As I have mentioned recently, the situation in NATO occupied Kosovo is quickly deteriorating (see here and here). NATO’s humiliation in the Ukraine is pushing NATO leaders to try to prove their “martial valor” and “manhood” by, quote, “every now and again the United States has to pick up a crappy little country and throw it against a wall just to prove we are serious“ (Michael Ledeen). And, again, the AngloZionists want to attack an Orthodox country to “show Russia” what could happen to her next (Strobe Talbott).
NATO also must feel that time (and even ammo stocks!) is running out: right now Russia cannot help Serbia in any other way than to express Russia’s political support. Furthermore, geography can be a curse and Serbia is deep inside NATO territory, surrounded on all sides by enemies which have the means to prevent Russia from offering any other forms of support besides words.
Serbia herself could easily deal with the KLA terrorists, but that would almost certainly trigger a NATO retaliatory attack and, objectively, Serbia does not have the capabilities to take on NATO. The folks at Mons know that, and so they provoke as much as they can while they still can.
[Sidebar: once the NATO defeat in the Ukraine becomes impossible to obfuscate or deny, then NATO will basically have to run, just like it did in Kabul. Once that happens, Kosovo (and the RS in Bosnia) will be liberated.]
There are many parallels between the situation in the Ukraine and the situation in Kosovo, the main one being that in both cases the West was trying to buy time to prepare for war (which they successfully executed against the UN “protected areas” in Croatia). The recent admission by Merkel that the sole point of the Minsk Agreement was to give time to prepare the Ukraine for war (they somehow managed to overlook that Russia would use the same time to ALSO prepare for war) has now confirmed the following conceptual plan:
- Begin by pretending to want to broker some semi-reasonable deal which, while not perfect, would preserve peace and give time to negotiate (they did that with the Palestinians, the Serbs, the Russians and many others!).
- Then break the terms of this deal over and over again and dare the other side to “do something about it”.
- If the other sides does nothing, keep on provoking until the entire deal is clearly dead, then let your proxy attack in “retaliation” against some putative “violation” by the other side. And if your proxy is weak and mostly apt at murdering civilians, give them the full NATO support (which in Kosovo became the “KLA airforce”).
- If the other side does preempt your attack, accuse it of breaking the terms of the deal and attack it in “retaliation”.
- Mantrically repeat that “Country X” (Kosovo or Israel, same difference) has the “right” to “defend” itself from “attacks” but never recognize that same right for the other side.
In the case of Serbia this is all made much worse by the “multi-vector” policies of the Vucic government which, on one hand, seeks EU membership and support and, on the other, has to deal with an outraged public opinion. Truth be told, Serbia’s economy is entirely dependent on her neighbors so any perceived “excess patriotism” (no matter how minimal and even lame) could result in even more devastating sanctions from a united West hell-bent on breaking every and any sovereign country out there.
Even worse is the fact that the EU/NATO are both party to the conflict AND the judge and jury which has the right to impose anything or ignore any complaints.
We now see the strange spectacle of Vucic asking KFOR (the NATO force in Kosovo) for the “permission to exercise a right” (?) granted to it by UNSC Resolution 1244 which allows Serbia to send 1000 police/security forces into Kosovo. By asking rather than informing KFOR, Vucic is trying as hard to inspire KFOR authorities to act with a modicum of decency. I very much doubt that this will work.
And even the fact that Vucic made that request after the Albanians sent in 1000 of their own forces into the Serbian enclave in Kosovo won’t help Vucic in any way: the West has shown its truly amazing ability to be selectively blind not only during the US/NATO/EU war against the Serbian nation in 1990s, but even as late as the “selectively blind” “human rights” “monitors” and other “observers” in the LDNR or the “selectively blind” IAEA inspectors at the ZNPP.
[The parallels between Banderastan and “Kosovë” are numerous and striking, including the fact that in both cases these regimes are run by terrorists and thugs who make millions out of various financial schemes and even the traffic of body organs. Both entities are run by “our sons of bitches” and, therefore, get a pass on everything, ranging from basic human rights to major military provocations all, of course, in the name of democracy, pluralism and everything good under the sun. I suggest that the following might be an interesting rule of thumb: “show me your proxies and I will tell you who you are“. A Hegemony which federated, financed, trained and engaged al-Qaeda/ISIS will have no problem dealing with the thugs in power in Kiev or Pristina no matter what the latter do.]
One would be forgiven for thinking that UNSC Resolutions cannot be ignored but, in reality, they very much can (ask the Israelis!). If a UNSC member complains about a violation, you can always count on a UNSC veto by US/EU/NATO representatives.
Sadly, at the current moment Serbia simply cannot help the Serbian minority in Kosovo. Even if Vucic decided to reject the demands and decrees of the Empire, Serbia cannot do much more than verbally protest.
Considering the truly amazing ability of the people of Europe to be selectively blind we can rest assured that any Serbian protests will fall on deaf ears. The same Europeans who shed oceans of crocodile tears about the “bombing of Sarajevo” or, better, the “Srebrenica genocide” noticed absolutely *nothing* during the eight years in which the Ukronazis used their own armed forces (in direct violation of the Ukrainian Constitution) to murder, maim, kidnap, torture and even strike with ballistic missiles the civilians of the Donbass.
[Sidebar: I can’t prove it, but it is my strong belief that the main reason why the Europeans hate Russians and Serbs so much is because, unlike the Europeans, the Russians and Serbs never accepted to become slaves to any empire. On some, possibly subconscious level, the Europeans must feel that compared to the Russians and Serbs they look like pathetic, broken, slaves with no sense of pride or even identity. Simply put: Russians and Serbs make the rest of Europeans look like the “great supine protoplasmic invertebrate jellies” (to use BoJo’s very accurate description) which they all so much are.]
To expect the Europeans to show even a modicum of decency would be absolutely naive. They are too busy hating and freezing…
But time is running out for the Hegemony.
Once the NATO defeat in the Ukraine becomes undeniable, the organization will quickly become irrelevant and unable to agree on yet another military operation. As for the USA, having lost the “fig leaf” provided by NATO, they are unlikely to have what it takes to attack Serbia, not after having being comprehensively defeated in the Ukraine (the collapse of NATO will also trigger a major crisis inside the USA).
The problem for Serbia is that it will take time (many months, probably a few years) to fully defang NATO while not triggering a fullscale continental war in Europe. And, let’s be honest here, if the Russians can now take their sweet time “demilitarizing” Banderastan, the Serbian minority in Kosovo cannot.
So what can the Serbs do in this situation?
Doing nothing would only empower the KLA terrorists and their Western bosses and leave the long-suffering Serbian minority in Kosovo defenseless.
Move in forces, even if fully allowed by the UNSC Resolution, would risk triggering a major economic and military US/NATO/EU attack on Serbia.
Evacuate Serbian civilians from Kosovo? In theory that would be an option, but we have to understand that for the Serbian people Kosovo is truly sacred ground and that many would refuse to leave. Also, emptying Kosovo from its Serbian minority would only embolden the KLA and their patrons. Finally, when the Russians evacuated their civilians from Kherson it was at least credible that this was a temporary move and that the Russian military would be back, sooner rather than later. But in the case of Kosovo, Serbia is the weaker party and will remain so until:
- Serbia regains her sovereignty (right now Serbia is basically administered by the West, hence the threats from EU politicians like Baerbock)
- Reunites with historically Serbian lands in Montenegro, Bosnia and Kosovo
- The US/NATO/EU are demilitarized and denazified, at least in Europe.
This will all happen, the problem is *when*. I sure don’t know.
What I do know is that the Serbian nation has survived absolutely horrific and even overtly demonic persecutions by both the Ottomans, the Anglos and the Latins (Pavelic, like Bandera, Franco or Petain, was a pure product of the Papacy, unlike Hitler and Mussolini who were, respectively, a pagan and an atheist).
In their current situation, the Serbians might have to accept the very real possibility of setbacks which they will have to tolerate, even if only temporarily. The West has also very successfully divided the Serbian nation to better rule over it (what else is new?). The Serbians know that only unity can save Serbia, and they will seek that unity, even if that is extremely difficult in the current circumstances. But eventually, and inevitably, the Serbian nation will survive this deep crisis: we remember the promise of Christ that “but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved“.
Andrei
I would change Andrei´s titel to “Nato is trying to find a pretext to poke the bear”(again), knowing the Bear is busy with Ukrainse and can do nothing right now.
I think the Anglos are after the Russians, not the Serbs.
The Serbs will fight NATO transsexual military, all Russia needs to do is provide them with weapons!
Mister (Insult removed,MOD),
how are they going to achieve that. Serbia is surrounded by NATO countries.
I loved your comment from back in february,
“The world that started in 1492, ended in february 2022”
As I’ve read, watched & observed since VVP came to power, the bad guys get usurped every time & I believe it will happen again & again until they are no more.
Re Kosovo/Serbia maybe Russia will roll out such a show in the Ukraine that Kosovo will become a sideshow, ie Russia will take the gloves off & roll.
Bondsteel may just be a target one day.
Meant to say reply to Alejo
Which means you don’t really know what is happening, because if it missed your attention the extent to which NATO engaged the Serbs all through the 1990s, you would see how laughable your comment is.
I would say they are after both, they just started with the Serbs in ’91 and is still working on it.
With the prospects for an European wide war coming up, it would be of importance to prevent the possibility of a front coming out of the Balkans. I think the establishment of Camp Bondsteel was part of this thinking from an Empire point of view.
I am wondering how important the military base “Bondsteel” is in all this. Was the plan to build such a large base a motivator in the original conflict? I doubt that the Serbians would ever have agreed to construction of such a base on Serbian-controlled ground.
Here is an FYI that some may find interesting: I have friends around Europe, some of whom work in commercial airports. During the lockdowns, and continuing even now, entire (commercial) planeloads of US soldiers arrive almost daily. They often go from the airport to nearby military bases, but it is not clear where they go from there. By now, we are talking about many hundreds of planeloads, just that I heard about (from reliable, close friends). I have also seen a couple of plane loads of soldiers myself when passing through these airports. There are no reports of planeloads heading back to the US.
This is just a data point, and I have no way to evaluate its importance. It is interesting to note, however, that it has been continuing for a couple of years now.
> I am wondering how important the military base “Bondsteel” is in all this. Was the plan to build such a large base a motivator in the original conflict?
This question is touching a complex network of intertwined intentions and decisions. For example, the USA had an interest in breaking up Yugoslavia and they did what they could to see it broken up. The 1998/1999 War in Kosovo was part of the breakup of Yugoslavia. KLA was brought up by USA/NATO. None of this started in February 1999, it started much earlier. In 1980 at the latest.
Going back to your question, the official narrative by former Yugoslav/Serbian officials is that the strategic goal of USA/NATO was to transfer forces over the mountains into the depth of the Balkan peninsula. The officials never mention the massive coal reserves underneath northern Kosovo (where Serbs live), central Serbia and western Bosna (where Serbs live), but I personally believe it’s these coal reserves that are the main goal of US efforts. In addition to this, there are also reasonaby rich mineral deposits all around Serbia and all of Balkans. They (USA) want to either exploit these resources or prevent others (Europeans or Russians) from exploiting them or maybe even both. Camp Bondsteel is obviously *critical* in all of this.
The former Yugoslav/Serbian officials that speak publicly about these things here in Serbia further detail that the decision to put military forces into Bondsteel is the primary decision made independently. And the decision to support KLA and bomb Yugoslavia is a secondary decision proceeding from the primary decision. Support of KLA is means to an end. The end is military presence in the heart of Balkans.
Thank you for this detailed answer. We have Serbian friends (some of them struggling in Kosovo), so are sharing their concerns.
About the troop movements I mentioned above – I just read that the US claims around 100k troops in Europe (as of March this year). But the plane loads of incoming soldiers I know about amount already to around 50k, just from one airport. I find it hard to believe that the 100k total is correct.
++ For example, the U.S. had an interest in dissolving Yugoslavia, and it did what it could to dissolve it. The war in Kosovo in 1998/1999 was part of the disintegration of Yugoslavia. UÇK was raised by USA/NATO. None of this started in February 1999, it started much earlier. 1980 at the latest.++
If this is so, then the USA & not Germany would have taken the initiative in the collapse of Yugoslavia. There are plausible voices claiming that Germany, in cooperation with Russia (Gorbachev later Yeltsin), wanted to drive the US amis, who were heavily networked in Yugoslav military & intelligence services, out of the Balkans. The Germans would have been satisfied with an independent Croatia & Slovenia ( the Nazi heirs became more frugal) while the Russians would have been satisfied with the rump state Yugoslavia incl. Macedonia & Montenegro. But not the British & US Americans & so then the war in Bosnia was forced, the Carrington-Cutileiro peace plan buried.
Forget the fairy tales about the allegedly so valuable mineral resources it was about. Yugoslavia was always a geostrategically important region for USA & UK. For the preservation of their sick lust for power it was 100 times more valuable than all the mineral resources in the Balkans. Of course, various small fishes in the apparatus were fighting over it, but that is not superior US policy!
“Forget the fairy tales about the allegedly so valuable mineral resources it was about. Yugoslavia was always a geostrategically important region for USA & UK. ”
This is absolutely correct – the primary US interest in the ex-Yugoslavia & Balkans more generally is geostrategic, south eastern Europe is critically important for power/force projection into the Middle East & North Africa. The Balkans, historically was referred to in Anglo imperial discourse as the “Near East”, through the territory of contemporary Serbia & Macedonia lies the only viable land corridor linking western Europe with the Middle East – Germany had great ambitions of building an advance Berlin-Baghdad railway transport corridor which they would exclusively control for trade & logistics. Today, China has great interest in the region for the same reasons, not imperial dominance, but trade connectivity, & is very much allied to Serbia & as friendly to Serbia as any country China shows any friendly inclinations towards. Arguably, the Balkans, & the territory of ex-Yugo is some of the most vital geostrategic land in the world, alongside the Bab al-Mandeb straits, the Suez canal zone, the Persian Gulf etc. It is what Pepe Escobar would call a vital connectivity node on the planet. So this is what the US is there fore primarily, & naturally, the US wants to ring the place with military bases. For the US, the prize was & is Belgrade & its environs, gaining control of Kosovo was always just a precursor to gaining control of all of Serbia & setting up a Green Zone Baghdad like occupation zone. Joe Biden back in the later 90s openly talked about the US strategic interest of occupying Belgrade. It will never happen, but that is not to say the US will not attempt it, even now.
Do you have the impression that Germany is a sovereign nation ? Germany is the US/Empire. Nobody even fart there without getting the go ahead from Uncle Scam. To suggest agency, is laughable.
With the fall of the wall, all the well maintained Nazi networks sprung into action again. As seen all over Yugoslavia, all the former Nazi allies made a destructive comeback. Same thing all over Eastern Europe, ex-Soviet.
The primary reason for the destruction of Yugoslavia was that it was a bad example in the new world order. A fairly succesful multi-cultural socialist federation, with a higher standard of living than several western countries, including the UK.
It’s a very important data point. If you have the time, check out monkeywerxdotcom. He tracks flights daily. He has been pointing out the troop movements out of the US to the EU over the past month. There is no shortage of web chatter about the amount of armour the US has moved into place over the past eight months. Of course some say, like Russia, NATO is out of ammo. You don’t move thousands of pieces of equipment to a FOB and not have ammo.
If the US gives the Ukrainians, the means and how to strike deep inside Russia, it’s only a matter of time before a silo or strategic armed site is hit. There are no consequences for the US, well out of harm’s way, and the little barking Brit poodle can pee on pant legs all day long without any form of behaviour modification.
Cheers M
Thanks for the link about plane movements. I can also share (first hand) that US and/or NATO fighter jets are screaming overhead night and day at locations in Europe but quite far from Ukraine. Lately, they occasionally go supersonic, scaring the locals badly. The (training?) flights are not new, just the number of them, which are disturbingly increased.
Lucky for the Saker with his optimism. I see widespread war around one, or maybe just few more corners. Psychopaths are not known for being sensible.
“There are no consequences for the US, well out of harm’s way, and the little barking Brit poodle can pee on pant legs all day long without any form of behaviour modification.”
No consequences for the US! That’s the part I can not understand. IF the situation was reversed would the uS stand idly back & allow Russia & or others to supply weapons to a Country the uS was at War with ?
NO they would not! Russia hopefull will make astatement that any Country supplying weapons to Ukraine at this time will be subject to direct retaliation on their soil. What’s to lose ? Bully’s respect force.
If you know a wider conflict is coming, it is better to let them send as much as possible of their weapons and amunition to you for destruction. In the end they’ll be defenseless, and no longer a threath. The West is being de-militarized, the de-nazification comes later.
Arrive uniform…change into a suit?
Jeez all one would need was a ‘reason’ to expel or ‘cancel’ existing state personnel based on merit/history in the host country and replace them with loyalists based on nothing more than ‘appearance’ and some vague notion of historical correction…

Some 60,000 people now belong to this secret army, many working under masked identities and in low profile, all part of a broad program called “signature reduction.” The force, more than ten times the size of the clandestine elements of the CIA, carries out domestic and foreign assignments, both in military uniforms and under civilian cover, in real life and online, sometimes hiding in private businesses and consultancies, some of them household name companies.

I do know the plan to build Bondsteel was before the NATO bombing. In the middle of the NATO bombing, a man called into a talk show (hosted by Michael Dixon on KMOX) and started talking about the huge military base U.S. was going to build in Kosovo. He was a contractor and was going on about this major job for him and his company when Michael Dixon interrupted him with “You can’t do that, it’s a sovereign country!”. The guy would pause a bit and then continue on with more details of what was planned. Michael Dixon would again interject “But you can’t do that, it’s a sovereign country.” So it went on like that with each not really understanding each other: the contractor not knowing anything about the legalities of it (which didn’t make a difference to the U.S. anyway) while Michael Dixon thought the U.S. wouldn’t do something so illegal.
> Evacuate Serbian civilians from Kosovo?
This is surrender. There will be no surrender (Nema predaje!).
Me temo la guerra por medio del asesinato de un líder importante. Cualquiera puede ser el asesino, que muy bien pagado, encienda la chispa de la guerra.
A brit lieutenant general, robert magowan, admitted in the murdoch owned brit times newspaper that the royal marines had been used in ukraine in covert operations. These bloody idiots are not playing with fire, but radioactive fire. And that bloody sh!t stirrer fbj is still stirring up trouble in ukraine too.
I share most of the opinions of the introducer. I have a lot of concern because I live there. In the previous confrontation with NATO, both in Bosnia and Serbia, I used up my strength, so today I am disarmed. I can only encourage propaganda against this evil like this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TW7xjX05N-s
The only thing left for us now is to buy time wisely, which is now the basic concept. The army that begged God for NATO to go on foot no longer exists. It was disbanded a long time ago and thousands of tons of its weapons were melted down in the Smederevo ironworks. What’s left of the army today would be a dangerous bear’s jaw again if they had to. I’m very scared, we’ve always fallen for bait easily. Some kind of unfortunate scenario will be created in the North of Kosovo and Serbs will enter Kosovo. That will be an excuse for an attack on Serbia. God will grant that this will not happen and that a very experienced political team will buy enough time for the storm to pass. I hope for a quick NATO crisis
By the way, let’s face it, I had the opportunity to watch segments of the Kumanovo Agreement. Serbs can return (up to) a thousand soldiers to Kosovo if approved by the UN Security Council. This implies the inability of KVOR to control the situation. Addressing Serbia to KVOR is also a conscious purchase of time. Almost an announcement that the Serbs will come in if something goes wrong.
@Vale
Who made that video? Did you make that video?
It speaks to those of us in the US who know what’s going on. More and more we are under the knife.
God, please bless and protect Serbia!
Whoever makes a video of so much Truth like this is needed by the world. Serbia cannot disappear.
TBEL
Yes, I made that video with the intention of sharing it as much as possible, but someone somewhere is obviously causing trouble
The Serbian army has not reinstated conscription although it was not been formally abolished . Serbia needs to continue to rebuild its military for the moment when it will seize its rightful lands . An occupier will just ethnically cleanse the people , as the Greeks and Armenians of Turkey or for that matter the Serbs of Croatia .
I’ve read before that Serbia was the “Christ of nations”. Oppressed, destroyed, genocided at least four times in history.First by the Ottomans, then in WWI,then again in WWII,and then during the1990’s.Unless they and Russia can find a way somehow to combine in alliance, then we may see a 5th time.
The only thing the Reich understands are bullets.
Reunites with historically Serbian lands in Montenegro, Bosnia and Kosovo
—
+ Serbian Krayina in Tito’s Croatia + Macedonia
Results of the catholic genocide, destroying 1.2 millions of Srebs, canot be admited.
Liberating the Serbian Krajinas in Croatia would put them under the threat of Croat attack. The Krajinas are militarily indefensible, and having Ustashe as neighbors is asking for disaster.
I think that the Croatian Serbs are better off living in defensible regions.
My 2cts only, this will be a sovereign decision of the Serbian nation.
Unfortunately for Serbs, Vucic is just another one in line of stooges installed by the west since 2000. Also there is large suspicion that he is a illegitimate child of Fahri Musliu, Albanian that worked as a journalist in one of the major newspapers at the same time as Vucic’s mother, during the time of SFRY. Here is the photo comparing them.
https://slavija-info.com/fahri-musliju-hrabri-vucica-priznaj-sine/
I’ve seen reports of Chinese air transport aircraft flying into Serbia in the not to distant past. Reportedly there were transporting air defense systems. If Serbia has a updated and modern air defense system I doubt NATO can pull off a second war. NATO likes to bomb stuff and that might not be in the cards this time.
China doesn’t want the US to bomb its embassy again.
Andrei My Brother,
The West has truly become the Evil Empire it once labeled the Soviet Union as. I converted from Roman Catholicism to Orthodoxy largely due to the grave injustices committed by the Collective West against the Serbian Nation and it’s Orthodox People back in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. I had hoped (in vain) then that the Vatican would speak out against what was being done to Syria. When they did not it gravely wounded my conscience as a Roman Catholic.
The fact that Russia was the only real nation to speak up for the Serbs was not (and never) lost on me. I had a great respect for the Russians even though there was little they could do at the time (under Yeltsin).
Now the West has thrown off any thin veneer of Christianity. The Satanic face behind the Empire is now there for everyone to see in plain sight.
God save Russia and Serbia!
I see that the satanist power behind the leadership in the West knows very well that the existing world geopol situation is an existential threat to it. It knows very well that the worldwide power on the rise, based on people this one not on Mammon, knows precisely where Satan is now physically centered , and that it will eradicate it completely, nowhere to hide.
We can thus expext the worst réactions from the Beast, like during exorcisms.
It’s sad but we now have to rise and join God’s warriors.
Knowing what we know about the EU, an insidious bankrupt US cuckolded vassal entity, why in God’s name would any self-respecting sovereign state wish to touch it with a bargepole?
Further, any member of the EU is an automatic enemy of Russia. Somewhere down the line Serbia, like the rest of these US bottom-lickers would have to comply with sanctions on Russia, that’s the cost of membership.
Therefore, until Serbia puts its own domestic political house in order, why should Russia give a stuff, Orthodox or otherwise.
There is no EU membership without NATO membership. The Sweden and Finland ‘exception’ was just a matter of time to soften up the population and finding the right time to make it official. A referendum for EU, but none for NATO.
Too much drama.
Nothing is going to happen to Serbia and Serbs, be that in Kosove or Serbia.
Nothing is going to happen to Albanians in Kosove.
With and without presence of Nato, USA, Third Reich, Ottoman Empire, Russia etc etc, Albanians and Serbs, time after time fought with each-others and beside each-other, killed each-other, drank together, eat together, married each-other.
History between two groups is a very tall tree with deep, deep roots.
I would say Serbs are more successful in killing, since they had a unified state since old times, starting from 9 or 10th century in Rascia.
And no amount of irredenta will match the ability for violence of a well organized state, which Serbia is one.
Haven’t the numbers but I’d bet there’s several thousand, possibly much more US-NATO trained Albanian Pikers in Ukraine. Like the other bought and paid for scum like the Poles, I hope their home towns are littered with graves.
Merry Christmas
What you say is full of ignorance. The Kosovo Serb population is down to a few percent, while back in the 9th and 10th century there were no Albanians in Kosovo at all. The “Albanians” (which is what foreigners decided to call them and not their own name for themselves) were first mentioned at the end of the 11th century in the Balkans as mercenaries brought in by the Byzantine Empire.
The first Turkish census of Kosovo had the area almost pure Serb with a tiny (around 1%) population of Vlachs and and even small population of Albanians. So the Albanians had only started to trickle up to Kosovo by 1455.
There were essentially no Albanians in Kosovo before 1300. So now you had an essentially pure Serbian Kosovo before 1300 with no Albanians to one where the Serb population has been almost wholly exterminated and the Albanians who weren’t even there have almost consumed it all.
That’s not even to mention that the Tito communists took parts of pure Serbian populated areas and annexed them to Kosovo in the decades after WWII. This would hide some of the ethnic cleansing of Serbs which happened in WWII.
And I bet you have no idea what the meaning of “Dardania” is.
But as I say, in my opinion, dum vivimus vivamus…
“Dardanians” got their name from a Greek god the “Dardanelles” is also named after him. They came from Anatolia to the Balkans. There is no relation between them and the Albanians. That is just another Austria/western cooked up fairy tale to boost Albanian claims in the Balkans. Their “evidence” is that Dardan is someone similar to the Albanian word for “pear”. As if a people would name themselves after a fruit?!!
You can also find Serb language in Dardan with “Dar” meaning gift and Dan meaning day. So you could also argue it is two Serb names.
The Albanians are of J Haplogroup which comes from the Caucasus and Middle East. The Chechens are particularly strong in J Haplogroup. The Albanian language is similar in syntax, grammar and sounds to the Chechen language and there are also some words that are similar in the languages.
The even was an “Albania” marked on the maps in the Caucasus in 800 A.D. It was a name given to the region by westerners/foreigners but then so is the name Albanian for those who are today called Albanians. It was not their own name for themselves and the first writings of them referred to them as the “so-called Albanians”.
“These castles together were called the Dardanelles,[1][2] probably named after Dardanus, an ancient city on the Asian shore of the strait which in turn was said to take its name from Dardanus, the mythical son of Zeus and Electra.”
Dardania – Dardanus – mythical son of Zeus and Electra. Dardanelles ancient city in Anatolia named after him too. “Dardanians” came to Balkans from this region of Anatolia.
Also info on Albanians colonizing Kosovo, Macedonia & parts of Serbia:
the visitators will experience the following: economic hardship in the barren Albanian mountain areas, flight from the blood vengeance rampant in Northern Albania and ultimately forced emigration, i.e. resettlement. The latter happened in order to re-populate areas devastated by war, or to remove rogue or insurgent tribes from their usual surroundings. Thus the rebellious Kelmendi were relocated by the Turks to the area of Pester near Novi Pazar in 1700. In 1703, Archbishop Vincent Zmajevic reports about some villages in the area of Gjakova: “Le ville sud. e sono colonie delli albanesi montagnuoili, obligati dalli Turchi alla tranmigratne, e per levar ad essi l’occasione did rubbare, e per popolare il paese, che era distrutto dalle guerre.”
Translation of last part:
The south villas and they are colonies of the Albanian mountainers, obliged by the Turks to the transmigratne, and to take away from them the opportunity to rubbare, and to populate the country, which was destroyed by wars.
Under the Turkish rule, a continuous process of immigration of Albanian families to Kosovo & Macedonia began & at the same time a process of Islamization; The spiritual visitation reports about Serbia, which have been in the Propaganda Fide archives in Rome since the beginning of the 17th century, provide detailed information about both processes.
Since we are in copy and paste period,
…” Evidence shows that once upon a time the Slavs were a majority in Kosovo, Albania and much of Greece. These were not Serbs but Bulgaro-Macedonians, those of the first wave. Much of Kosovo was inhabited by these Slavs. Toponyms are evidence of that.
Before the arrival of the Slavs Kosovo obviously belonged to the Illyrians, those who spoke Latin, such as the ancestors of the Vlachs and those who spoke native Illyrian languages, such as the ancestors of the Albanians.
After being reduced to just a few tens of thousands of people, the Albanians gradually begun to expand and move to Kosovo, Southern Albania and Macedonia with the help of the Bulgarian Empire. Probably because they needed people to repopulate regions that had been devastated by the wars with the Byzantines. This is evidenced by the Slavic toponyms used by the Albanians which are in Bulgarian. Keep in mind that the last strongholds of the first Bulgarian Empire were in Albania and Western Macedonia.
Before the emergence of the Grand Princedom of Serbia some 300 years after the arrival of the Bulgarians, there was this entity called Grand Principality of Dukla, which for a period of about 40 years had much of Kosovo and Northern Albania under its grip. Dukla was a sort of alliance of Serbs of Montenegro, Rascia, Kosovo, the Bulgaro Macedonian Slavs of Kosovo and Albanians.
That’s why the dialect of the Serbs of Southeastern Serbia is very close to Bulgarian. They are most probably Serbianized Bulgarians.
When Dukla fell apart in 1081 as a result of internal unrest, the Serbian prince Vukan of Rascia (modern Sandzak), which was outside of Kosovo, begun what was eventually going to be the Grand Principality of Serbia. The Serbian Prince gradually expanded its borders to include Kosovo and later Northem Macedonia and Northern Albania. Being within the Principality, the Albanians were free to settle deeper into Kosovo, Rascia and Toplica in central Serbia.
When Stephan Dushan created the Serbian Empire, he further assisted Albanian expansion in all directions, especially towards south Albania and Greece, probably by using them as soldiers and as leverage against both the Byzantines and the second Bulgarian Empire.
By the time of Thomas Preljubovic, the ruler of the Despotate of Epirus, after the death of Dushan, the Albanians had already settled in Chameria. Much of the previous Slavic inhabitants of the region had begun to disappear for unknown to date reasons. This disappearance was not cause by the Albanians. This is evidenced by the fact that the Albanians, the Greeks and the Vlachs, they all kept the Slavic toponyms unchanged. Other then that there is not trace left of these Slavs.
Another further expansion of the Albanians was made possible by the Byzantine authorities of the Despotate of Epirus. They invited Albanians to settle much of central Greece and Athens.
When the Ottomans arrived, Albanian expansion continued at the usual rate. However, as a result of several conflicts between the Serbs and the Ottomans, many Serbs were forced to flee from Kosovo, leaving free space for Albanians to occupy.
The expulsion of the Muslims from central Serbia in 1878 promted an expulsion of Christian Serbs (and probably Albanians as well) from Kosovo. Albanians and Circassians from Toplica moved to Kosovo. Serbs and others moved to Serbia. Kosovo became majority Muslim Albanian.
Albanians have always been part of Kosovo and from the historical events mentioned above, it was the Serbs who turned Kosovo into an Albanian stronghold.
Those toponyms are not all Serbian. In the east of Kosovo (including the term Kosovo itself) the toponyms are mostly Bulgarian. In the west of Kosovo the Serbian toponyms are much more frequent. Even in North Albania toponyms are mixed Bulgarian and Serbian.
Unlike what Serbian chauvinistic propaganda might tell you, the Albanians did not pour down into Kosovo from the mountains to illegally appropriate Serbain land with the help of the Ottomans. This is 19th century propaganda.
The movement of Albanians towards Kosovo and other regions begun already since the times of the first Bulgarian Empire, way before the Serbs took over and it was assisted to a large degree by both the Bulgarian and the Serbian states, before the Ottomans ever took a step into the Balkans.
This is evidence based historical analysis. Not that nationalistic crap served by both sides of the fence…”
Therefore, dum vivimus vivamus…
Do Russians have a legal opportunity to send the rockets against Serbian enemies – with the explanation of defending The Resolution 1244?
Russia has enough on its plate saving itself. Upon victory over NATO if Serbia declares its intention to join the RF and not EU, then arrangements can probably be made.
ANDREI, serbia is such a small country couldnt a couple s400s from russia protect entire country from us bombers?
That is the right question! Thank you for that. It could also help some Sarmat & Kinshal….
Russia brought S400 in 2019, as part of the joint military exercise. No video record exist that these untis were taken back to Russia.

I hope Serbia has stocked up on anti-ship missiles in the last two decades. They have, apparently, bought some modern Chinese SAMs which might prove useful, but nothing would make NATO piss off like sinking some serious tonnage from the carrier strike group in the Adriatic.
What I find extremely disturbing & inappropriate to the situation is the permanent bashing against the Vucic government. I do not like Vucic as a person, his manner and his behavior. Nevertheless, since the change of government with his leadership, there has been a positive change in the Serbian economy, which has also benefited the Serbian population. After the coup in Serbia on October 5, 2000, the Western-oriented political caste or the gang working in their own pockets brought the country close to collapse. It may be that Vucic is a German man who promised whatever to come to power. But it is also a fact that it did not do the same to his predecessors. He expanded relations with Russia & China, Serbian economy expanded & I am very happy that my 2nd degree nieces & nephews can make a decent living from their work. This was not always the case for other nieces & nephews. Even more so during the reign of the corrupt neoliberal putschists.
Again and again it was predicted that Vucic will turn against the RF, impose sanctions, etc. Now it is the end of 2022, there are still no sanctions. Instead there are provocations in Kosovo & Metohija. For what reasons do you think these are initiated? Because Vucic is a traitor & in bondage to the West? That’s a joke to still claim that & to be applauded for it by dubious Serbian nationalists. I tell you that these voices are not Serbian patriots, but idiots who have no idea about politics & the mechanisms of world politics & how small weak countries can position themselves against it, much less have any idea how hard it is! Last but not least you should forget like many others that a Russian government together with criminal western forces decided sanctions against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1992 & thus opened all floodgates for the criminal west to destroy this state & defame the majority population _ the Serbs! They were declared de facto as 2nd nation after the Germans as genocide, where was Russia there? Where was Russia when the coup took place in Belgrade on October 5, 2000. Where was Russia when the drug junkies under western influence took over power in Yugoslavia afterwards & delivered their president to the western inquisition in 2001 & murdered him 5 years later? In 2001 & 2005 Saint Putin was in power but what did he do about it?
I like Putin & his policies & wish he would succeed with them. But he has made far more mistakes in cooperating with the West than Milosevic or Vucic, even though he had more influence & power. So let’s not focus on bashing individual politicians but promote unity. In this difficult situation in Serbia it will only matter, Russia will not be able to help because of its own difficulties. But the Serbs are used to that by now!
To be honest all this Vucic cheering make any normal Serb sick in the stomack. However you asked few questions with respect to Russia. So here is some tings for you to consider.
1. Until 2000, Russian president was Yeltsin who was western stooge himself.
2. Remember when Russian troops took over Slatina airport in Pristina. They stayed in Kosovo and Metohija for more then few years and during that time no forced expulsion of Serbian population happened. They were being placed under NATO command and every time one of soldiers get murdered by Albanians no actions could of been taken. Through this time, under Putin, several requests were made to the Serbian government to separately request help from Russia, as Syria done it later. Every request was refused.
3. Every negotiation about Kosovo and Metohija was done with US, while Albanians were siting behind. Russian government under Putin offered several times to come to negotiations. Again, the request were denied.
4. Even the request that Russian humanitarian center in Nis get diplomatic status was refused, even though during the catastrophic floods it was used for rescue crews and materials to fly into country. All this was done under Putin, while EU offered few rubber duckies.
5. When UK proposed UN resolution to proclaim Serbian people as genocidal, it was Russia under Putin that shot that one down.
6. And the last one will be one old proverb: You can lead the horse to the water, but you cannot make it drink.
“They stayed in Kosovo and Metohija for more then few years and during that time no forced expulsion of Serbian population happened.”
Serbs were being expelled the entire time Russians were there. Nearly the entire population of Pristina Serbs was purged shortly after Russians arrived in Pristina. The Russians did not save the Serbs at all. They ended up joining the NATO forces and did duty for NATO, including helping Albanian villages. Meanwhile Serbs would report Russians were “oiling their tanks” while Serb villages were under stress.
So, the crowds of Serbs who were happy to great the Russians were soon horrified to learn that they weren’t saved at all. Instead they were kidnapped and taken to torture camps (which even the Sandzak head of a humanitarian organization publicly declared existed in early 2000, several months after the war) or killed for their property.
Russia also didn’t help repair and rebuild Serbia after the NATO attack even though the Serb government was trying to get Russia interested in helping.
Russia also threatened to turn off gas for Serbia due to debts in September/October 2000. This was just extra pressure on the Milosevic government before and during the elections against the DOS, the U.S.’s cobbled puppet government. Just a few years later, after NATO occupied Afghanistan, Russia forgave Afghanistan billions worth of debt.
So Russia helped push the Serbian government to fall.
‘Serbs were being expelled the entire time Russians were there. Nearly the entire population of Pristina Serbs was purged shortly after Russians arrived in Pristina. The Russians did not save the Serbs at all. They ended up joining the NATO forces and did duty for NATO, including helping Albanian villages.’
As per my comment above, they were under NATO command. It was small contingent that was previously located in B&H. And that is way Russian government asked for separate request for help – as per my original comment.
‘So, the crowds of Serbs who were happy to great the Russians were soon horrified to learn that they weren’t saved at all. Instead they were kidnapped and taken to torture camps (which even the Sandzak head of a humanitarian organization publicly declared existed in early 2000, several months after the war) or killed for their property.’
Russia was under the old leadership – see my comment above. Sandzak does not exists. That is the term that Ottomans used. It is Raska region.
‘Russia also didn’t help repair and rebuild Serbia after the NATO attack even though the Serb government was trying to get Russia interested in helping.’
Russia was fighting active war in Chechnya. The economy was devastated. During 90s average life expectancy dropped to 57. No rule of law. US agents inside the Kremlin.
‘Russia also threatened to turn off gas for Serbia due to debts in September/October 2000. This was just extra pressure on the Milosevic government before and during the elections against the DOS, the U.S.’s cobbled puppet government.’
Would love to see the actual proof of this claim. In regards to Milosevic he was handed over to Hague’s henchmen by Djindjic and the clique, who are in power to this day. Every single one traitor that will, God willing, one day be put in front of the judge and pay for betrayal and looting of the country.
Oh, that Serbian Russian record. In case you missed it, Russia was busy being raped by Empire in the 90’s. Costing more lives that WW2 according to some estimates. What did Titos Yugoslavia ever do for Russia ?
Unfortunately Tito hooked up with the Anglo-Saxons as a counterweigth to the Soviet and Stalin, and was rewarded by economic oportunities. When no longer useful for Empire, it was doom time. No permanent friends, only interests.
The arguments for handing over Milosevic, was justified by the economic well being of the people. Failiure to comply would have resulted in even harsher economic sanctions. Those responsible still defend it to this day.
Those economic achievements of ‘Vucic my good friend Angela’ will vanish into thin air, the moment he quits dancing to the EU drum. It looks like that moment is fast approaching according to ‘von der crazy’.
That said, Vucic and Serbia is in a shitty situation, and I think now is a time for unity even under Vucic.
NATO’s revival of the Serbia file, in the context of Russia confronting nazi Ukraine, is another attack on Russia’s geopolitical flank, targetting the weakest link. It is a macro version of nazi Ukraine bombing civilians in Donetsk non-stop, confronting Russia with its inability to stop it. Russia cannot help Serbia, if the current provocations evolve into a broad military confrontation. Serbia will be isolated and surrounded, and if defeated, subjected to further balkanization.
Still, Russia has a few cards when it comes to Serbia.
Russia started this war stating very clearly it had no intentions to destroy Ukraine as a nation-state. That position has evolved, as the nature of the war has shown Ukraine is a US/NATO marionette, no more, no less. So far, conversations about the boundaries for Russia inside Ukraine differ in their geographical scope. Speculations about the current goals go from taking the South all the way to Transnistria, to reaching the Dnieper, to get to the border with NATO.
Assuming Russia, once over the meat grinders in Artemivsk/Avdiivka/Slavyansk, et al, continues pushing west, unstoppable, given Russia’s permanent disposition to negotiate, it might be able to push the Serbia file against leaving Ukraine a statelet, under Russia’s security requirements. That would give Serbia a respite Russia could take advantage of, propping up Serbia militarily and economically.
Russia is not tied up re: Serbia, it has political, diplomatic, even military space to maneuver, and it has all of Ukraine to bargain with.
And more.
If Russia is to survive this confrontation with the Collective West, it has to find a way to help her traditional allies, as it did in Syria, against all odds. One of the many reasons NATO aims to break Serbia, is the psychological coup this will mean for Russia and Russians, a blow to their solar plexus, in which Russians will be seeing their future.
We can have the absolute certainty Russia will not let the CW destroy Serbia without putting up a fight.

Serbia is not without friends – the Greeks in 1999 strongly supported Serbia. The following video provides a moving speech from Mikis Theodorakis in support of Serbia, ending with prophetic words of the fate of countries that disobeyed the US: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=if9n20iM01E.
And there are many more friends throughout the world (aside from Russia) – China – which is actively supporting Serbia and even in the EU there are five countries, which refuse to recognize Kosovo (supporting the Serbian position to varying extents). I think if you did a worldwide poll – apart from the Collective West, the majority of the world would support Serbia. Whether this would be enough to deter the Collective West from using military action – I can’t say, but for sure this would certainly increase the mistrust for the Collective West by the Rest of the World.
“Serbia is not without friends – the Greeks in 1999 strongly supported Serbia.”
Not really. The Greeks supplied logistics for NATO and helped it in many ways, even if they themselves refused to directly attack Serbia. A Greek politician even bragged after the war about how they managed to please both sides.
Greek KFOR took down a bell in a Serbian church because it annoyed the Albanians. They never helped the Serb population there against the ethnic cleansing and never rescued any of the kidnapped Serbs (or other minorities).
Where is NATO going to get the soldiers, ammo, and equipment to attack Serbia? They can’t even supply the Ukraine
whereas Serbia is prepared with Chinese weapons since April
https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-aleksandar-vucic-belgrade-serbia-nato-054211af534ec825441577e8bde45251
Where do you think all that missing equipment and ammo in Ukraine went ?
Serbia is also facing real existential threat, just like Russia. And though I fought against Serbs (and Russian volunteers) during Bosnia war, I still consider booth nations brotherly Slavs, and I look in horror what is preparing against Serbia. There is no wisdom in this, all options are really, really bad.
If Serbia decides to fight, they can take Kosovo back within some days, but Serbia will be bombed to stone age, this time quite literally. NATO has run out of artillery and ammo, but still possesses more then enough air force to make it good on destroying Serbia.
What I would suggest is immediately holding the nationwide referendum with two questions:
– Capitulating to NATO and giving up on Kosovo forever, or…
– Joining Russian/Belarus state union and becoming second Kaliningrad
(Maybe China can make some emergency delivery to Serbia, or maybe Russia keeps some nasty surprises in their “humanitarian base” in Nis?)
There is also an option of evacuating all Serbs from Kosovo to EU as a refugees, EU would not be happy.
Though I’m personally forgiving to Serbs (folk, not individuals) for what they did to us during the war (which is similar to what Ukrainians are doing to population of Donbas), others in Balkans are more then ready to fight Serbs on behalf of NATO and take revenge.
I wish Milosevic and Tudjman never came to power, Yugoslavia was still united country and guarantor of peace and stability in the Balkans, and empire never gained momentum to try to conquer the world, but it’s all gone now. To Serbs I would say: Bolje grob nego rob! Fight with heart and soul, it’s not just Kosovo that they are after, they want it all.
A personal note to Saker: “bombing of Sarajevo” and “Srebrenica genocide” are bloody real war crimes, no “” needed, ditch that hypocrisy man, it doesn’t suit you well.
Typical comment who thinks that Tito’s Yugoslavia was some model when in fact it was hijacked from the Serbs and Yugoslavs . Yes , Srebrinica is a hoax and many irregularities exist on the veracity of the bodies which was mainly dead soldiers. You failed to mention Izetbegovic who is responsible to massive war crimes against all Yugoslavia. Did you not read the article ? Izetbegovic backed out of multiple deals at the behest of the US , exactly what Zelensky is doing now .
You are truly demented trying to compare the Bosnian Serbs to the Ukrainian Nazis and Banderists . Let me remind you they the there were Bosnian Muslim Nazi divisions during WW2 responsible for war crimes against the Serbs in Sarajevo along with the Ustase.
Kosovo is not an option for Serbs, it’s their identity and nation . If it takes millions of years , it will be taken back . The assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and the arrest of Milosevic took place in St. Vitus day as well as many other world events
The Serbs are coming back to claim their rightful lands which includes Sarajevo .
You know nothing John Snow.
The census shows the Bosnian Muslim population gained, percentage-wise, in that war. They went from 43% before the war to almost 50% by the end. This shows they ethnically cleansed and killed more than happened to them.
Sarajevo has been purged of its ethnic Serb population – the Sarajevo Serb population dropped by 120,000 – and Sarajevo is no longer called a multi-ethnic city as it is almost pure Muslim.
Sarajevo was a divided city during the war and the Serb-held side corresponded to where Serbs were the majority of the population and this part ended the war more damaged than the Sarajevo government held side.
It was also the Sarajevo government held side which set up road blockades on all entry and exits to the part they controlled. So the Sarajevo government wouldn’t allow people to leave, but in the Serb part of Sarajevo people were free to leave.
That is why the Sarajevo government had to be pressured for the buses of Sarajevo Jews to leave at the beginning of the war. The Sarajevo government controlled the “gates” of what locals could leave or not.
Bosnian Muslims had the largest army by far and the most snipers by far in Sarajevo and the BiH territory as a whole. UN witnessed Sarajevo Muslims sniping at civilians and the UN, even within their own lines. Bosniaks knew the Serbs would be automatically blamed so they were always staging and provoking things, the first to break cease-fires and violate any agreement.
Bosniaks also had cameras set up and positions to catch the Markale massacre as they were the ones who staged it. The authorities even had the area roped off before the incident. After they set things up, they took down the ropes, got themselves out of the way and then had their cameras to catch the explosion.
Some investigations pointed to a nail-bomb planted in the stalls, while another believes the bomb was dropped from a roof. The crater was at a 90 degree angle and no one heard a characteristic whistle sound of a missile.
Actually many of the UN reports pointed to attacks coming from the ARBiH positions but these would be sidelined by Madeleine Albright and others as they only wanted to blame Serbs for their agenda.
Bosniaks also massacred the departing JNA soldiers, even though their leaving was part of a UN-brokered deal. The survivors were taking to concentration camps or brutal prisons in the Sarajevo case, while in Tuzla it was the Bosniak civilians who finished off the injured Yugoslav soldiers on the street.
Videos show the Bosniaks had plenty of weapons, ammunition and explosives for these attacks on the Yugoslav soldiers at the beginning of the war.
It was also Serbs who first sent fully documented reports of rapes and rape camps to the UN Security Council. Neither the Bosniak government nor the media started any rape camp propaganda until after they learned of the Serbian report sent to the UN Security Council in the fall of 1992.
The Bosnian Muslims never had the hard evidence to back their claims and they only had a much smaller number of documented cases sent to the UN for the entire war (around 200) than Serbs sent in fall of 1992 (800). The Serb cases were also of much higher quality which points to the Bosniak cases as including some false claims or propaganda.
Bosniaks would also being including claims against Croats too, as they had their own 16 months war against each other.
Serbs also have the hospital and medical records for torture and starvation, while Bosniaks don’t show this. Neither do the Bosniaks show any authentic autopsy reports for Srebrenica.
Even an ICTY judge admitted they didn’t have an actual (and authentic) autopsy reports for Srebrenica.
Srebrenica military records captured by the Serbs who Bosniaks are counting their soldiers who died much earlier in the war as “Srebrenica fall” victims. Serbs had the names, brigades and details of when they died. Soldiers who died in 1992, 1993, etc. are being claimed as Srebrenica massacre victims. Bosniaks won’t open up all their military records, even though this will reveal the truth, as it will destroy the propaganda. Bosniaks also won’t show any authentic autopsy records, for these too will show they were combat deaths. They haven’t shown a single identified autopsy report showing execution style death of a Bosniak. Meanwhile Serbs show their autopsy records, along with photos of fully named Serbs and these show extreme butchery and torture. The Bosniaks liked to mutilate.
Even a Scottish mercenary, John MacPhee who joined the Croatian HVO and Special forces to fight against Serbs, but ended up fighting against Bosniak in 1993, was shocked and horrified at what Bosniaks did to the Croat civilians, including women and babies, as they would mutilate them. He even carried one of these murdered infants and buried it.
He says Bosniaks would even mutilate the animals and bash their brains out. Bosniaks also killed all the Serbs’ livestock and animals around Srebrenica which puts a lie to the claim the they were raiding for food. They were wasting food as they left the animals to rot. They were destroying everything of the Serbs’ so the Serbs would have nothing there.
Scorched-earth ethnic cleansing is what the Srebrenica forces were doing to Serbs.
And the Srebrenica forces and men went to Tuzla. That is where thousands of “missing” Srebrenica men were located. There were also many who went to U.S., Australia, or within Bosnia, including Sarajevo. There were also many who went back to the Srebrenica area, and have even run for political office.
Njegos wrote almost two hundred years ago:
“What right to hope has anyone of us
except in God and in our own two hands.
The hope we had was buried forever
in one large tomb at the Kosovo Field. (battle at 1389.)
When things go well, ’tis easy to be good;
adversity shows who is the hero.”

Nothing changed, ever.
Allow me one more:
“ABBOT STEFAN
I have passed through both sieve and colander.
I have looked this troublesome world over.
I have drunk to dregs its cup of poison
and come to know the bitterness of life.
With all that is, with all that still can be,
I am, indeed, quite familiar now.
I am ready for whatever might come.
All the evils that are under the sun
are man’s burden to carry here on earth.
You are still young and inexpert, Bishop!
The first few drops from the cup of poison
are the hardest and most bitter to drink.
Of, if only you knew what awaits you!
This world is a tyrant to the tyrant,
let alone to a truly noble soul!
It is work of infernal discord:
in it the soul is at war with the flesh;
in it the sea is at war with the shores;
in it the cold is at war with the heat;
in it the winds are at war with the winds;
in it creature is at war with creature;
in it nation is at war with nation;
in it a man is at war with others;
in it the days are at war with the nights;
in it spirits are at war with heaven.
The body groans under the spirit’s weight,
and the soul sways unsure in the body.
The sea, too, groans under the heaven’s weight,
and heaven sways and trembles in the sea.
One wave by force overtakes another,
and then both break upon the rocky shores.
No one’s happy, and no one is content,
no one is calm, and no one is at peace.
Man laughs with scorn at all his fellow men:
a monkey sees himself in a mirror! “
“The debt that Russia obliged the Serbian people in 1914 is so enormous that neither centuries nor generations can repay it. This is a debt of love, which blindfolded goes to death, saving its neighbour … Will we ever dare to forget that the Russian Tsar with his children and millions of his brothers went to death for the truth of the Serbian people? Do we dare to keep silent before Heaven and Earth that our freedom and statehood cost Russia more than we do? .. Russians in our days have repeated the Kosovo drama. If Tsar Nicholas had adhered to the earthly kingdom, the kingdom of selfish motives and petty calculations, he would, in all likelihood, still sit on his throne in Petrograd today. But he clung to the kingdom of heaven, to the Kingdom of heavenly sacrifices and gospel morality; because of this, he lost his head, and his children, and millions of his brethren. Another Lazarus and another Kosovo! This new Kosovo epic reveals a new moral wealth of the Slavs. If someone in the world is capable and should understand this, then the Serbs can and must understand it.“
– Nikolaj Velimirovic
I truly believe a better world exists on the other side of this crisis if/when we are able to get through it… but it is dependent on Russia winning.
I think it is critical to avoid military conflict in Kosovo now. The brave Serbs still living there should instead be given suport in all ways possible by Beograd as ‘civilian’ fighters. Buy even more time, but avoid conflict.
Maybe ask the Turks for help, maybe Erdogan can send a peace keeping battalion as a go between. That might also cool down Empires other sleeping Jihadi prone areas within Serbia/Bosnia. Erdogan gets to assert some old Ottoman power in the region. He is already has big influense in the area.
Wtih Turkey going multi-polar, he could help in a self-beneficial way to give Serbia a break from Empire.
