One pertinent observation made here was that whereas the anti-EU forces of the continental Populist Right are pro-Russian, this does not apply to Britain (Sweden neither BTW; forget about the fantasies put forward by Liz). It is precisely for this reason that the stooges of Brussels and Washington in Britain will put utmost emphasis on Bogeyman Putin masterminding Brexit, thereby possibly killing the process entirely.
It was also pointed out that Brexit is a most unwelcome development in the eyes of the Russophobic trash of Eastern Europe. Sure, EU will be offering ‘benign protection’ 24/7 altruistically provided for them by big and strong German imperialism, but to these honorary Europeans, it is Anglo-American imperialism which really counts. This is yet another reason for the Zionazis to attribute Brexit to Putin’s devious plotting. Some people are very happy — and very ready — to believe in it.
To summarise the broadcast: For all Peter Lavelle’s shouting and impatience, the guests were able to make very valid points on the subject matter. It would have been really great had someone mentioned Big Finance and the corporatocracy as the real rulers of the European Union with a bunch of despicable figureheads as their political/ideological servants.
Anybody who says Brexit was due to Putin is either a liar, or doesn’t know what they are talking about.
I’ve been watching closely what has been happening here politically in London for decades, and there were many reasons for Brexit, and Putin’s influence – if any – would be below 1%.
Many people were fed up with the uncontrolled and deliberate failure of camoron the traitor and his lies about controlling immigration, his lies about Turkey’s accession to the EU and the related matter of that country causing a large part of the ‘refugee’ crisis, with ferkel’s help, of course.
The fact too, that even London now is less than 50% white British (although it is still over 50% white, when including Eastern Europeans etc).
There are, of course other good reasons, but that is what I wanted to emphasize.
Brexit was an unique opportunity for ordinary folks in the UK to stick their middle fingers in unison at the Corporate, Cosmopolitan, Criminal Elites in charge of the EU – and they seized that opportunity with gusto.
These criminals have long ceased to even pretend to care about what the ordinary man thinks. They have destroyed Unions and wages, they have imposed quotas and they have demande to have the last say on who and what can traverse national borders.
“Useless eaters”, is the term I believe they use to refer to the population.
The media which they own, and which only reflect their point of view, is deployed as a weapon of dis-information against ordinary folks. Lies are presented as facts and dissenters are ignored or villified.
Everything, including the kitchen sink was thrown out at those opting to leave and get their lives and country back:
The IMF chief said it would spell doom for the British economy,
Fed head Janet Yellen said it would setback the globsl economy,
Ex Pms Blair, Major and Brown waded in to paint a dark vision of the future if the ‘useless eaters’ voted to leave,
Obama jetted over to tell them that should they leave, the end of the queue would be their new place in the world, and the EU Council President Donald Tusk -the other Donald- not to be outdone by the previous scaremongers took it up a notch when he opined that a vote to leave could mean the end of Western Political Civilization!
Well, the “useless eaters” have rebelled. The global economy which only cater to the 1% be dammed! Anyways, why should fishing quotas for British fishermen be set in Brussels? And as for “Western Political Civilization”, if what is on offer now is what the future holds, then it too be dammed.!!!
One of the highlight’s of this show was the description of the EU bureaucrats as exceedingly mediocre – so so true and sums it all up in a nutshell. With that level of people – what else can you expect?
The sniveilling back stabbing Hilary Benn has finally been sacked by Jeremy Corbyn and all the Blairite MP’s in the shadow cabinet are now putting it out there they are “going to resign” – good bye to them all – all aided and abetted by the BBC and MSM……..
Well it looks like they will lose – over 140,000 signatures already by Labour supporters backing Corbyn and telling the Blairite/Browites to stop this campaign. This Brexit is really bringing out the worst in some “remain” people……..
Great show. I agree with the thinking of the guests here. But that brings up a “very important” point. Why is it that this show and a few others show the Russian viewpoint. But so much of RT “doesn’t” do that. When I go to RT,a Russian government backed news station. I “want to see” the Russian viewpoint. Which I believe was the entire point of creating RT in the first place. If I want to read the West’s position I have the choice of countless MSM sites. And yet there is a huge schism clearly visible on RT.Many of the articles you see could have been from The Guardian or the NYT. There are several today alone. Is there a lack of control at RT. Do they have too many 5th columnists and Westerners working for them that aren’t pro-Russian. I don’t know ,but it certainly appears that is the case. Certainly they should report fairly,I don’t argue for censorship. And they should report “both sides” of an issue equally. But at present many of their stories lean towards the Western side. Ignoring any other (even Russia’s). They also have lately a large number of stories showing Russia in a bad light on their site.I’m certainly strongly beginning to question the loyalty of the management team at RT. They need to be aware of what’s happening to their channel. And the Russian government needs to be aware of it. RT “should” be a way for Westerners to see the Russian viewpoint. Not just another MSM news site.
I completely agree with you.
They mimic the Western MSM to the point of disgust. When they just got started there was at least a measurable effort to try and give the Russian perespective. As time when by however, this effort was gradually reduced and in recent times it has essentially stopped.
Gayane Chichakyan still do a great job showing up the liars at the State Department, but in general I dont think they are fulfilling their mandate – assuming of course it is to give the Russian perspective to a global audience.
I think the problem is management i.e. editorial. They have seemingly brought in a lot of Westerners and some have come on board with the objective of undermining the mission and blurring the message from within.
They need to grasp this fact and set about purging these people.
Remember what happened at the start of hostilities in Ukraine?
There was this RT anchor -I forget her name because I deem her unimportant- who quit on air, as part of a premeditated plan to smear the Kremlin and RT.
It failed of course, but instead of cleaning house then, I believe they have allowed in more suspect persons and these persons have been quietly working to compromise RT’s coverage.
“There was this RT anchor – I forget her name because I deem her unimportant – who quit on air, as part of a premeditated plan to smear the Kremlin and RT [..]”
Oh! I remember that unsavory episode myself too, Jaro.

How Cold War-Hungry Neocons Stage Managed RT Anchor Liz Wahl’s Resignation – [Posted on Mar 19, 2014]
The problem is ideological. Class consciousness is eschewed both in Russia and the West now. LIke Putin said we do not have ideological differences. That is to bad, the theoretical should be congruent with reality or what good is it, should also inform practice. And vice versa.
RR
I’m so glad to see that Putin’s idea of sovereign nations is catching on. Russia is becoming the beacon on the top of the hill. The more Putin is demonized, the more angelic he appears to those who can see the light. Let the idiots go on blaming because they will get what they give.
One problem I see with our “euphoria” over Brexit is that its not a fact yet. What should have happened was the old pro-remain regime to have resigned and been immediately replaced by a pro-leave government. But that didn’t happen. And so the same anti-leave leaders are now “somehow supposed” to lead the Brexit. I don’t see them doing anything to quicken the move. But instead to stall it for as long as possible while they try to figure a plan to stop it. Besides those parties that were 100% for “leave” there were some members of them all that supported the “leave” movement. So its not a question of the inability to replace the current pro-remain leaders with people from within their own parties. Its a question of “the job not finished”. And of leaving the “fox in the henhouse” and expecting him not to eat them.
I would like once again to thank Saker and crew for presenting the crosstalk shows on this forum. Whatever you do in transferring them here, it is something my computer can adapt to, whereas at rt.com the problems for me are insurmountable. So as Peter Lavelle sometimes says, “I very much appreciate it.”
Following the result on Friday morning, and the UK Column’s coverage of that result on the lunchtime news, we came under a certain amount of criticism.
“I was happy about the result until I saw your programme and now I’m really down”, was one comment, and “you’re a bunch of fearmongers” another.
We are not “fearmongers”. We can’t live our lives in a dream, hoping that what we see around us is one thing, when in fact its another. We must be willing to face reality and act accordingly, without fear.
Friday’s result has changed nothing, and it has changed everything. It offers us a chance to see the battlefield with clarity, but only if we choose to see it.
Here’s the nothing: We are still in!
We have not left, we are not going to leave. Article 50 has not been invoked. Even if it is at some point in the future, what will the political environment be at the end of the Article 50 process, at best two years later? How many MPs will respect the vote of a non-binding referendum which took place at least two years previously?
And here’s the everything: as we said several times on the news programme leading up to the referendum, the referendum has been used to change the political landscape completely. Cameron has resigned, Boris is a likely shoe-in, Corbyn is in crisis. Whatever emerges from this mess is not going to be pleasant: with Corbyn out of the way, the “left” is likely to be back on a war footing.
One thing is absolutely clear, though. Any notion of a divided Tory party is no more than a PR narrative, inflamed by the media. There is no real division there, and they will unite behind their new leader.
In the meantime, politicians and the media are stoking up as much anger and division as possible amongst the general population. The aim: to generate as much noise as possible while under the surface the policy agenda continues.
Remember: this referendum was never a simple “in/out” decision, because the “in” decision was based on Cameron’s famous “renegotiation”. Yet the terms of the renegotiation were not discussed during the course of the campaign, by either side, nor by any media outlet except the UK Column.
So let’s end with a couple of questions as examples. Should Article 50 be invoked at some point after the new Prime Minister is selected, will negotiations on TTIP stop on that day? Will EU military integration stop on that day? If the answer to these questions is “no” as we believe it to be, or if government refuses to say either way, then everything we are experiencing is a lie, and the #EUReferendumPsyop continues.
yes GB is still in and may be for at least two years to come. If we take into account foot dragging and possibly an election with an offer of a mandate to remain in the UE then nothing will really change. The disenfranchised will have to store their pitchforks back in the cupboard and suck it up and join the program. It was good for about five minutes. Oh well.
Camerons phrase was let this referendum to be a decision by the british people….ie democratic vote and only that..anything else is betrayal by politicians and agitators from across the political spectrum which only proves the point that the 6% majority does not want these kind of people at all, they want back to the roots of everyday life being sensible, workable and achievable. For very many life can be a serious struggle, its has got to work from the bottom up not top down from a remote elite whether in uk or eu.Hence Corbyn could survive being connected to his grass roots mandate and calling bluf on the ex Blair tag alongs. Alex $almond is astute when says “cons” instinct for their part to survive no matter what will try to hold them together but I wonder if behind the scenes the diversion of having to find a new pm will not cover up any potential splits of cons who want to go back to uk basics or who still want to play a subservient role to puppetmasters usa……but the fall could continue re ttip grind to a halt, eu with regard to referendums and nato get stuck in mind providing a vacuum for more motivating charismatic eu politicians and southern eu countriesvto have a stronger and more efdective voice v statements eg it people like Junkers that people are more openly saying are the bain and dault of eu dailing people….anyone else we can associate with that thinking, eg Merkel, Mogherini, an out of date Tusk?????
The EU is a tool of American foreign policy. Europe is down just where the US wants them. Minsk will tell the tell about what we can expect in the future from Europe along with the Raphallo Agreement. So many in the US Trump camp are congratulating Brits on getting free from EU Perhaps it is to get free from America. Or perhaps it is to get closer. Another outstanding occurrence. Israel, Syria Iran applied for SCO membership. Maybe this means Peace in the Middle East. There was no doubt a democratic impulse behind all of this but as far as the inter-imperialist rivalries and which way the wind blows. Only time will tell. Soros made a good buck off it I understand. But again, he is not as big a fish as most people make him to be. Most wealth is not even in circulation it is being held back and in shadow banking, off-shore. Trillions. And the managers of their affairs, the Nation States are failing miserably. Western Politicians I am speaking of here mainly. Team Russia China have pulled some more diplomatic coups the past week. Let’s hope they product the hoped for results.

New bullhorns brexit on rt today fairly sharp observations especially from Mark Sleboda
