UK police say couple in Wiltshire contaminated with same substance as Skripals
British authorities are saying that the couple that is currently in critical condition in Salisbury hospital was exposed to the same substance as Sergei Skripal and his daughter in March.
UK counter-terrorism chief Neil Basu said that the substance was ‘Novichok,’ the same one that the UK claims the Skripals were poisoned with. He said that police did not know how it was transmitted. The affected people are both British and in their mid-40s, and Basu said there was nothing in the pair’s background to suggest they would be a target, yet their connection to the Skripal case is being investigated.
Earlier, Wiltshire Police declared a “major incident” in the town of Amesbury, around 12 kilometers from Salisbury, over a man and woman, both British in their 40s, being hospitalized after “suspected exposure to an unknown substance.”
The pair was discovered unconscious in a property in Muggleton Road on Saturday, but Wiltshire Police did not report the incident until Wednesday. The UK’s chief medical officer said during the press conference on Wednesday that the risk to the general public from the Wiltshire case was low.
“This evening I’ve received test result from Porton Down [laboratory] that show that the two people have been exposed to the nerve agent ‘Novichok,’” Neil Basu said, adding that it has been identified as “the same nerve agent that contaminated Yulia and Sergey Skripal.”
Basu, who was recently appointed as Head of Counter Terrorism, Assistant Commissioner of Specialist Operations (ACSO), has said that some 100 detectives of the counter-terrorism force have been scrambled for a joint investigation with local police.
Police have yet to determine if there is any connection between the March poisoning and the incident in Amesbury, Basu said, noting that “the possibility that these two investigations might be linked is clearly a line of enquiry for us.”
It is not known if the substance that the British pair was exposed to “was from the same batch” that the Skripals were allegedly poisoned with, Basu stressed.
British Home Secretary Sajid Javid has announced he will preside over a meeting of the government’s emergency committee on Thursday. He praised the “tireless professionalism” of Salisbury Hospital staff and said the new incident “follows the reckless and barbaric attack which took place in Salisbury.” Javid asked that the police be “given space” to establish the circumstances of the new incident.
The Novichok questions
While Basu noted that the investigation into the Skripals saga is still ongoing four months after their mysterious poisoning on March 4, the British government had determined a culprit right off the bat, blaming Russia mere days after the former double agent and his daughter were discovered slumped on a bench in Salisbury.
Russia’s refusal to give in to the British ultimatum and admit its responsibility without seeing some kind of proof first has led to a major diplomatic crisis, with the UK and its allies expelling over a hundred Russian diplomats. Moscow, which responded in a tit-for-tat manner, demands that London provide access to the materials of the investigation or at least present compelling evidence of Russia’s role in the case. However, the British side has repeatedly refused to cooperate with Moscow, demanding it first admit its guilt.
In the meantime, the list of unanswered questions is growing. It is still unclear how the Skripals managed to survive after being exposed to a supposed “military-grade” nerve agent. The UK’s refusal to give Russian diplomats access to Yulia Skripal, who is a Russian citizen, has also raised suspicions, with some Russian officials speculating that London fears the truth might come out if she were to speak freely.
Saker Commentary: for the life of me I cannot see how the British government is going to spin this one without looking totally stupid. If they try the “highly likely” road, they are going to be the laughingstock of the planet, but if they say anything else, then they are signing the death warrant to the entire Skripal false flag. Frankly, I have absolutely no idea what is going on, maybe a disgruntled employee from Porton Down, who knows? Or maybe this is some kind of desperate ploy by the British authorities to extricate themselves from the clearly FUBARed Skripal false flag. In any case, it sure look to me like the entire Skripal fairytale is coming tumbling down and I hope that the MH-17 false flag will be next. Along with the entire British government.

The two points raised in this article – The World Cup and Putin/Trump meeting are not lost on anyone.
This happened on Saturday – hmm. Yet it takes till Wednesday afternoon/evening (US’s 4th July celebrations/Independence Day) for the story to get traction – so people have been breathing the same air and hanging around the same places where these two individuals were poisoned but no one else has become ill – lethal nerve agent my arse!
I noticed how this “incident” knocked the World Cup off the top of the news cycle…..during the 2 days of downtime before the quarter finals and a week before the Putin/Trump meeting. Some groups are desperate to stop the meeting – by any means it seems.
The heat was building up against Johnson and May (especially due to World Cup success) – now everything is distracted again. It reminds me of the fable of Peter and the Wolf – eventually no one will believe this Government as they have cried wolf too many times. This current British Government is a joke.

Since we are in an evidence-free world, nothing says the Holy British Empire is immune to such attacks.

It keeps happening. Do you remember when Novichok was the most deadly of substances, many times more powerful than VX or Sarin, and causing death in seconds? But then, when that needed to be altered to fit the government’s Skripal story, they found scientists to explain that actually no, it was pretty slow acting, absorbed gradually through the skin, and not all that deadly.
Scientists are an interesting bunch. More than willing to ascribe whatever properties fit the government’s ever more implausible stories, in exchange for an MSM appearance fee, 5 minutes of fame and the fond hope of a research grant.
According to the Daily Telegraph today, the unfortunate Charlie Rowley is a registered heroin addict, and if true Occam’s Razor would indicate that is a rather more likely reason for his present state than an inexplicably persistent weaponised nerve agent.
If it is however true that two separate attacks have been carried out with “novichok” a few miles either side of Porton Down, where “novichok” is synthesised and stored for “testing purposes”, what does Occam’s razor suggest is the source of the nerve agent? A question not one MSM journalist seems to have asked themselves tonight.

British Government Peddles Warmed Over Novichok Muck

All British media outlets report of a middle-aged British couple, Dawn Sturgess and Charlie Rowley, who fell seriously ill in Amesbury, a town near Salisbury and near the British chemical weapon site Proton Down. The couple were transported to the Salisbury hospital. They were first suspected to have taken drugs but the police now speaks (vid) of a “potential exposure to an unknown substance” and that they “remain in a critical condition”.
The parallels to the poisoning of the British-Russian spy Sergej Skripal and his daughter four month ago are obvious. The government alleged they were poisoned by a nerve agent of the Novichok series. Like back in March the British government will soon name the evildoer of this new drama.

As I understand it, the so-called ” Novichok ” has been registered by a former Russian chemist, now living in ‘ millionaire splendor ‘ in North America where some years ago he published details of his patented and legally registered rights to Novichok and all of it patented expressions!
With regards to the alleged poisoning of the family Skripal, and a Wiltshire police person in the Salisbury town, there is a problem with which particular ‘ organophosphate acetylcholine ‘ the British government authorities are claiming is a ‘ Novichok ‘?
Is it the well-understood A234 claimed by the experts at the American financed British establishment at their Porton Down chemical research and development centre, which claim is upheld by the UNO sponsored investigatory body, but when as required that body had to have their findings confirmed by a UNO registered and appointed laboratory, in fact the results from the Spiez Laboratory, which registered the tendered sample, as being the nerve agent BZ?
Thus we have this actual difference of professional opinions, BZ is ” 3 Quinuclidinyl Benzicate ” and given its composition it is completely different to A234.??
Until this difference of professional reports is resolved in an open and logical manner, the UK Governments claims of verity are more than suspect.
The summit meeting with President Putin will be cancelled, the Brits will pull their team from the football deal and order all the Brit tourists to return to UK because of the danger they are suddenly in.

I suppose that was easy to determine, since the reported symptoms – as in the Skripal case – were wholly and entirely different from those of any military nerve agent.
A possible interpretation of this case and the Skripal case is that the UK government is conducting an experiment to see just how much absurdity and contradiction the British public will clamly accept.
If so, the future is ominous. It seems the government could announce that black is white (because Putin) and dinosaurs are falling from the skies, without arousing the slightest doubt in the minds of the sheeple.
One can’t help wondering how much this new couple was paid to participate in this farce and maybe put their health (and future freedom) on the line by submitting to a dose of some “agent” whose properties they probably do not know. Per Craig Murray (thanks for link above) the fellow lives in a pricey house in a new housing estate.
One can almost hear the gnashing of teeth at 10 Downing Street as the Brits prevail in FIFA, the Russians bask in their deserved warm glow of success and niceness, the White Nights of St. Petersburg and the gorgeous city, the incredible museums and theaters, and the setting are probably knocking the socks of everyone who visits there and, frankly, putting Buckingham Palace and the other imperial sights of London to shame, Putin continues to book foreign policy victories, Trump doesn’t apparently give a flying F about the Hag May and is looking forward, I am sure, to his meeting with real man VVP—and the UK just seems to look more and more like a set for a bungled Monty Python production where the audience is laughing at them, not with them.

A glove-wearing couple carrying a large red handbag were captured on video (it’s on YouTube) near the Skripal-poisoning site. This handbag-carrying couple resemble the new just-poisoned couple. A large red handbag was on the ground at the foot of the bench where the Skripals were found slumped. Did this handbag poison the Skripals? What are the chances that the just-now-poisoned couple and the red-handbag couple are really one and the same? Because “dead men tell no tales” it would sure be convenient for the (British? American? Ukrainian?) secret services to poison the poison-delivering couple so they could never “tell the tale” of their poison delivery to the Skripals. It’s also possible the newly-poisoned couple did not know about the contents of the red handbag. Perhaps they were just paid to deliver it unopened.
