I loved that video of him and his wife riding those beautiful horses – his was white – hers was black – along that grassy causeway in DNR somewhere….his poor family..how sad…
My first thought when I heard of Motorola’s death, and being reminded of previous similar assassinations, was: “Why are they so exposed to being eliminated by whatever spying agencies at work?” I would expect that, at least the military and political leaders, since they live in a state of war really, were housed in protected compounds, not in ordinary houses or apartments, leading me to the assumption that they are being too casual about security. I find it hard to believe that he was a victim of internal squabbles unless the old stereotype of “Slavic Asiatic brutality” is true. Why kill a man because he has different ideas from one’s own?
The apparent observed trend seems to be currently that everyone remotely critical of the kibbutzUSA&YesMens/Womans way is being closed for business….So long as a site/country/commentator doesn’t rock this boat it will be allowed to continue: ie no real change will be allowed, resistance is useless, or, kill the bastards….sadness
I agree with your final conclusion. But have some points on other parts of the article. I have one of my first Donbass friends that posted on the murder yesterday (I’ve followed his posts since the start. He has always been reliable for what is happening on the ground there) He said he lives in the same neighborhood as Motorola,he heard the explosion. He recalled numerous times seeing Motorola walking around the neighborhood openly. And even on the local sports playing fields.Motorola was a brave (maybe foolish) hero. From his interviews we’ve seen his disdain for “leading from the rear”. I think the qualities that made him loved by his men, maybe could also have cost him his life.We really don’t know just how secure the building was.And since pro-Russian and pro-Ukie supporters look alike, both in many cases only speak Russian.I’m not sure how hard it would be for the SBU to infiltrate someone in to plant a bomb.We know from hearing from many sources that corruption, and passing from side-to-side goes on a lot there. So I think there is a strong possibility Kiev did it. Zakharchenko for one seemed pretty sure that it was the Ukies. I remember a month or so ago when Ukie supporters defaced the statue of Lenin right in the center of Donetsk.Without being seen or captured doing it.Security until now at least, leaves much to be desired.A state of emergency (open or not) needs to be declared. And harsh measures taken on security in Donbass. The complete and utter loyalty of Donbass officials needs to be assured. And those found to be double agents eliminated.
As to why Motorola ,and why now.I have a couple of ideas on that. Motorola was loyal. He was an icon to the NAF. And from what we heard about in the fighting, a brave ,tough, skilled, leader. Just the kind of man an enemy wants to do away with if they are thinking of restarting the fighting. He also as I said above, was not “keen” on personal security. So he would have been a “fairly” easy target. From some other stories we’ve heard about, there “seems” to be an unwritten rule, that the leaders of both sides refrain from personally attacking the other ones. The Ukie’s are notorious for breaking agreements, written,or unwritten. So I have little doubt they would that one as well. Its time Donbass follows suit.and reprisals take place.
Another point is on Lugansk. We “still” have no clear reading on the “attempted coup” there weeks ago.Was it in connection with Kiev as was reported or not. If it was,Motorola I recall was sent to enforce the military stoppage of the coup. That would be one more reason for Kiev to target him,as a reprisal for foiling that plot. As to Putin,I 100% agree he would have no reason to do that. Motorola was a Russian, and served loyally in Chechnya during the war. Putin could have ordered him home,if he wanted him out of Donbass.Motorola also as you said, along with Givi and Zakharchenko ,seen to be among those “most” loyal to Russia.Without any connections (that we know of at least) to anyone not wanting to follow Russia’s lead.Whether Kiev sent SBU agents, foreign Western specialists, used local pro-Ukie traitors,Russian pro-Ukie 5th columnists, or hired criminal elements. I think the best (so far) evidence points to the guilt for the murder as coming from Kiev.
Uncle Bob, I was in Donetsk last October (albeit for only 1 day), and I never saw even 1 soldier in the centre, and I think I didn’t see any military vehicles there either.
It is also impossible to be everywhere, all the time, not to mention there are traitors in Donetsk and also people who can be pressurised.
That was the point. The security isn’t up to what is needed.Hopefully it will be now.
Totally agree with your analysis, Uncle Bob 1. Great!
The signs for a restart of an offensive were in preparation since weeks ago culminating with the arrival of NATO mercenaries.
And this only benefit the US and its allies in Syira and Yemen where they are in serious trouble when last less than month for president change in the US ( recall that, deliberstely I do not talk about change of anything else, say foreign policy for this matter ).
Also, we must not forget that Russia lacks right now of Ambassador to the Ukraine since the person proposed by The Kremlin was rejected. This appointment took place, if I do not remember bad, when the episode of sabotage in Krimu which was aborted and took place. The appointed was not a career diplomatic but a Ryazan veteran skileed in some other fields apart from politics. So, even when I am sure the Russians have eyes and ears all over the Ukraine, perhaps not the kind of eyes and ears they would like to have or have directing and planning those of the others. I think you could understand.
As for Mossad, I do not know to what extend they depend on the Russians in the Middle East , but after the recent news on ormer Yemeni President Salleh, on the Houthi ressistance side, asking the Russians for support and the recent rumours of the Russians exploring the return to have military bases or outspots in the Horn of Africa just in the noses where the Isarelis have theirs, I do not discard anything. And for the possibilities to do it, they managed very well in the past to get killed certain and crucial engineers in nuclear energy in the very inside of Iran, being farsi a language much more uncommon to be found spoken in Israel and English is still not do spread in the Islamic Republic of Iran although increading, specially amongst the young generations. Anyway, the Persians as traders dating ftom ages are very skilled to languages.
Another thing I do mot discard at alll since we, the Russians and already even the population , agree in that the situation in the US is of total madness and chaos with the executive and the armed and security forces acting each one at their own albedrio, and since on which Israel really depends on is the US, I do not discard at all a section or the whole of the Mossad or the IDF going totally mad also to the rescue of their main benefactors.
Why not? Half of Israel speaks Russian perfectly.
P.S: I fear still keeping the gold medal on typos. I also would desire the mods could correct mines or attach the two parts of a comment which went through unfinished, as mod-fk has the amability to do last night, but I fear his would imply a hard job they can not afford.
Only I hope I am getting being understood in whst I post since the trouble it implies for me right now, fisically and technicaly.
@ Fatima
“trouble it implies for me right now, fisically and technicaly”
I shouldn’t worry about getting the cane for spelling mistakes. The problem is with the Inglish langij and it shood be rfomd.
I am not sure I understand you….are you meaning that my English is pretty bad?
Well, if this is so, what to say, you are totally right, but I will manage better when I got my computer again back ( in the way, hackertrolls! totally reshaped by “bro”) and could have several windows open to correct my mistakes beforw my comment goes through.
You will see…
How did the Khazarian Jews from New York and Hamburg manage to take over the great nation of Russia in the first place back beginning in 1917?
Because there are far more Hebrews in this world than you can shake a stick at, that’s how. The Jews or the tribe of Judah were destroyed in 70AD by the Romans. But what about the rest of them? People just don’t become lost. Especially whole tribes of them. They just hide in the shadows and wait until they are called upon. Since the Khazarian Jews are mostly atheistic, how would one know what they are up against.
Mr. Putin needs to spy on what he perceives as everyday Russians, even those who claim to be Orthodox and see what he can flush out.
Love the analysis! I can only add to this is that whoever masterminded these murders will pay. Their time will come. I have a feeling Putin will get to it very, very soon.
Can someone explain why he and his family weren’t living on a military base? For me, that would be the first step in safeguarding personnel. Leaving top commanders free to live and act like civilians in what is essentially a war zone strikes me as incompetence. Especially after previous attempts on his and other commanders’ lives.
Saker, thank you for the careful, thoughtful analysis. Do you believe that Zakharchenko would have given that public statement, in response to Pavlov’s murder, without first getting approval for this from the Kremlin?
Do you believe that Zakharchenko would have given that public statement, in response to Pavlov’s murder, without first getting approval for this from the Kremlin?
Yes. He can talk in any way he wants. But he cannot *do* anything except for minor stuff, without the Russians giving their go-ahead.
Thanks, Saker. Yes, big difference brtween talking and doing. I put this out there: a suspicious coordination between these events in Ukraine and odd events in Canada. Both in the summer during the failed sabotage in Crimea and this time. A prominent former Conservative politician, now Washington think-tank fellow, died in a small plane crash. Dead witnesses don’t tell?? This could point to one of our thug-oligarchs. And the godfather of Canada Conservative party under Harper is Sheldon Adelson. Just sayin’.
So why Canada, you may wonder? I think its because Canada’s special forces are investigating.
Remember this?
http://stalkerzone.org/11-canadian-mercenaries-go-home-bodybags-master-class-donbass/
What if that was actually a threat to Canada’s special forces about stirring up trouble in the Donbass? Trudeau’s Liberals have a clear motive because they could completely ice their rivals, the Conservative Party, who led Canada into the Ukraine in the first place. As well, the oligarchs behind Canada’s involvement in Ukraine may be gunning for Trudeau, who’s not their guy. So he has several reasons (some extremely personal!!) to try and collect some evidence.
Also, Canada’s renewed friendships with China and Iran may be a factor.
If SBS are lose in the area they may have just decided to do it, that’s what they do and they don’t always ask.
Motorola was killed probably because there is to be a world wide conflagration…..that is and could only be defined as a last ditch “hail mary pass”….the anglo zionists want nothing more than to start fires everywhere possible…and they dont want leaders like motorola and/or givi raising up to lead people against them…..they dont want trump…or m. savage….or assange…..or farage….or breitbart….or jones…..or RT…or syria…..or russia….they dont want the saker….and they dont want me…..or…… you to say or do anything except what they want……good luck on that…..looking forward to the coming events…..”no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should”…..and every tree and every rock…..shall cry out to reveal who it is that is hiding behind them…..they will be revealed and they will be removed from the face of this planet!!!!
Well Mick, if it is your good self, i’m happy you’re on board and i hope you’re right :)
Translate my handle and think of my nickname :)
I think others might appreciate this article about Motorola: https://slavyangrad.org/2016/10/17/knight-of-the-cheerful-countenance/
Also this, although some might not agree with the source, I still think it merits some attention: http://mozaika.dn.ua/news/exclusive/80328-kiev-obyavil-nam-voynu-zaharchenko-prokommentiroval-smert-motorolly-video.html – English translation via google does a reasonable job.
A big problem is that the border is virtually open. All kinds of agents and provocotuers could get in. There is no end to the devious techniques of the anti russians…..Svoyego roda zverey. Even western passport holders can get into and out of DPR, by giving some money or shiny things. No doubt even at high levels of the DPR there are fith columns and money chasers who would sell the bodies of the people of Donetsk if it made them rich.
I guess I posted too soon:

Motorola was assassinated, and Mr. Zakharchenko is very Very Angry. Watch and listen to him please.
Will they really take it to Kiev?
Have some coffee and talk amongst yourselves.

The Saker, this kind of analysis is why I keep coming back here. You are one of the few who know that if there is to be victory some day, the moral dimension is the key. And this means sometimes to be a moral person, you have to say and do things that are not in your personal interest. Bravo.
Michael Houston wrote: “Motorola was killed probably because there is to be a world wide conflagration”. I was reminded when I read this of the assassination of Ahmad Shah Massoud from the Northern Alliance days before the US invasion. The US knew the Northern Alliance were going to be given the keys to Kabul, but they didn’t want Massoud to lead it. I wonder if Michael is right, and this is an opening move to something much, much scarier.
I have to apologize to fellow commentators here, as well as the Saker, for only skimming through his piece before posting a comment, I am in a mad rush & will read it thoroughly tomorow but I felt there is something that needs saying here. Something that seems obvious to me in terms of motive for the murder of various commanders in Novorossia is who benefits most? Russia’s 5th column is the answer, other than the West/NATO/Anglo-American Axis-Empire, Russia’s 5th column are heavily invested in the sabotage of anything related to essential Russian national interests. I would recommend readers watch interviews with Duma MP Evgeny Federov, where he repeatedly talks about the extent to which supposed ‘pro-Russian’ forces in Ukraine, in the Donbass, in the administrations of DNR & LNR, are infiltrated by agents of Russia’s 5th column. In one interview Federov suggested that LNR’s head, Plonitsky, was totally in the 5th columns pocket & had clearly indicated that he was ready – under certain circumstances – to turn LNR over to the Kiev junta. This could be bull, of course, I don’t have time to elaborate too much, but Federov’s assessment & analysis seem quite incisive to me. It means that those who are probably knocking off Novorossia commanders, & there were attempts on Motorola before as well as a particularly serious attempt on Givi when his car was shot up in an ambush similar to the one carried out on Mozgovoi – are embedded within Russian society & can easily infiltrate the Donbass/DNR/LNR. Why? To sow seeds of dissension, discontent, stir up conflict within the Novorossian ranks – the best thing for the Kiev junta & their NATO backers would be a Novorossian civil war. Those of you out there who are Serbian & are familiar with what was taking place in our fatherland in the 90s will be familiar with this, there were a string of mysterious as yet unresolved high level assassinations in an attempt to turn the state apparatus in on itself. In the Hague, Vojislav Seselj revealed some detail of the various plots that were hatched to provoke a civil war in Serbia. This is a typical tactic that is used by the Atlanticists, this is what they attempted in Syria, & to this day they refer to it as a ‘civil war’ when it is a foreign backed terrorist invasion, the likes of which the world has never seen. So the first thing that occurred to me when I read about Motorola’s tragic murder, was that this is an attempt to provoke infighting within Novorossia, with the aim of starting a civil war. I doubt it will work, but they – the Atlanticists – are persistent. They’ll keep trying, Givi may be next, & Zaharcenko has already survived a number of attempts, more serious attempts are yet to come, because this can also be interpreted as a warning to the leadership of DNR – they are saying look, we got Motorola, it is a matter of time before we get you, so do a deal. Sell out.
1/Imad Mughnyeh’s widow lives in Lebanon (in Beirut southern suburb) with her family like all Hezbollah families .That the syrian secret services were infiltrated is true but so are all secret services in the world and to state the contrary would be infantile though in this case there were others on the Palestinian side as Hamas who had access to this zone.
2/your analyze is quite valid because it makes sense though you are right to point out that the Olympic games proceeded very well menaces not withstanding but how on earth the Russian Federation did not realize what was being prepared in Ukraine at the same time,it beats me!!
3/ the Atlanticists are not to be forgotten since they are prospering for example in the Foreign ministry as 5 years of war in Syria have suggested so why take away the possibility that they have elements embedded in the secret services as there is a faction(even if it is diminished) in Moscow that still today believes in a western rapprochement? And consequently would work to eliminate any body who in their views could be a possible obstacle in an entente with the West?
1/Imad Mughnyeh’s widow lives in Lebanon (in Beirut southern suburb) with her family like all Hezbollah families
Last time I checked, within weeks of Mugniyeh’s murder, she was in Iran (according to Press TV).
Has she moved back?
Has she made any further statements about the murder of her husband?
re widow Imad Mughnyeh,I would be very surprise that she lives in Teheran. When her own son Jihad was killed (spring 2015 if my memory serves me right) by “israel” in Quneitra Syria e.g. Golan she definitely was in Beirut idem when her brother Mustapha was killed near Damascus airport last year.Besides she has other children so I suppose she is were they are ,Lebanon. As for the declaration she made I don’t think it is as Press tv portrayed because she as other committed members of the party don’t talk about these things just the Secretary General has the capacity to do so and for many reasons one among them the Party and Syria alliance he chose to be silent about the finding of the inquiry and anybody who tells you other wise as some syrian opposition idiot is lying…She was received 3 times by Khamenei with her family at least 3 times that got media coverage:one for the martyring of her husband once for the martyring of her son and the last one for the martyring of her brother.
I’ve just had a more thorough read of the Saker’s piece & I will add this – I would not be too hard on Russia’s security services. I agree with the criticism in principle, but anyone who comes from a security background – I understand the Saker is a professional & qualified military analyst – I’m from a criminal justice background with some experience of the security sector, mainly prisons in the UK, well, anyone who knows anything about security knows the first rule – that there is no such thing. Nothing can be completely secured, including personnel, & Motorola’s security I would guess was probably organised by his own Sparta battalion. I have no way of knowing, but I doubt Russia’s security services had much involvement with this, they probably are protecting Zaharcenko, of that I’m sure. If my thesis is correct, admittedly it is not much of a thesis, but if I’m right that this is a 5th column op, or better yet, a 6th column op, then money & contacts can get a long way. I suspect one of the reasons Motorola was targeted was because he was a high profile persona who could be ‘got’ – that is – he was accessible & within reach. So they took him out because they could, & he is further down the chain of command & so serves as a warning to those higher up. One shouldn’t look for just one motive, there are many, intimidation being one of them but as I said in my previous comment, sowing the seeds of dissension another. If I was in Putin’s shoes, I would give this some priority & look into it, but I would instruct the security services to investigate the connections between 5th & 6th column characters with Donbass, find out who the US/NATO maybe using as ‘assets’ to infiltrate Donbass on their behalf & carry out operations like this one. It was obviously professional, we know that by the method & manner in which it was carried out, planted explosive, operated/detonated at a distance which implies around the clock surveillance – it was a professional hit. I suspect the ultimate perpetrators are in Moscow, but not in Putin’s trusted circle, but probably a circle close to Putin working for the West, i.e. 6th column. The 6th column is more suspect than the 5th in this type of situation, so I’ve revised myself a bit, look at the 5th but seriously investigate the 6th. That is my comment for now, I have yet to read what others have said but I’ll definitely do that tomorrow, after work.
Nothing can be completely secured, including personnel, & Motorola’s security I would guess was probably organised by his own Sparta battalion.
Yes, but dammit, ONE BUILDING can be secured. The fact that some supposed Ukie terrorists could have access to an elevator shaft is an outrage. And if Motorola really only had 1 to 3 bodyguards, this is yet another outrage. And if somebody could be observing that building to set off the bomb, this is outrageous too. On every single level I see gross professional incompetence. Both the GRU and the FSB could *easily* set up a safe perimeter. Where they bleep where they?!?!? (Sorry, I am pretty mad about this).
Kind regards,
The Saker
While it is too late to save him. I would think that now the leadership should move into compound areas. Where security could be assured more completely. Being scattered about all over the city in numerous apartments in residential buildings is a horrible idea during wartime.
You know, I absolutely agree, & I am as frustrated as you are – & not only in relation to this. I was one of those who at the start of the conflict following the fascist coup in Kiev, believed that Russia should intervene militarily. I wholeheartedly supported Strelkov’s line at that time – I don’t anymore, & wisdom in retrospect is a humbling quality. So I agree, in my view Russian security services, particularly military intel – GRU – should have Donbass on total lock down, from the first day of the conflict. But – & there is always a but, things are not so simple as you yourself know so well. The whole point of Russia refraining from intervening directly in Donbass was to avoid a terrible trap, & by taking the conflict to the Anglo-American Empire in the Middle East, I think Putin pulled a masterful maneuver, highly risky. So, back to point, this is a very amateurish guess on my part but here’s what I suspect the situation is with respect to the degree of Russia’s current involvement & presence in Donbass, & why something as simple as a building wasn’t secured. I suspect that Russia has to be very careful about what & whom it chooses to protect in Donetsk & Lugansk, for the same reasons as why they never intervened directly in the first place. I suspect that the attitude of the Kremlin is that people such as Motorola should have the competence & the personnel to arrange their own security, & there are obvious precautions that one should take – for example, not drawing to much attention to oneself. He was very visible, media savvy & a celebrity, he had to know that he couldn’t afford to be in any one place at any one time for too long. Security in a conflict situation is very much dependent on mobility, keep moving. It may be a pain in the backside, but for professional soldiers some discomforts have to be tolerated. If the Kremlin’s position is what I think it is, then I suspect this is why Motorola ended up being a sitting duck. And we don’t know that he was warned, he certainly had prior warning in the form of numerous attempts on his life. Personally, unless is was essential for him to be there, I don’t even believe he should have been present in Donetsk at all during this supposed ‘ceasefire’ period. I am absolutely of the view that the Kremlin really should have tight control there, but they clearly do not & so I’m trying to figure out why that is. Zaharcenko has spoken & publicly is blaming Kiev, & issuing threats of retaliation, but I don’t buy it & I don’t think it’s Kiev that he’s threatening, that’s just cover. Again, I think it’s the 6th column, no doubt with Western logistical support, & I suspect Zaharcenko was sending them a message that there are ways & means of getting back at them if they persist with this internal sabotage of Russia’s new frontier in Donbass – which is what Novorossia really is.
Good soldier,
May his soul rest with the Devas.
The mere stalemate in Syria and Novorossyia indicates lack of Kremlin in will and resources to fight decisively in two fronts.
In Donbass / Lughansk they could keep Sloviansk and Take Mariupol since 2015. Now any attempt to reverse the situation, it is very expensive for Kremlin.
In Syria one year of Russian support resulted in small changes, but increased the agony of Syrians and the Aassad regime.
The BRICS Summit didn’t bring any support to Russia from other members.
There isn’t any doubt that Syria and Novorossyia military activities are two proxy wars of the West. They have unlimited capitals, and they are dragging deeper and harassing non stop Russian. Part of this strategy is shelling and eliminating prominent leaders. This WILL GO ON NON STOP Until Russia gives up. Of course they aren’t looking for Peace, they are forcing INTERNATIONAL OBIEDENCE, including Russia and China.
On February 17, 1950, James Paul Warburg confidently declared to the United States Senate: “We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by Conquest or Consent.”
To me this is clearly a Mossad/CIA operation using local collaborators. It is a serious mistake to underestimate both their ability to carry this out and their motives. I like Putin and I sincerely hope that he is everything he seems to be but such unquestioning hope in a man is bordering near worship. Call me fifth column if you desire but I am just as perturbed as you are about this shameless, cowardly act and I acknowledge that you have a better connection to the situation than I, still your conclusion is hard to take because if you are right Novorossiya is acting against its own interests at a super critical time. Why would they act in a way that effectively stillborns what they have fought for so hard and are still fighting, why? This is a Mossad/CIA specialty, they are the best and anyone who is a figure in the fight against the Anglo-Zionist Empire is fair game, they are devious soulless cowards, this is fun for them and demoralizing to their foes.
The Canadian media is calling Motorola a warlord. There are lots of warlords, but he wasn’t one of them.
Like the overwhelming majority of The Saker’s readers, I knew Motorola only via the short appearances seen on sundry short videos.
And, like many, though I have no authority whatsoever in claiming any science in the matter, lacking additional information, I judge a person from his demeanor, appearance, things said and whatever other factual information may be reliably available.
Everybody here agrees that Motorola was a person showing nobility and courage.
Speculation for speculation, Kiev’s government figures are obviously buffoons and proxy lackeys. But beneath the surface, it is reasonable to assume that there is a cadre of agents very skilled in their trade (including murder for hire) and know how to infiltrate, bribe, promise and coerce ‘operatives.’ After all, for years, the US has been shouting to the world that they are ‘training’ the Ukrainians in all sorts of warfare etc.
In Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iran the Usrael entity has been (and is) capable of carrying out murders and terrorist acts essentially at will. And since they can also print money at will, they can equally and easily find some for whom “Gold were as good as twenty orators, / And will, no doubt, be tempted to anything.”
Zakarchenko knows who they are – I hope he finds them.
As an aside, however, I have read more than once comments, whereby the Soviet Union was a zionist enterprise.
Perhaps because of my live experience of the Soviet Union, however limited and hampered by ignorance of the language, it seems to me that the USSR was the antithesis of the jewish religion, even more so than of the catholic, let alone the islamic religions.
For what is worth (and admitting that history is in the eye of the historian), it is entirely possible that the original revolutionary cadre contained many Jews. But it does not mean that, later, the USSR carried out a Zionist oriented policy – I would say it was the contrary. Which instead is the current hallmark of the US, at least since the 1980s.
In the West, I think, the Zionist policy has veered towards the Talmudic realization of Jewish supremacy over anyone non-jewish. And though it is reasonable to assume that not all Jews relish this prospect, they go along with the flow. Partly because the Talmud is their bible, partly because it sounds good (for them), or at least it has a positive tinge.
As the Saker documented some time ago, at the time of the collapse of the USSR, the the new government of the ‘destroyers’ apart from the pizza-monger Gorbachev, contained a large number of Jews.
Talking about world domination, I came across an article written by a Joel Stein in the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times of the West Coast.
It said, “As a proud Jew, I want America to know about our accomplishments. Yes we control Hollywood. I don’t care if Americans think that we are running the newsmedia, Hollywood, Wall Street and the government. I just care that we keep running them.”
Printing statements like these on a major newspaper is not a chance occurrence. And counting on the unfathomable uninterest of the average American in world affairs, let alone geography, Usrael has pulled no stops in the current presidential campaign. Insuring that the next presidency be assigned to someone compared to whom even a Harpie looks attractive. Paraphrasing Churchill, “If Hell would declare itself against Clinton, I would find something good to say about the devil.”
It is a pity that the Jews as a whole, except for the admirable and laudable exceptions, do not ask themselves why there is not an Anti Defamation League for the Burgundians, the Brettons, the Finns, the Sicilians etc. That would be, in my view, a good start.
In some respect, the situation today echoes the times of the Weimar Republic, and we know how it ended.
This murder (fake or real) is user by the pseudo patriots to accuse one last time Russia and Putin of abandoning the suffering people in Donbas, hoping to start a war. One of the so called leaders of the rebels called for murdering millions of Ukrainians and destroying their cities in revenge – making the peace and the implementation of the Minsk agreement even less likely. So the only beneficiary is the Empire.
Which leader would that be. I’ve heard calls for bringing needed retribution to those involved in the murder. But nothing like what you posted.
Mikhail Sergeyevich Tolstykh, better known by his callsign Givi, is a commander in the pro-Russian “Somali Battalion” in the War in Donbass
Don’t know if his statement regarding the Motorola are available in English
I suspect that Western intelligence agencies and their Kiev puppet regime are ultimately responsible for all of LPR and now DPR assassinations. However, the West clearly has a number of collaborators (some of which might very well be in high positions) on the ground in LPR/DPR territory. And Russia definitely needs to help big time to smoke them out.
Frankly, with Hillary’s presidency almost inevitable (which reveals the US oligarchs’ collective vote for a new ‘Cold War’ or even hot war against Russia/China), Russia should simply go in and do a regime change in Kiev before Hillary enters the White House in January. Better to get the job done now before a more costly war would have to be fought further down the road. And these Western-orchestrated terrorist attacks against Donbass leaders would be the perfect justification for the intervention.
Not going to happen. Putin will be insane to fight at two front, and Syria has higher priority for obvious reasons.
Novorussia problem is spill over from Crimea. Poor people of Novorussia caught in the middle been used and abused by both Russia and Ukraine.
The ultimate responsible party is Putin because he is the president. I know his hands was forced on both Crimea and Novorussia, but it was his team took time to act, and did not pro active on the crisis or find mitigation in time after it happen. What he has now is a few generation of hostility right at old home land, with people used to be brothers. Hardly anything worth such trouble, but Crimea maybe…
Putin need to put a team together and find real solution fast. But what is the real solution?!
“I know his hands was forced on both Crimea and Novorussia, but it was his team took time to act, and did not pro active on the crisis or find mitigation in time after it happen.”
I know exactly what you mean and this is an absolute natural thought: why not stop a disaster in the making? While this is true for simple situations, like when you see a child running towards a dangerous street. No need to find out, what will happen, when the child is on the street! But for very complicated situations – like Ukraine – it is a sign of very deep psychological and even metaphysical understanding and knowledge: to let the scenarios unfold.
If you have seed, but don’t know for sure, which plant it is, what can you do? Yes, plant it and wait and see what it will become.
If you’re not sure about the character of a person, what can you do? Observe his words and more so his deeds, especially in critical and stressful situations and you will find out.
Unfortunately Ukraine is pus in Eurasia’s body. What do you do with pus? You open the body, let it bleed and scrape out the pus. Sounds cruel? But the innocent people? The Children? The torture? I know… Don’t blame me for cruelty and cold heartedness. I’m just telling you which thoughts are thought on a very high geopolitical level. Those who are responsible for the “project humanity” know the real purpose of this project and this purpose is certainly not that everybody lives happily together and that there is nowhere blood. At least not now here (on Earth).
In the end Ukraine will be dismantled and what will remain will be Novorossia, Malorossia and Poland, Hungary and Romania will eventually get some pieces. [According to Zhirinovsky even Poland will disappear from the map and this was already agreed between USA & Russia. I really don’t know how this will unfold…]
If only you knew how few western special services officers are capable of speaking Russian, even on a basic level… You are quite mistaken here, the western special services are mostly known for the incompetence, especially against sophisticated security services (like the Russians or the Chinese). And Russia does not need any help smoking out mostly hapless western spies. What Russia does need help with is finally purging itself from Russian traitors and 5th columnists… But help from whom? God Almighty probably…
No matter this nation contributed with highly prominent figures in all the fields of science, arts and more, Russia never was able to create a homogeneous pro Russian elite. So it isn’t a surprise to me that you have reached a similar conclusion with what Tolstoy stated 162 years ago.
Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy, “My Little Bluebells”
My little bluebells,
Flowers of the steppe!
Why do you look at me,
You, azure ones?
And what tinkle you about
On a happy day of May,
Nodding your heads,
Amidst unknown grass?
. . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . .
My horse, my Slavic horse,
Wild and unruly!
Steed, we have our freedom!
Having left the cramped world behind!
We fly in full career
Towards an unknown goal.
How will our ride end?
In bliss? Or in sorrow?
It is not for man to know-
Only good knows!
To predict the future we must understand the past …
All roads lead to Rome.
Once that is understood, it’s easier to draw a map.

While all the possibilities must be explored, the one which immediately crossed my mind was …traitors within! Putin does not plan to sell Novorossia, and he does not need to kill all the heroes one by one. A bomb was planted in the house (am I right?), how was it possible? where was the security service? who entered the house… there is something really fishy in all this, and they have to get to the bottom quickly because the criminal pattern repeats itself, killing very useful people. Of all the possibilities, I think it was an inside job.
I’m Russian, though been out of the country for many years. I have been following the events that takes place in Novorissia since the whole thing started a few years ago. I do agree with the conclusion: Putin cannot afford such a mess on the Russia’s border, especially at times like now.
I supported the use of force by the Russian military to nip the Nazi movement in Ukraine in the bud. There are many people in Russia who are of the same opinion; probably even more now than 2 years ago.
The reasons for not overtly supporting the people of Novorossia – who by all means expected such support to the comparable extent that Russia gave to Crimea – that were provided by the Russian experts are still not very convincing to me: the sanctions (imposed anyways); the war with NATO (like EU countries have no fear of the total destruction they will sustain in such case) and all that BS.
The reason that Putin himself gave in an interview – that the facts given to him by the intelligence at that time, indicated that at most 60 percent of the Novorossian population would have supported a direct involvement of the Russian forces – did not sound very convincing to me or many others in Russia also.
Today, however, I hear more voices in the Russian expert community that the strategy selected by Putin in Novorossia was the faulty one. The direct open intervention would have probably gained better results.
Most probably it would (to name a few key ones): (1) resulted in considerably fewer deaths, especially among the civilian population; (2) allowed for a possibility to connect Crimea to Russia by land; (3) save the Novorossian economy and by extension the Ukrainian economy as well; (4) prevent NATO troops from being on the Ukrainian (historically Russian except for the most western part called Galicia) soil; (5) prevent a rift (that now borders on hatred) between the Russians and the Ukrainians, both by ethnicity, and by nationality; (6) prevent the Malaysian airliner incident.
Such intervention could have been conducted on humanitarian reasons: e.g., there were facts of mass killings of civilians (mass graves have been discovered), which constitute instances of atrocity and genocide; these can be classified as acts of war crimes by the Ukrainian regime.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, Putin blinked, and the Americans were able to turn the whole thing in their own favor (good job). Instead of what Russia could have become in the eyes of the people (in Russia, in Ukraine, and possibly abroad) – the savior of the Russian World (that was the initial Putin’s claim and intention), and the protector of justice – it became (allegedly) an aggressor, a liar, a revisionist, and all that.
I don’t know what the Russians will plan now, but it is obvious that no type of the cessation of fire agreements can work (because facts on the ground indicate the opposite). The Nazi propaganda is spreading in Ukraine like cancer. It turns Russian-Ukrainians against Russia, and we, who suffered from the Nazis in the WW2 (my grandfather, and great grandfather were killed by the Germans) absolutely cannot afford it. It is a high time for Putin to get more decisive, do what needs to be done, and better sooner than later.
Cyberia,
I have heard this complaint from quite a few people, and many of them are Russian. And considering it would be Russians fighting and dying for this cause, I have to take it seriously. I prefer to believe the “Judo Putin” meme, that he understands that the West doesn’t win by force, but through propaganda. Similar people were venting when the Russians pulled up stumps in Syria this year and negotiated a ceasefire. I felt this pang, but as I am not sending my own children into harms way I had no say. I felt that Putin in Syria was countering all the future propaganda angles one-by-one. Just imagine if Russia has assaulted Aleppo in February, the howls from the MSM would have been deafening! But after the world saw the US break the ceasefire recently, we have turned out backs, put our fingers in our ears and asked Russia to let us know when she is finished. I believe this is the same game being played in the Ukraine, and to date I have not had reason to doubt Mr. Putin’s geopolitical skill.
I am loath to use the word trust, but so be it. I have no choice, otherwise Western monsters will terrorise the globe like so many Godzillas. I am a little worried though to hear the Saker express such frustration, as I know very little about internal Russian or Ukrainian politics his reaction is cause for concern. His point about incompetence is valid, but I still think the Russians are playing a slightly longer game. We have in our near future the economic collapse of the EU and the USA, pulled down even faster by the Ukrainian albatross around their necks. The US is getting weaker, while the Russians and Chinese are getting stronger. While I bleed for the Novorussians, time is on Russia’s side. As Stalin did with Hitler, the longer the war can be held off the more likely Russia will win. I have no other option but to trust Mr. Putin, the alternatives are too dark to contemplate.
Poroshenko offered Putin LPR and DPR in exchange for money but Putin refused. For Ukraine the war is not going ti end and they will keeo sending young men to die, economy of Ukriane will not get much invetsment when it is at war. The non bannderist, jewish element of the Kiev junta wanted to make money and sell the pro russian areas to Russia which are impossible to control by Kiev.
The sanctions would have been worse. Could Putin have survived if Russian elites lost access to the West for things like their children in Oxford, their villas and mistresses in Italy, and their bank accounts in Switzerland and Jersey? One thing he has managed to accomplish is to avoid a civil war within the elites, and that could easily have happened if Russia were occupying/helping more than half of the Ukraine.
I’m not sure that is a good thing. The type of elite you mention needs to be purged “sooner rather than later”.And if that would cause the purging, then it needed to happen.
A purge is if you win, or the complaints of the losers who have fled abroad. Kind of like treason – it doesn’t exist, because, if you win, none dare call it treason. One would imagine that there is a fair chance that Putin would lose an all-or-nothing fight with pro-Western/liberal elites.
Besides, this is assuming that Putin wants to weed out the pro-Western types. What evidence is there for this? Take the top twenty or so “establishments” in Russia, such as education, banking, etc. and ask how many of them have been cleaned of pro-Western/liberal folks.
I’ve been waiting for Putin’s purge 5th column for a long time. But recently it seems to me that he has been purging siloviki (S.Ivanov, A. Fedorov). I simply don’t understand.
As far as I know, S. Ivanov was not “purged”. He was just appointed by Putin as a masterchief of “Silk road” Sino-Russian project.
Yes, in what he was clearly an expert since leaded all the meetings with the Chinese in this issue. The same with all the following “dismissed” “retired” as if age would count at all for these matters with all the acknowledge, experience and wisdom all these veterans have achieved through decades
It,s the same it happens to me when I see those who attack Hillary Clinton because of health issues. Despite the fact that to attack someone for health matters favours clearly the attacked, I would remind here that Mr Andropov was very ill in his last yeara and to my knowledge worked I think efficiently till the last breath.
true russian values cannot be forced onto those ukrainians who are falsely lead by eu promises and deformed sense of values of history—Putin’s “patience” will either lead these to be expurgated in time naturally, or it will get worse, no sense in continually rising to provocations, let ukraine exhaust themselves .
But yes….novorossiyans will probably remember statements from two years ago that russian peoples and culture will be protected………………..getting very edgy now in Donbass–Lughansk seems to be a different situation altogether, in recent months they seemed to have “joined’ at least military…..but politically, culturally are there more similarities than differences?
Rough rocks. Find your U.S. Grant and “I intend to fight it out all along this line if it it takes all summer.”. F..k (edited MOD) everything except destroying the enemy’s ability to wage war. In Motorola’s honour and memory remember Shilo. “Whup ’em tomorrow though”.
As I recall, some of the critics of Kremlin policy implied that a goal was to demoralize the locals in the Donbass so that they would be willing to go back under Kiev rule. Endless shelling and the deaths of their popular figures would help to do this. Another goal of demoralization was to prevent anyone from getting the crazy idea that a non-oligarchical society was possibly. In other words, you can live as a serf under Ukrainian masters, Russian masters, or Donbass masters, but no better world is possible. And a better world is what motivated the Russian Spring in the first place.
Not saying this is true, but it did seem to be a common meme.
Really, though, the question is why Moscow hasn’t cleaned things up there. It is a bit of a mystery.
Radio Svoboda quotes Caucasus Times: Suhumi TV center bomber is Sergey Torosenko from DNRs Motorola group.
The Russian position seems to be to let independent political entities remain independent and work from across that fence. So if this is Novorussian infighting, or the emergence of a Novorussian Deep State, the FSB would perhaps be aware of it generally but leave it to the independent players to sort out among themselves.
The lack of apparent concern for Novorussian public leadership assassinations could come back to haunt the Russians. However, the idea that the FSB/Putin did it is ridiculous; the consequences of such meddling are always an unknown and arguably not worth the trouble.
As for the CIA/Mosad etc., while they have no immediate motivation, they may perceive the need for training and practice and have no shortage or resources. There’s also the shadow economy favours owed and alliances made. The loss of experienced Novorussian public/paramilitary leadership could come in handy in the future.
Too bad about Motorola, but knowing little of him personally or his record as a commander and place in the Novorussian movement, its tough to say much more than condolences to his family and friends. He seemed like a good guy.
I’m not clear on Novorussian political sophistication, but they might want to put together a shadow Constitution that includes defining the place, regulation and function of the covert security-intelligence services as a branch of government.
Its the glaring flaw of the Western-styled democracies insofar as the Deep State is become a thing, like it or not. Yet the ‘information branch’ is not really recognized for what it is, a branch of government as powerful as the executive, judicial, and legislative branches.
“Be not careless in deeds, nor confused in words, nor rambling in thought.” by Marcus Aurelius Antoninus.
In honor of Motorola and all the other brave fighters for Novorossia that ,living or dead, fought for the peoples freedom:

In the same day ,Pavlov(motorola) will be bury the little fearful mouse of kremlin will shake the hand of porky in berlin.he is far one from the most slavish leader in history `Leaders of Russia, Germany, France, Ukraine to meet on Minsk agreement on Wednesday The leaders of Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine have agreed to meet to discuss the implementation of the Minsk peace plan that was supposed to end the conflict in eastern Ukraine and to consult on further steps, a German government spokesman said. Steffen Seibert said on Tuesday that Merkel had invited the other leaders to Berlin for the talks on Wednesday evening – just over a year after the four leaders last met in this so-called “Normandy” format. The Minsk agreement was negotiated by Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France in February 2015. (Reuters)
This is truly amazing. Just a few says ago, Putin said that there will be no more meetings in “Normandy” format in the foreseeable future. Repetition is the way of learning… and, and, one step forwerd, two steps back, this tango gets exciting.
All good and correct, but the leader of the former The Ukraine is not Poroshenko. He is just the installed chief Quisling of the Junta. The leader of Ukraine is Victoria ‘Cookies’ Nuland/Knudelmann.
1) there’s a clear pattern of assassination of people who have been efficient on the ground
2) leader’s assassination is common warfare. Moreover there are cash prizes on those people.
3) Ukrain vs DPR situation is special in the sense that Ukrain is packed with people who can blend in DPR (or LPR for that matters). It makes a certain kind of operation not only easier, but the natural course, as opposed to droning bearded men to death in other situations.
I agree with the Saker that’s the main question is the one of protection. We can’t blame Zacharenko for not caring, given he’s been targeted too. So what happens exactly ?
Also, don’t we risk to see this backfire on Ukrainian leaders ?
CIA-SAD/SOCOM/USAISA/MI6/SAS/SBS/Mossad/IDF/etc.etc.etc: why not them?
Biden openly said that a “message” to Putin is being sent or to be sent.
Those people are raging in fury for their “impotence” in Syria due to the “victory” of Russia and Assad for Aleppo. Any thing that can damage, directly or indirectly, Putin, also by means of inciting some “nationalists on armchairs”, the classical useful idiots, against him, are not to be excluded.
Anyway I fully agree that the security in DPR and LPR appears to be a mess.
Just come up on the daily fail newspaper. Please read with a large amount of suspicion and be critical of this anti-Putin/Russia MSM BS site, and note how they start off with their criticism of Motorola as a ‘warlord’ when instead he was a heroic and courageous Donbass defender, and twist their article with trying to link him to MH17: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3846722/Was-notorious-Russian-warlord-killed-knew-downing-MH17-Feared-mercenary-commander-killed-explosion-apartment-block-masked-Nazi-group-vows-assassinations.html
“We are about to enter fantastically dangerous times. And find the bastards who murdered Motorola.”
*
Let’s repeat for the nth time: this is war, this is TOTAL war! Now!! Not tomorrow or the day after. Right now!!!
The explicit daily threat exists that similar events, together with much more devastating and deadly ones, proliferate from now on throughout Russia… and everywhere against Russia and Russians. It is real, serious, persistent, coming from vile, treacherous “partners” whose track record speaks eloquently for itself!… They will not simply vanish on the horizon.
Russian brothers and sisters, it is high time to mobilize systematically, fully, to be extremely vigilant defending yourselves, to accurately identify and to strike all enemies mightily, fiercely, mercilessly, as required. This is total war, a matter of life and death for all Russians. Sadly and reluctantly, we are entering a no nonsense episode of our respective lives. Please do take care.
Thank you for the above, Saker.
Lol. The Great Putin Apologist is really straining, and getting mad too. Putin’s MO is clear by now. He helps those who oppose the Hegemon’s savage desire for global rule – just enough and yet never enough. Motive? He plays the role of controlled opposition to the Hegemon.
A note: you do not grasp something as basic as the concept of a circular argument. It is embarrassing. Please play a better game.
My point of view is neither love for Russia – though there is much to love about Russia – or love for the US – though there is much to love about the US; my point of view is love for humanity and belief that we can have a global human future that is not domination by some hegemon, be it the US, the Kremlin, the New World Order, the Evil Aliens or whatever. We can choose as a human species to do so much better.
Putin apologetics don’t help humanity to have a better future than the one that looms over us now any more than US apologetics.
Exactly paul.
The “multi-polar” resistance is a myth – but unless we realise that we cannot even start to fight the real problem.
Here’s China’s “controlled opposition” (as a BRIC) while hundreds of millions there languish in squalour https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2016/03/25/chin-m25.html
First of all I would like to pay tribute to Motorola brave fighter and defender of Donbas.
There is a war on, and he has fallen.
There is a war on.
Sometimes the simplest explanation comes from the person themselves;
He knew that he may not survive the war. He stated that, there is film of him saying so, no need to over analyse.
Those that seek to place blame in Moscow are like the Neo con regime changers, they want Moscow to take over all of Ukraine and are angry they have not done so. Therefore Moscow is to blame for everything.

Meeting
This meeting comes like a thunder from clear sky.
I don’t really understand the way, the how and why
But who am I and who are we, to understand this
When they are going again to share a Judas kiss
We are the trash, and upon us, the Big Players
They count the cards while we are their buyers
But truly, they are scared cause the Time is ticking
And the Day will come, faster as they even thinking
I can’t currently see what they’d be scared of ioan – some of us (the real opposition) are still counting on “multi-polarity” as a saviour when it is nothing but smoke & mirrors.
Major nuclear war? no way – they breathe the same air we do.
They have more pepper spray & commando boots than needed – the real fight will be extrremely difficult but we first need to understand who the the real enemy is.
This is a class war.
Some months ago, Iranian officers/advisors where being taken out one after the other in Syria.
With the earlier killings in LPR, They could be put down to organised crime or even too independent to work with Russia. Taking out the talented popular leaders in east Ukraine is similar to what was happening with the Iranian advisors in Syria. With apparently less corruption/organised crime in DNR, the likes of Motorola and Givi are harder targets.
US is dismissed as a suspect because of incompetence? The old saying, never underestimate the enemy.
For me, the murder of Motorola is reminiscent of 9-11 in the US. It smells like an inside job.
Putin is an admirable leader in so many ways. I love to watch those videos where he chats with reporters about issues. He can do this for hours and it’s all off the cuff, to some extent, and he shows such sophisticated understanding of issues. And it’s not just that he has a wondrous grasp of complexities. He also is able to see multiple sides of issues. His mind can see things from an historical perspective, an economic perspective, a cultural perspective, a geo-political perspective, a military perspective, etc.. In my life time I have seen no other major leader like him, apart from Chavez. They should all be like him, but most are clowns. Sock puppets. Putin has the kind of mind that every major leader should have.
Putin is also gutsy. He can make the tough call like no other leader I have ever seen. He never loses his cool, but he’s not emotionless.
Putin isn’t much of a public speaker, sadly. He prefers a conversational style. When he gives a speech, his voice and manner are like that of a school lad reluctantly giving a report. He almost mumbles. Even so I prefer his mumbling to Obama’s rhetorical booming. Obama is pure political puff pastry. Putin does speak from both the head and the heart and this is why he is the only political figure I have seen in my lifetime who has produced truly powerful moments of oratory. Who can ever forget Putin saying at the UN “do you yet realize what you have done?” To stand before assembled world leaders and pose this question to them? This was the most profound moment of political rhetoric since, I would say, Martin Luther King. This Putin stood before the world and confronted it with a question that should have shaken world leaders to their core. Of course, they ignored it. But what a moment. World history, if there is such a thing in the future, will never forget it.
But in the end, Putin is a chess master. This is the sad thing. He loves the game. He does not really care about the outcome. He just loves the game. As far as I can tell, there is no ideology in the man – and I mean ideology in the best sense. I’m not speaking of the kind of ideology that blinds. I’m speaking of the kind of ideology that inspires. Yes Putin is gutsy, but he does not have the kind of inner strength that can only come from having some kind of faith, in the best sense, and some meaningful ideas about how human society should evolve. In terms of ideology, there is no there there.
Perhaps Putin was scarred by the failure of the Soviet Union. There ideology was emphasized to such an extreme that it became a mockery, in some ways little more than a cover for rampant corruption. Much the same has happened in the West with the ideology of capitalism. What he should understand from the failures of both the Soviet Union and the west is that ideology must always remain humane. Without ideology, we cannot be truly strong. But it must remain alive, evolving and above all, humane. If we cannot be good, we must at least strive to be decent – ie never forgetting that we are human beings seeking to live constructively in community.
So it is that Putin’s role in history is ultimately to be a cipher. His role is to obscure the true meaning of global events, to obscure the true direction of their trend. He is perhaps “controlled opposition” in its ultimate form. When he speaks of his ostensible enemies as his “partners” and “friends”, we should believe him.
Why was Motorola killed? I suppose only time will give clear answers to such a question. I suspect it was to send a message to Donetsk – a message of “simmer down”. It was perhaps a reminder to the head of Donetsk that only those who remember that it is all a game can sustain long and prosperous careers.
But of course, it is not just a game. The future of humanity is being shaped and the forces shaping it, the forces of the Global Hegemon, are relentless. It’s too bad we couldn’t combine Chavez and Putin into one person. Such a person would have had the strength to oppose the global Orwellian state.

“Motorola was described as a ‘warrior from God’ in Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda after his death, and had previously featured on a set of commemorative stamps in the region.
Footage supposedly taken by Pavlov’s killers, who claim to be anti-Moscow rebel factions, shows fighters giving the Nazi salute after a masked figure declares: ‘Good day, this video is being recorded in Donetsk, where we have just liquidated the well known terrorist Motorola.'”
“Russian journalist Yulia Latynina linked his death directly to his knowledge as a field commander of those guilty of shooting down MH17.
Pavlov was ‘the one who knew who hit the Boeing’, she said.
It has also been suggested that Russian forces want to purge figures linked to war crimes. Alex Kokcharov, a Ukraine and Russia risk analyst at London-based IHS Markit defence and security consultancy, said Moscow may want ‘more acceptable civilian faces not directly implicated in MH17 or war crimes’.’

R. Ischenko talked about this phenomenon recently. A number of unprincipled people are used to being part of govt who will do anything for short term benefit. Same kind of things happen in Kiev. IMO SBU could have a hand in this through insiders. Time for house cleaning.
“The people involved (as actors or accomplices) to these murders ought to be found and shot.”
Realpolitik and Christianity: you can have one or other, but not both.
The problem with the “Putin did it” theory is that it is based on a circular argument which goes like this: “since Putin wants to sell-out Novorussia, he murders Novorussian patriots, and he murders Novorussian patriots because he wants to sell-out Novorussia”.
——
Not at all. The above is one single argument stated twice with different words.
A circular argument would go something like this:
He murders Novorussian patriots in order to sell out Novorussia.
and
He sells out Novorussia in order to murder Novorussian patriots.
That’s what a circular argument is.
Having said all that, I do NOT think that Putin was behind this.
But the idea that the Ukranian security services and their western pals are too dumb and incompetent, or too concerned about Russian anger, to orchestrate this operation is really naive.
Most likely it was a contract job. People are willing to risk a lot for money.
I watched Givi and Motorola on a daily basis in 2014. Sad to see what has happened in Ukraine.
So, Saker, Southfront, and Shary are saying things don’t add up with the Motorola hit. Maybe, from their perspectives thousands of kilometers from where it happened. But I’m about 500 meters from where it happened, and here’s my take –
1) There have been 2 previous attempts on Motorola’s life in the last 6 months. At the hospital in June, and behind his apartment building in August. Somebody’s been out to get him for a while. Whoever killed him had tried at least twice before, and failed. Sparta has their own intelligence unit, and connections to the intelligence services of the DNR. If someone here was out to get him, had already tried twice, Motorola would have had a real good idea of who it was. If it was someone from the DNR side, he would have known there was no way they wouldn’t eventually get him. It would have been certain suicide for him to stay, as well as risking the lives of his wife and kids. He could easily have “pulled a Strelkov” and moved to Crimea and retired to write his memoirs, exposing whatever traitors he thought had it in for him. But he didn’t. I’ve seen him several times, strolling with his wife and baby in the city center, shopping, going out to eat. Not what he’d have been doing if he thought he had to worry about getting it in the back from his comrades or leaders. Not at all. He was fearless, but not stupid by a long shot. Especially with the lives of his wife and kids.
2) Zaharchenko trusted Motorola enough to send him and Sparta to the LNR to safeguard Plotnitsky during /after the coup attempt. That’s a big responsibility. One not likely given to someone you were planning to kill, and someone you had tried to kill twice already.
3) “High security building”? I’ve been in that building more than once myself. They have Babushkas guarding the door, not MGB or Sparta. It is a multi floored apartment building where ukrop semi-oligarchs used to live. Ukrops have the blueprints and probably old sets of keys that just might still work. The elevators are Otis. Made in the USA. Maybe they needed “repairs” recently, you know, like the WTC did in August ’01.
There are MANY vantage points, hundreds, from which an assassin could see when Motorola came home, and the tech is cheap and easy to detonate a bomb via cell phone (2 out of 3 cell services in DPR are still owned AND OPERATED by ukrops) and if you have a cell phone detonator, it is nothing to add a camera or mic function to the rig, to make sure the target is in the kill zone when you press the button.
4) I trust and respect Alexander Vladimirovich Zaharchenko. He’s a good guy, and he’s doing a good job that sure ain’t easy. I saw his vid from last night, and I really doubt he was acting. I believe the technical term is “F**kin’ PISSED”. .He threatened directly ukrop army and secret services, something I doubt was pre-approved by Moscow. He called Arseny Sergeyevich Pavlov his “good friend”, and I think he meant it.
5) So does Sparta Brigade, one of the biggest and strongest units in the whole Novorussian Army. Because if they thought Zaharchenko had anything to do with it, they’d be in the streets already, and nobody could stop them. BUT THEY’RE NOT. Motorola was loved by his men and many. many other people here. Zaharchenko would be committing political suicide to kill him, and what reason could he have? Motorola had just proven himself a trusted and loyal officer to Zaharchenko and Novorussia in the LPR only weeks before. Apparently, the people that are in a position to know, and to do something about it, do not think it was an “inside job”.
6) Cui Bono? Nobody in the DPR, that’s for sure, and nobody loyal to the future of the RF, either. First, Motorola was a GREAT commander. Courageous, skilled, and loved by his men. The DPR NEEDS Commanders like that. It was a strategic loss, from a military perspective. This war ain’t over yet, and we may well be coming up on the hardest part in the near future. Second, if things get hot in Syria, they will heat up here. Things are STILL hot as Hell at the Front, and getting hotter, here and in Syria, every day. The war goes on, and we cannot afford to bump off our own best commanders. If the Army falls, the Republic falls, and our Army suffered a grave loss last night. Motorola was not, to my knowledge, seeking political power or in any conflict with the Administration here. He was not running for office, was not listed in the Primaries, made no public statements about politics, or much of anything else.
7) The Kiev and US fascists are celebrating tonight, the murder of one of their most powerful and charismatic foes. Someone who had whipped their ass at the Donetsk airport, and all along the Donbass Front. The only thing that could make them happier would be to see some suspicion and in-fighting break out between Sparta and the Administration, and for other DPR Commanders to wonder if they were next for the proverbial bayonet in the back. But that ain’t gonna happen, because the truth is clear to all here whose opinions matter. The f**kin’ ukrops did it. They tried twice before, and failed. This time, they sent in the A-team. and finally got the job done. But rather than sow suspicion and discord, they have brought us all closer together to face the real and common enemy.
The suspicions of an “inside job” are not only unfounded, they are dangerous. There was no reason for anyone in DPR or RF to want Motorola dead, and every reason for the Kiev nazis to. The nazis, just like with MH-17, had motive, means and opportunity. Motorola trusted his leaders and comrades. His actions and subsequent events prove it. No serious person here thinks it was any one other than ukrop diversants who killed him this time, and tried twice before, And that includes me. Discord among comrades sticks a knife in the back of the whole DPR, Novorussia and the RF. We need unity now, as much as we did during the darkest days of the war, because darker days may soon be upon us. I respect The Saker, Shary and Southfront, and I am surprised they put forth these speculations without any evidence. If there is any proof Motorola had problems with comrades here, let’s see it. But I don’t see any, and I live in Donetsk, and have friends here who are privy to things not usually made public. There have been some disturbing, and maybe even suspicious, killings of Novorussian Commanders, but they have ALL been in the LPR, not here. And while I don’t have an opinion on Plotnitsky or the workings of the LPR (because I simply don’t know, and admit it) I DO know the DNR is not the LPR. Zaharchenko is not Plotnitsky, and he enjoys well-deserved popular support here, and has no good reason to risk losing it all by killing one of his best friends and comrades. He is no fool, and knows his fate will be the same as the DNR’s. For him to attack Motorola would be an attack on the whole DNR and on himself. Think about it. The ukrop and US nazis had every reason to want Motorola killed. The administration here (and close by) had every reason not to, and one of the most important ones being that his death would cause these exact unfounded rumors and suspicions. To all who speculate without evidence, I say your speculations are foolish and dangerous. If you have evidence, let’s see it. Put up, or shut up.
Hi Texas,
Thanks for your post. I will begin by addressing the last point: To all who speculate without evidence, I say your speculations are foolish and dangerous. If you have evidence, let’s see it. Put up, or shut up.
First, you are in no position to tell me, or anybody else, what to do. So cool it. okay?
Second, if we ask the tough questions (“speculate”) it is because we care for Novorussia, the Donbass, the DNR and Motorola. You also do. But you have no monopoly on that. You might want to consider that we are very much on your side.
Third, if you had read what I wrote more carefully, you would realize that I did not make any accusations or point any fingers, least of all at Zakharchenko.
Fourth, if the building was, as you say, Babushka security, then you just prove my point: either the Novorussians are incompetent or the Russians, or both.
Fifth, when you say “The suspicions of an “inside job” are not only unfounded, they are dangerous.” I reply – they are sure less dangerous than NOT asking the right questions as the latter got how many Novorussian leaders killed, four? five? As long as people like Mozgovoi and Motorola are getting killed, it is reckless and irresponsible NOT to ask the right questions, the main ones being: why? how?
So instead of lashing out at us, why don’t you try to find out why the hell people like Motorola and others were such easy targets and try to take emergency corrective action? What would it take for you to admit that there is a problem, a MAJOR, problem here? Givi? Zakharchenko?
Look, we (Shariy, SF or myself) are not the enemy here. The enemy is the one who made it all possible. Personally, I lay the blame right on the Russian, not Novorussian, security forces first and foremost. Maybe I am wrong. But that does not make me your enemy, okay?
Kind regards and good luck,
The Saker
This is an extremely audacious commentary by Russell ‘Texas’ Bentley, I am assuming that this is the authentic Texas of Sut Vremeni, fighting in DNR? I’m not going to get into a long polemic, just to add my own brief point of view. First of all, no one has the right to tell others what they can or can not discuss, if this is what a freedom & justice fighter’s idea of freedom & justice is, then we are in serious trouble. Second, the motive for an inside job? You must be kidding. I mean, you really must be kidding. There is not only one motive, there are about a million. I stated in my own first comment that the 5th/6th column in Russia, has a vested interest in sabotaging vital Russian national interests. People from Putin’s own inner circle, as well as others close to him have warned of traitors at the very heart of the Kremlin establishment. The concept of a ‘sixth column’ arose from this knowledge, that there are Kremlin insiders working against their own side & that they represent the single most dangerous threat to the restoration of Russia as a truly sovereign & independent nation. I find Texas’ comment absolutely nonsensical & quite outrageous – & I repeat, if this is the authentic Texas speaking (& not an imposter), then this is really disappointing as well. I mean was it dangerous of Putin to reprimand Russia’s security services following Nemtsov’s murder? Here was Putin suggesting himself that the security apparatus was either not doing its job properly or was compromised in some way. What happened to Motorola can not not but raise questions among thinking people, & to have someone who normally I would consider to be on the same side issue a reprimand – I mean give me a break. If this is not some imposter trolling then it is a disgrace.

Russel “Texac” Bentley, in Donetsk knows who killed Motorola but he isn’t telling the truth …

I agree with you and can feel in my very being that Motorolas comrades locally would know if there was anything untoward going on within. To my mind this smacks of mercenary private contractors from the US or one of the vassals teaching the dark arts to hand picked Ukies.
They’ll never be the man that Motorola was. Let’s see what wednesday in Berlin brings but i wouldn’t hold my breath.

Texas,
I think most folks who say “something doesn’t add up” are not saying it was an inside job, but mystified at what is going on. If he was a great commander and important figure, why wasn’t he living on a base? The existence of the Donbass republics is an important matter for Moscow – what are they doing to ensure it runs smoothly? And smoothly includes having good security. If Moscow is letting everything there be Babushka level, well, then it is probably time to give up. They can do better when they want to, so what is the problem now?
In addition, there is the serious question of gangsterism. Is it possible that bribes led to various deaths in the rebel areas? That, too, would be a terrible thing. It is Moscow’s responsibility to prevent that, especially as the world situation is so tense, and Moscow could be fighting is several locations at the same time. If Kiev or DC has moles in high places in the Donbass, it is bad news.
Comrade Russell “Texas” Bentley, thank you very much for your post. I posted mine in the previous page, under Uncle Bob’s analysis, which seemed to me the most accurate, although I added another possibilities.
When we started talking about the assassination of comrade Motorola, before this thread was open, I also commented that I could not understand if it was known that NATO mercenaries were arriving in the front line, as was published a week ago, at least in Fort Russ, article that I myself linked here, why is that they were allowed even to arrive there and were not “neutralized”in the way or first steps. After all, we know already that this is now an all out war.
I want to think that this is what The Saker wanted to mean blaming the Russians but I have also explained in my comment that the Russians may have not all the intelligence they would like in the Ukraine since they are right now without even ambassador there. And besides, as I was reading today in an article in Tass, I think that in words of a whole security is impossible to achieve even in own territory

So, I think The Saker has been a bit hard with the Russians taking into account what they are facing right now in Syria and with the US administration in its duty of demonization and blaming in full and foolish display because of its damned elections. I considered the timing the worst to aid in blaming who suppossedly are our allies and for whom we fight in this blog. Then they have come all the Putin blamers of allways to whom have added even some regulars some of whom almost never talk a word about politics to my astonishment, as if they had understood that the criticism expressed by The Saker had open the hunter time.
I also agree with you in that spreading rumours about differences amongst DNR leaders harms the fight there and contribute to demoralize and confuse people there and so, perhaps we must be careful in expressing certain oppinions moreover in a time when all indicates that the offensive is ready to resume from the junta side.
Obviously who better know the situation there are those of you who are in the very front line or near in the rear and live with each other since already three long and sad years where we were losing pend it’s will not me who discuss this facts

so beloved as Comrade Mozgovoi and now dear Motorola, maybe rest in peace, and so, it’s will not me who discuss this facts from where I am, which compared to where The Saker is, I am even middle way from you.
I congratulate you and thank you a lot for the work you are doing for Donbass people. You, comrades, are making history in the right side, and this effort you have made and are making and how you will rise against the fascist beast will be remembered by generations to come as they were the heroic doings by the courageous comrades from the Red Army.
Some of us we do not forget of anybody, I can remember as if it had happened yesterday the beautiful face of Inna, one of the first crimes of war against civilians, amongst so many, all the children fallen and those who stayed unabled as well as their parents, as that wonderful woman you were so kind to visit in the hospital and support, the comrades burned in Odessa and our admired and loved militia commanders,
all remain forever in our hearts and our
minds and I only ask that my memory last me to my last years of life for this to be told.
PS: With your comment you have made my day, comrade, as I am with a dolence in the spin, after reading your post I went to walk a bit and felt a wellness I had not felt since two weeks already, and also a great relief for having dissipated some remaining doubts about one issue who
took me some troubles time ago.
You know, the sunset has been spectacular, it was a bit cloudy but softly in rose to purple red. I thought that Comrade Motorola was smiling with his unforgetable smile…..
A big hug for you and, if you have the opportunity, to the widow and children , I would wish hug them myself, as well as Mozgovoi’s family. I hope they are fine and doing well. Please, take care of yourselves, you, Givi and the other guys, do not drink too much and keep alert.
Good luck, all the best, God bless you.

“Texas” is using a straw man argument–Saker did not accuse DPR of anything– but his points are well taken especially his admission “I know nothing about the LPR.”..
I daresay, Motorola, knew a heck of a lot and more since he had a sticky situation to deal with when he was sent up there over a month ago. Is it too much to wonder ( or is this treasonous?) that perhaps he had to majorly kick A and take Names since he had a reputation of being that kind of guy and is it too much to figure that subsequent deep resentment might have been created?
Just know this: in Latin America and I see no reason that it be any different in any other part of the globe, the CIA and local mobs/mafia often times work hand in glove, they share information, and they scratch each other’s back.
That said: yes, none of us know much about the situation on the ground in the LPR.
Indiscipline in war ( not Motorola) can be as deadly as naivete ( not Motorola) or lack of creative thinking ( not Motorola). Careless accusations are a form of demonisation and cut across solidarity/unity.
We in the belly of a treacherous beast have to sift and winnow everyday every thing that is told to us so that we can bear credible witness to skeptical neighbors, friends, relatives. I appreciate and admire those on the front lines of any battle who risk their very lives, but just know that perhaps some of the differences in the way we approach dealing with an event are due to our battlefront being an infowar one. Nothing here is how it first is presented.
Know this also: our love and support and concern are with you all. Venceremos.
After reading the Saker’s comments, my mind went back to the many assassinations committed against leaders of Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iranian nuclear engineers that have occurred in the post 9-11 world. And, there was the prime minister of Lebanon! Targeted assassinations is a primary tactic used by the Americans and Israelis. There have been a several assassinations/improbable suicides/accidents of politically-sensitive journalists, politicians, and witnesses in the United States and Europe as well.
I think that the Saker dismisses the idea that foreign interests are behind the assassination of Motorola too quickly.
There is no shortage of native Russian speakers in Israel. And, there is a significant presence of Israeli military, commercial, and intelligence assets operating in Ukraine.
About 10 years ago, a family friend who was (is?) working for the FBI told me that the activities of the Russian mafia (as she called it) were a greater threat to American security than Islamic terrorism was (at least at that time). It is easy to imagine that the U.S. counterintelligence agencies could have recruited these criminal types to turn their attention toward eliminating adversaries like Motorola, or foils like Nemtsov.
This is what my friend Russell “Texas” Bentley wrote on his Facebook page, which I think you should read, Saker:
WHO KILLED MOTOROLA, AND WHY? I’LL TELL YOU.

The worst.
Does anyone see a connection between this assassination and the increased military activity by the UAF along the contact line? The suggestion that this was a Mossad operation to me seems a bit of a stretch based on the Khazaria program.
There is another aspect though that is very much in line with Israeli operations. That is, the targeted assassination of a military or political leader to provoke a military response then leading to a major Israeli operation in retaliation.
For example, the targeted assassination of Abu Ibrahim in 2012 and later Ahmed Jabari also in 2012 prior to Operation Pillar of Defense both led to IDF operations against Gaza. Similar provoke/respond procedures were used to initiate the 2006 Lebanon war. Still, this isn’t really Israel’s war so I don’t really see it as a Mossad operation per se.
As far as who is actually responsible, I don’t know. But whoever is paying for all those mercenaries along the contact line should be able to hire assassins.
Maybe I am gullible, but I think those most likely responsible for the murder of this progressive hero are either the Nazi Kiev Ukrainians or terrorists hired by them. I certainly can’t rule out that they received invaluable assistance from their western overlords in this hideous endeavor.
Of one thing I am certain one or many Khazarians is/ are involved up to their eyeballs.
As someone said once: ” ((( ))) belong to an entire level of wrong”
Hi, I’d like to point out that Israel effectively runs the USA , the USA effectively runs Ukraine so it’s hardly a stretch of the imagination to associate a professional assassination to Mossad on behalf of their greater Israel useing the USA as a tool who use the Ukraine as a a tool. Look beyond the veil. RIP Motorola and blessings on his family. A warrior joins his comrades in Valhalla. A man to be proud of .
Well I would definitely bet for CIA-SAD/SOCOM/USAISA/MI6/SAS/SBS/Mossad/IDF/etc.etc.etc
because the Ukrainan coup and contiunuation disarmament of eastern part militia was preplanned year ahead so they could install operatives in region in advance.
Only the disarmament process was blocked by Russians and eastern militia.
Are you aware murder of Motorola is the only great event of breaking Minsk agreements which Ukraine officially and publicly admitted? Hatred was stronger than reason. So Minsk is officially and publicly dead (thanks to Ukraine!) not only for terrorized people of fire line regions. Now are all staring at Aleppo but what should take place after its liberation? Will be Aleppo sitting under terroristic shelling like Novorossian cities? I don’t think so. Russia had to push on to keep strategic initiative. Why should she hunt defeated and decimated terrorists in Idlib and Raqqa while there are thousands of them neatly at hand at Novorossia and Kherson… Occupation of Ukraine is indeed stupid but liquidation of this vermin (include Western mercenaries and consultants) is 100% need. Kutuzuv taught Russians that “Ultimate goal of a war is destruction of enemy army, not keeping of cities and fortresses”. Operation “Motorola’s revenge” would be nice X-Mass gift for all his Ukie “fans”. So I believe Motorola was rather sacrificed than murdered by top Russian command. Maybe, even he was the heroic person who clicked the button.
I helped to translate a PolitRing discussion about a year ago. It was between Strelkov and Starikov.
Starikov berated Strelkov for wanting to advance on Mariupol, Odessa, Kharkov and Kiev.
Starikov’s objection was that it takes lots of troops to hold cities and that Strelkov at the time did not have enough of them.
If only Strelkov had quoted Kutuzov. His answer was passionate and good but Kutuzov’s words would have carried the day.
Growing up we had a family friend named Miroslav, he was an immigrant from Yugoslavia, a very intelligent Architect or Engineer who worked with my father in the Architect/Engineering field. I have no idea which Republic he was from, Serbia, Croatia, ? Don’t remember his last name, maybe his first name of Miroslav might give a clue to his native Republic? He often went by the Anglicized “Mike” among many of his American acquaintances.
What definitelly gives a clue is the sense of their comments.
We have above an unknown new commenter with another slavic? name “Vor” directly doubting of the authenticity of this post as of one of comrade “Texas” when we have the long data known commenter here “Vierotchka” confirming that the post is from “Texas” her friend….
These commenters have appeared very recently here…Well, “Byzantines” just smelled the blood or was timelly called by his associates.
And this has nothing to do with the usual chorus of sycophants who, be it what opinion The Saker could has, never dare to contradice him or discuss him nor in the minimal detail, and as always have been in this blog, form a core easily recognizable by any regular reader.
Fortunatelly, still few of the oldest still remaining here, on guard, to observe a phenonema like this of today.
I am shocked and sorrowful to hear this news.
By all reports at this blog, Motorola was an effective military man and also a decent person.
Terrible news for Novorossiya. And for the world, as the Saker points out.
Ukraine has been eclipsed by Syria lately, but of course it is a prime locus of agitating and sabotaging, false flags—everything in the warmongers’ playbook. Terrifying.

To some eyes it seems quite obvious and perfectly clear that the nazis did the murder. It is equally clear that the non nazi republics are involved in a theater of w3, and that the resolution of their conflict cannot occur except in the context and process of the whole sordid and brutal war, the world war, now ongoing. The idea that the state of Israel cannot adhere to a genre well within the nazi genre is risible – as many victims have done, they have become like their own past adversaries…a cruel irony, especially ruinous to Jewish moral quality – and the proof patent is to be seen in both the company that state keeps and in their own acts. Of course the Ukrainian nazis are closer to the “true center” of the nazi arena…but please (!) credit to those that have earned it! I know for fact that there is zero correlation between Judaism and the present-day so-called “Jewish State. Study the religion and you too will see this terrible fact. And the history says this – “the bride is beautiful” the rabbis telegraphed home in the 1800’s from Palestine. “But”, they said, “She is already married.” The ethical canon does not permit theft…ergo the State cannot be Jewish and also pursue a policy of theft, or any criminal policy. Einstein and others were correct when they repudiated zionism because it was not Jewish. Period.
To some eyes the war, W3, while not won, seems to favor the victory of morality over cruel rapacious capital finance and neo-colonial exploitation. Rather like the old nazi/soviet conflict in early ’42, the tide has, I suspect, turned, yet many miles remain of travail and misery.
So, the question arises, which nazi group did the murder? Why? Why now?
Look at the context…what nazi state overthrew the lawful government in Kiev? Well, that’s going to be the primary nazi state…care to name it?
Brother Comrade Texas, bless him and men like him, is, I think, right…the murder is strategic, it implies in context that a major and probably far more general conflict is in the offing – and considering the so-called election affair in murka, probably well before Nov 8…
‘Course their lordships may change their minds… Don’t count on it. They’re amateurs, freaks, delusional. and terrified of themselves – in a single word – Nuts. Or Desperate. Or Delusional.
Those whom the gods would destroy they first make mad.
The nazis, all the several types, the fodder units, the celestial rich types, all the nazis, are “mad”…it is therefore a time to work with the gods, so to speak. Not a time to go off in an uncoordinated way.
And not a time to pass and forget, not in the least.
Comrade Putin has made it quite clear that legal process awaits the criminals. all of them. Hunted down, wasted in the outhouse…
The entire moral basis for conflict lies in the pacific goal of restoring law and justice and equity. That’s the sole lawful reason to fight. It’s important, vital, to avoid emotional and reactive uncoordinated actions…
My envy and fraternal love to the heroic xpat Texas! He’s not so far from the men I know and with whom I have worked. What times! I hope we all get to see the peace together…
