The civilians of the LDNR are being evacuated from the towns near the LOC (line of contact).
The Ukies are bombing the LDNR with artillery and mortar fire along the full LOC.
The city of Gorlovka has lost power. The city is under tank fire. The only road between Donetsk and Gorlovka is under Ukronazi fire.
The cities of Dokuchaevsk, Staromikhailovka and Belaia Kamenka are under mortar attack.
It appears that the Ukronazis want to cut through the defenses between Lugansk and Donetsk.
That’s what I just caught myself.
Now I am, once again, creating an OPEN THREAD to share information about what is taking place. Please try to stick to factual information and not post your opinions.

Ukrainian government is clearly unable to become stable enough to bond to the EU/Europe, and it’s certainly not stable enough to become a NATO member. For all practical purposes it’s a dead zone for the US (and West). There is nothing here to be gained for the US/West other than use it as a continued story-line for “Russia bad” (taxpayers give us more money for the arms industry!) and the hope of it being a continued burden on Russia (not quite a quagmire as might have been hoped, but a burden nonetheless- but it’s been that way anyway for some time now).
This is about the only reason I can think of as to why Russia is appearing as being on the defensive: but, they’re clearing the firing lanes (getting civilians out of the way) for offensive measures (which WILL be successful).

I may be wrong, but I suspect this is a bluff. Zelensky certainly knows that if he invades Donbass, it will result in his own destruction. I think the US needs an excuse to say Russia invaded, and so they are bluffing an attack just enough to make Russia respond. A full invasion would be suicidal for Ukraine.

I am not sure yet that I’m fully with Dmitry’s reasoning on this one, but need to let it settle. What is still up front and center for me, is the speed with which things happened this morning.
Just about 4 hours ago, I reported the Kiev troops violation of the ceasefire as 29 times in past 24 hours and talked some about the reasoning for Minsk.
We always say the Russians are slow to the saddle but once they get on that horse, there is no stopping them. This is 4 hours later and we have a full evacuation in effect, complete with photos of orphans and oldies being evacuated.
The sequence of events overview:
The evacuation decision must have been on the cards for time. It looks orderly, evacuation points clearly established and published, medical treatment points on the border, and within an hour of being announced by the leaders of both Republics, the car convoys and buses were on their way to the Rostov region and this will continue for possibly weeks.
Pekov announced that Donbass refugees who arrive to the Rostov region will be provided with hot meals and other necessities, including medical attention, and financial assistance. The president has also dispatched the acting emergencies minister to the Rostov region in order to organize the creation of facilities to accommodate the refugees.
This was finely planned.
DPR and LPR leadership have refused Kiev’s offer to hold an extra session of the Trilateral Contact Group: Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE

And in the US, suddenly their whole daily planning changed. Biden was going to talk to some people and say something (cannot remember the detailed nonsense) and suddenly he will “provide an update on Russia-Ukraine situation at 21:00 GMT”
The strategic issues .. I must tell you I don’t know and still sitting in a daze at how quickly things happened.
The last real news that I have, is this: Kiev could start a full-scale offensive at any moment, the situation is critical – Pushilin added that the region’s critical infrastructure is being guarded in case of potential terror attacks.

If you look closer into the timeline of the pictures taken at the kindergarden you can see that at first the window next to the hole in the wall was still intact, a few hours later it was shattered but stil in the frame..
Anyways if a shell actually penetrated this wall those windows would be gone and there would be clear scorches/burnmarks all over so this looks like a setup/false flag by people who are not even aware of these basic balistic facts and thus very amateuristic.. or am i mistaking?

Information has it that the orcs are going to try for Debalsyevo again to cut Novorossiya in two. Obviously their memories are lacking, last time they tried that the orcs and their golden pheasants got their butts waxed big time.
Fighting is intense at times along the entire lines of Novorossiya. So far NAF are holding out well. Evacuations of Donetsk City Proper and Gorlovka have started. I do not know how thick the convoys are at this time.
Our friends have refused to evacuate but will go if specifically ordered to do so. We have offered succor for them with us.

According to (evil) google maps the distance between Donetsk, Ukraine and Donetsk, Russia is 230km via highway, current ETA ~4.5 hours. Distance between Luhansk, Ukraine and Donetsk, Russia is only 73km; current ETA ~1.5 hours.

Sometimes there comes a time when we take up arms to defend our communities, but I admire Russia for its restraint in making that the last resort. How is it people don’t know the generational damage war does?
I’m thinking of my dad’s experience as a field ambulance medic in New Guinea in WW2. Like many who returned home he never recovered from not so much a hatred, but more a visceral horror of the Japanese. When I was born seven years later he was just out of hospital after surgery as a result of his service.
That generation just wanted a normal life at any cost. The price was my generation felt stifled and instead of pursuing forgiveness, peace and healing chose rebellion and the whole hippy madness happened. We are still seeing everything that makes us human being assaulted by that lot.
As for the Crimea, I feel strongly that the words of St. Julian of Norwich apply:

So far I have considered the Russian invasion stories a hoax. Now I believe the war will start on Monday. Donetsk and Lugansk have started evacuating civilians to Russia.
The Russian attack or counter attack, if it comes will encircle Kharkov. Maybe the aim is Poltava and the Dnieper. Russia has concentrated a large number of tanks and tracked artillery on the border opposite Kharkov. The tanks are offloaded from trains at the railway station in Tomarovka, a small town northwest of Belgorod and some 27 km from the border.
I have seen videos of almost a 100 tanks coming from the railway station and turning west on the road to Poltava. This latest batch has 28 T-80s.

Roger, the War Measures Act of which you speak was repealed in 1988 and replaced with the current Emergencies Act. It’s basically the same tool with some modifications. You note that the Provincial Premiers had all the authority needed to “end the fiasco”. Yet the Act itself states it can only be called when there are no other means of dealing with a situation. Therefore PMJT and his Deputy PM have acted outside their authority. The Act also stipulates that people’s constitutional rights and freedoms cannot be suspended, yet this is clearly being done. As for PMJT exercising “patience and forbearance” … No, the proper response would have been to sit down and talk to these citizens who travelled to Ottawa with valid and pressing complaints to peacefully petition their government. They need to be heard. For Trudeau’s government to respond by calling Emergency Measures is every bit as shameful and counterproductive as the Kiev authorities’ refusal to hold talks with the citizens of the breakaway republics of the Donbass.

Listening to @abcnews broadcast tonight the situation in the LDNR is being reported as: an emergency evacuation of civilians, and the explosion of a car bomb, are being staged in order to provide a justification for a pre-planned Russian invasion. Russian forces near the border already have logistics and medical supply in place for an assault.
