Thanks to the lightening fast work of the Russian Team (thanks guys!!!) I can share with you a report from the Russian TV channel Rossia 1 which I find absolutely fascinating. It shows how Russia and Argentina have been literally pushed by the USA into working with each other and the kind of results this collaboration is achieving. Though this report focuses on Argentina, I am sure that the same phenomenon is taking place elsewhere, especially amongst the BRICS countries.
It is very hard to change a system which works, a system upon which people depend for their salaries, a system which has been stable for years and which, while not perfect, at least is understood by all parties. This is why for all its imperfections, sometimes bordering on dysfunctions, what I would call the “Western financial-economic system” was so important and, frankly, so attractive: it was there and it worked. But then the USA did something extremely dangerous: they began to use and abuse this system for their very narrow political goals: MasterCard, Visa and the rest of them suddenly dropped Wikileaks, Iran was excluded from SWIFT, the French were told to be billions to Uncle Sam because of the Mistral sales to Russia, the Russians were told to compensate Khodorkovsky, the Swiss were blackmailed into given up their traditional banking secrecy, etc.
Of course, the dollar and the western economic interests did not only attract with a tasty carrot. They also came with a big stick: the US military. But at the same time when the US began using and abusing the Western financial-economic system, they also began a long streak of lost wars. In reality, one could make the case that the USA did not win a single war against a meaningful opponent since 1945 or Korea, but thanks to Hollywood and the Cold War the US still could maintain the illusion of being a military hyper-power. But following 9/11 even that illusion began to go down the tubes following the disasters in Iraq and Afghanistan (and Israel’s abject defeat against Hezbollah).
As a result of the double collapse of the appeal of the Western financial-economic system and of the deterrence of the US military power the rest of the planet began to realize that one could openly defy Uncle Sam and get away with it. Oh sure, Bolivia alone could not do it. Neither could Malaysia. But, lead by the BRICS themselves probably inspired by the ALBA countries, more and more countries came to realize this basic truth: to be an ally of the USA might well be even worse then to openly defy them.
Of course, at this current moment in history, Russia and Argentina are, really, battling for their very survival so it is not surprising that they would be showing the most determination into setting up a new, USA & dollar free economic-financial system. But the absolutely irresponsible and, frankly, crazy behavior of the USA in the past years is, I believe, also scaring the rest of the planet and there is no doubt in my mind that the example of Argentina and Russia is just the tip of a much bigger iceberg. First and foremost, we have the de-facto alliance of China and Russia, the biggest economic power on the planet with the biggest military power. They, in turn, as supported by the BRICS, CSTO, EAEC, SCO, ALBA, Mercosur and many other regional organizations which, in one way or another, federate the 100 or so nations which did not vote with the AngloZionist Empire at the UN on the Ukrainian issue.
The bottom line is this: very few nations are still attracted to the AngloZionist imperial model, and very few are still frightened by it. The result is the kind of collaboration (never shown on the MSM, of course) which you can see in this report. Enjoy!

The fact is Russia made made herself impotant so much that even anglos Supported keiv is not letting relief convoy to go Through to aids at novorussia while anglos can supply arms to anyone they like even the current and forner terrorusts on their own book like ISIS. How useless are lavrov and Putin who thought that by becoming capitalists the anglos will embrace them.
Anglos are running a race war against all nonanglos even against Germans. But stupid Putin has wasted 10 years cultivating his enemies and kicking his potentisl allies like Iran, Syria, Libya.

Dear Saker,
Do you think that the Empire is soooo stupid?
Best regards,
Mohamed.
This is all fascinating, and very, very hopeful. No-till agriculture has been around for a while though, and fairly widely used around here. It not only saves tilth and beneficial micro-organisms, but keeps the soil, uh, in the fields instead of running off. Tilling or plowing also compact the layer of soil under that being tilled, so it’s nice to avoid that also. And it’s a good idea for home gardeners as well: we only till new beds, never after that; there’s just no need.
But another recent idea (Borlaug died regretting his Green Revolution, btw), is perennial wheat, bc not only is the grain itself healthier for you, but those deep, deep roots keep the soil from running off and also maintain its health — plus, there’s no need for new seed, gasoline for the planting machinery, etc. If Russia and Argentina aren’t putting a lot of effort into researching this, they should be!
@Mohamed:Do you think that the Empire is soooo stupid?
In one word: yes. But I would say that the Empire is so *arrogant*. Hubris is just a form of stupidity. Also, keep in mind that the folks in power today, the Neocons, are not the ones who built this Empire in the first place. Think of the kind of brilliant people who ran the USA like George Bush Senior, James Baker or even that SOB Kissinger and compare them with the “crazies” who are running it today. The Neocons are good at only one thing: at destroying. The Anglos, for all their other faults, are world-class Empire builders. I believe that the former have now replaced the latter and that is a death sentence for the Empire. So yes, most definitely, they are really soooo stupid.
Kind regards,
The Saker
This is not defeatist but a sober assessment of the situation with countries like Argentina: The AngloZionists will try to “dissuade” these countries from doing business with Russia. Argentina, for instance, could be offered a carrot
in the form of blocking what the vulture funds want to do to it. We will see where it all leads to.
Saker said,
The Neocons are good at only one thing: at destroying.
Agreed! Could be that Obama is reversing the Neocons by destroying in the opposite direction, by putting the guns on their shoulders.
The survival of the Empire is at stake!
Best regards,
Mohamed.
I, for one, am happy that the new era of Russia and Latin America cooperation is booming. Add China to the mix and the world seems a better place. Viva the new friendships.
Interesting, I can see how the end of US power is comming to an end, as more countries leave its sphere and the dollar is no longer the worlds reserve curancy.
Umm, Saker, Korea was a draw. The US certainly didn’t ‘win’ that, and a Republican president, Eisenhower decided to disengage, and the US entered into its greatest decade of prosperity.
Until Vietnam.
All Russia has to do is be strong until the US mid term elections this fall. It also looks like it will be a Republican will win the presidency in 2016. That party has traditionally been non-interventionist, so, interesting times ahead.
Indeed. In terms of geopolitics, the US looks more unattractive as a partner for the future with each passing day. Europeans know that Americans are stupid and dangerous. What many white western neoliberals don’t understand though, is how deeply America and its imperial adjuncts are hated throughout the world in the main. Furthermore, within America itself, there is a deep hatred for the government, which currently has no coherent policies except maintenance of a domestic police state and continuation of foreign wars of aggression. The very social fabric of America, such as it was, has broken down since the 70s, along with the economy. What’s happening right now in St. Louis is a small example of the deep internal instability of America. Earlier this year the same thing happened out west.
America will end up as a collection of isolated, militarized enclaves on the coasts, and and impoverished wasteland of guerilla warfare everywhere else. And that time is coming sooner than we think.
Perhaps a more useful formulation is that hubris has stupidity as a component part, but hubris is not restricted to stupidity and therefore affords greater opportunities to opponents.
As to Messrs Baker, Bush presumably Prescott’s son, and Kissinger, they had/have their prejudices/stupidities -hubris – that others could use against them, but compared to present incumbents their hubris was less – i.e. a linear distinction.
Attribution, explanation and reporting have an aspect of ego as a component – also a component of hubris.
So the wise lateral strategy is to use knowledge of weaknesses including hubris against your oppoonent, whilst making it appear that either you just got lucky or that you weren’t even involved.
After all even pool is about potting more than one ball.
@ Man From Atlan:
This is not about political parties but about survival of a way of life. Expect no letup whichever of the Janus faces takes power next time round. The people in charge know what is happening and will aim to stop or slow the process.
This is about the dollar, true, but underlying that is energy. The dollar is merely the means of paying for it, a means that guarantees a steep discount to the US.
The US, in whichever manifestation we see it will not go quietly into the long good night.
Think of it this way. How comfortable would a world with only 2 billion people be where the standard of living for 500,000,000 was similar, or better than in the US today and for the rest ranged from starvation level survival to a high something like that in SE Ukraine (absent civil war).
Once one gets one’s head around that idea and understands that in such circumstances energy resources would be easily available for hundreds of years as opposed to a generation or so right now then it is not hard to understand why some people might seek to obtain such a situation.
Kiev is attempting to blow up a chemical plant that will destroy a 600 KM diameter.

Anything to this?
Might any Empire you know fit the following criteria?
(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
(3) believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
(4) requires excessive admiration
(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes
Mr. Nora and I almost fell over when I just read them to him on a whim, bc what you see above are the DSM IV-R criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
sick sick sick sick sick sick sick — and delusional as hell.
Man From Atlan,
The Republican Party was non-interventionist only while Clinton was in office — certainly not this century: they gave us Afghanistan and Iraq and have been ultra-gung-ho on every military “adventure” we’ve had so far and also those we haven’t yet (think McCain on Iran). And Rand Paul has absolutely shamed his father by trotting right along hoping for Zionist goodies. They only critizue Obama for not having done more — and there is no reason whatsoever to think that *any* individual running for Prez will be any less bloodthirsty than he is. Don’t kid yourself: They’re. All. Awful.

Ukraine approves package of 29 anti-Russian measures. 53346.jpeg
On December 12, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine gave the first reading to the government bill about sanctions against Russia. The document regulates 29 measures of “prompt and effective response to current and potential threats to national interests and security of Ukraine.”
In particular, the Security and Defense Council of Ukraine will be entitled to freeze assets, restrict trading, suspend in whole or in part the transit of resources, prevent the outflow of capital, suspend the implementation of economic and financial liabilities, cancel licenses, restrict or terminate the provision of postal services.
Ukraine may also ban or restrict the entry of vessels in the territorial waters or ports of Ukraine. Russian aircraft could be barred from entering the airspace of Ukraine, nor will they be allowed to land on the territory of Ukraine.
The restrictions also provide limitations or cessation of the activity of mass media, including on the Internet. Ukraine will terminate cultural exchange, scientific cooperation, education and sports contacts.
After the vote on the document, Prime Minister Yatsenyuk said during a break that deputies will be able to introduce amendments to the draft law. The second reading of the bill is likely to be held today. If approved, the document will come into force the day following its publication, ITAR-TASS reports.
The Junta must really be insane…

Dear Saker,
When Dubya Presidential Campaign went to overdrive due to losing to Al-Gore, who came to his rescue but not James Baker and won him the Presidency.
Then 9/11 happened, the deep state was made impotent by the Neocons, but remember brilliant people like George Bush Senior, James Baker or even that SOB Kissinger are still alive and kicking.
The deep state is out to get the Neocons and the Zionists, if not they realize that the Empire will for surely fail.
The Neocons and Zionists are now in confusion and cannot figure out the deep state, which is using Obama.
Best regards,
Mohamed.

The Whitney article you linked to is very good. He covers much the same ground I did in an article written a couple of days before his.
Missing from Whitney’s article though is who exactly in the US is driving and profiting from the current US foreign policy (the wars), how they are doing it and why they are doing it.
You can read this vital but missing information here-
Russia’s Real Threat to ‘The Powers That Be’
It is interesting to note that the AngloZionist empire as you mention was not that strong in Europe, not until 911. Since then it has been steadily growing and so has the influence of Jewish Lobby (JL).
Much of the fuel that spurred this growth came from the Christian Zionists. Without them the Jewish Zionist will lose their power fast.
It is suffocating as this Lobby cares more for Israel than the host nation. And this of course, shows itself by the claim of rise of “anti-Semitism”. They want wars in the ME and it is of little concern to them if the host nation suffers. They, American/elite Jews, have a visceral hatred for Russia. I guess they never forgot the past (fictional, exaggerated, deserving or otherwise) of what Russia did to them. They have no sense of forgiveness and sure as hell do not remember the wrongs they did to Russia, Europe or the ME. They can do no wrong, after all, they are the Chosen ones. The fact most of them are atheist is of no concern, they are still “chosen”. Chosen by what, I am not sure. It is no longer about faith, but a superiority complex based on psychopathic values.
Last Night was the worst day by far

Well, evidently and particularly the Russian-Argentina cooperation is extremely pleasing and a large “nuland yourself!” to uza.
But while everyone (understandably) is focussed on agriculture the (imo) dangerous (for the wezt) deal is about Embraer airplanes.
Not so much because the Russians couldn’t build airplanes themselves (they certainly can) but because airplane technology is a (high) core technology. This means two things: a) It indicates a high level of technical – and industrial! – expertise and capabilities. b) it’s like the seed for a pearl; many things and industries build around it.
The wezt has boeing (deeply involved in the MIC and dark programs) and airbus, a quite capable but also insanely dispersed, fractioned and politicized enterprise.
Counting the whole of Russias civil airplane industry as one and seeing that China quickly builds up strengthening Embraer is more than just adding a third one. It’s also risk (and know-how) spreading and it’s strengthening South-America.
If properly played and gone consequently this will rather soon come down to a very very major damage to the weztern arrogant technological and industrial edge. Also importantly, 100+ countries will be able to avoid buying weztern airplanes – and being dependent on weztern support and maintenance. Considering that the BRICS airplanes will almost certainly be cheaper, too, we are talking about a very massive shift in the range of tens of billions annually which, of course, is linked to hundreds of thousands of jobs.
But, of course, right now we should enjoy the immense pleasure of seeing Argentina getting healthy again and escaping the us-zio vultures thanks to – Bang! – the insane idiotic sanctions against Russia. HaHaHa.
And once more Putin demonstrated how to properly do what the uz retards mindlessly tried but fucked up.
And the morale? Don’t try to fuck people, 90% of which enjoyed a good education and have 1000+ years of culture under their belt when the large majority of your own citizens has serious reading, writing, and basic math problems after high school and “think” that culture must be a soft-drink. HaHaHa.
Just a pondering from Canuckistan here but it certainly takes into account what has been pointed out by a few observant and knowledgeable commentators within the Vineyard.
The neocons and their globalist cabal certainly did not build anything at all. As a matter of fact they have benefited tremendously from the system they seek to destroy in order to control everything.
If we can accept that, we have accepted at least one common ground to build upon.
The fact that these neocons have now publicly aligned themselves to the ongoing injustices, not only within the “West” itself, but with their endless wars against Eurasia (from China to Turkey), South America and Africa, speaks volumes.
It also shows that their goals are more than transparent than ever despite their opaque words and political platforms. They seek to rape, rob and pillage the entire world at all costs for very short term financial market gains and those costs will be paid for by our collective tax dollars, land, resources and blood over the very long term.
The have shown themselves to find the ultra-nationalists to be their best weapon as well as useful idiots. Unfortunately, once they unleash this genie anywhere it is impossible to put her back in the bottle and they eventually make a u-turn and strike back.
They have opened Pandora’s box to hell and must be stopped at all costs. Keep in mind that their own tactics can be used against them in may ways.
They are cowards and project fear in order to protect themselves. This battle between “good and evil” will be played between the oligarchs and capitalists so they must become the cannon fodder so that they can decide for themselves if their families will ever be safe enough to enjoy the spoils of their wars.
In summary, “We the People” must effectively target the main culprits relentlessly in various ways. Call them out so that they cannot use the plausible deniability defense. Stick to the facts with a pencil sharped point and use that point to blind them…
Swiss Kid Explains Ukrainian Gold Transport By US
Published: 11-08-2014 20:03
On Jugend-TV, a website that provides a stage for juveniles to present news, 17 year old Michael from Switzerland explains how the US took the sovereign gold reserves of the Ukraine in the turmoil that erupted after president Yanukovich had resigned.

Geheimtransport Ukrainischen Goldreserven in die USA
Hello everybody, welcome to Jugend-TV. We will be discussing the secret transportation of the Ukrainian gold reserves to the USA.
As one is told every day, there is great unrest in the Ukraine. It all started when the media blamed the former president Yanukovych of mass murder. He fled because of these accusations.
The open spot was taken by a new government, but not democratically, like the former president Yankovych. The new regime simply chose itself as the new government.
A Ukrainian news station reported the following:
“The new Ukrainian regime in Kiev, which has not been democratically chosen, performed the transport of the country’s gold reserves in early March.”
At night, the reserves were flown to the USA. The gold was hastily loaded from trucks onto a plane. The trucks had no registration plates, and the men who performed the loading were dressed in black and were armed! The plane with the valuable cargo then took off from the northern runway.
The Ukraine’s gold reserves weigh in at 42.3 tonnes, and are worth 1.3 billion Euros. A leading figure of the former ministry of finance has confirmed that this transport actually took place. It all sounds very much like a crime, since the men performing the loading had to be armed, the trucks were not allowed to be recognized and the plane took off from the northern runway.
One wonders who the people in the new regime in Kiev are, and do the Ukrainian citizens really want a government that simply gives away national assets?
I believe that if the gold had been transported to the Russian capital, Moscow, there would have been a huge uproar from the mass media.
Now that the gold has been brought to the USA, nobody utters a word, and it is precisely therefore that we report on the topic, so that these things are brought to light.
Many thanks for spreading our news further! Ciao, have a good one

Continuing to print with no abandon and these 2 stupid moves the US hastened the by-pass of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency:
1. FACTA – Ask foreign financial institutions how they find it. Why do you think Americans are no longer welcomed to open/maintain accounts?

2. In putting sanctions on Iran SWIFT became an economic weapon. Within months of Iran using gold to by-pass the dollar the U.S. became Iran’s NBF (new best friend) Let’s make a deal.
Follow the money – the new economic weapon:
Mr. Putin warned — Be careful being the first to lob sanctions.
The Ukraine blowback
1.Blow to Angela Merkel as German economy bit by Russian sanctions
German investor confidence has plunged to the lowest level since December 2012, amid renewed tensions over Ukraine. A key gauge of German business confidence, the expectations component of Germany’s ZEW index, dropped to 8.6 in August, from 27.1 in the previous month, and was well below economists’ forecast of 18.2.

MOSCOW, August 12. /ITAR-TASS/.
The EU plans to hold talks with countries such as Brazil and Chile to dissuade them from stepping in to replace Europe’s banned agricultural exports to Russia, senior officials said on Monday, the Financial Times reported.
Since Russia banned food imports from the EU and the US last week in a response to sanctions, Moscow has been negotiating with Latin American countries for alternative supplies. Several countries and trade groups in South America said that Moscow’s measures could offer them a lucrative windfall.
Brazil has authorized about 90 new meat plants to immediately start exporting chicken, beef and pork to Russia, and Chile is tipped as a leading beneficiary of Russia’s embargo on European fish.
Seneri Paludo, Brazil’s Secretary for Agricultural Policy, said Russia’s embargo could also allow Brazil to export more corn and soy beans to the country. “Russia has the potential to be a large consumer of agricultural commodities, not just meat,” he said

Since CIA-Google puts CIA-Wikipedia at the top of search results anyway … why link to it and help the CIA and its child rapists and killers?
Remember even if a Wikipedia page looks ok at moment, the CIA can instantly change it the next minute, so readers will see total lies about the topics you have linked … Better to give no link at all, if you are too busy to find a genuine non-CIA, non-child-raping source

The US might have lost every war since 1945 but the bankers won every single one of ’em.
That’s the point of the AZ system including money and banking.
Fracitonal reserve banking and financialization are the biggest on-going scams in human history. Under current rules it takes less than four generations before the bankers are guaranteed to own everything.
I hope while BRICS and eveyone else is rushing headlong into the glorious capitalist future they remember that capitalism is communism is materialism is fascism is talmudism.
Exploitation and creation are two entirely different things. In the long run, Jewish ideologies always destroy production and creativity for the sake of profit. The same people, with predominantly sociopathic tendencies, always prosper disproportionately in both systems. That’s how they were designed to be from the begining.
Capitalism and marxism are fully institutionalized ideologies of top down theft — created almost entirely by refugees from the Shtetl. Until we overcome the extreme tendencies of our meta-Jewish culture we are still in a world of shit.
Thank you, Saker. Thank you for this amazing story and thanks to the Russian team for translating it.
Two things occurred to me –
1) The amazing SPEED of this development with Argentina – so there was some considerable planning and discussion going on for a while – I bet Putin had interesting conversations when he went on his tour of Latin America to end in Brazil for the World Cup. I like that lots of bright people will get to work in a variety of fields, like aerospace, nanotechnology …
2) I anticipate more lightning – fast surprises and developments.
However, you can’t dismiss the US so fast, or anticipate its downfall anytime soon – they still can grow a lot of their own food, and they make lots of arms. And have considerable experience and successes in overthrowing governments that they don’t like (Maliki, Allende, Yanukovich – installing the Shah in Iran – getting t, promoting the election of friendly parties in NZ, Australia, Canada (some unusual chicanery in the last Canadian election). So – — pretty successful.
There are also innovative technologies and ways of doing things — Tesla electric car (patents made Open Source by Elon Musk), various little tech companies which are trying to develop cheap space access like S pace-X, the new developments in 3-D printing, the Khan Academy for free online education, and so on. So – bright spots.
However, also worth noting that the US physicists who worked on CERN then started looking for jobs in Europe – no t much chance of getting hired in the US.
Long term, things do not look promosing. Sometime, the leaders in the US will wake up and say, “duh! Wha’ happen’ ?”

Nora is correct. The GOP — with the honorable exception of Ron Paul who was hated far more by his own party than the Democrats — hasn’t been ‘non-interventionist’ since Eisenhower nodded in the direction of ‘Mr. Republican’ Senator Taft of Ohio and Ike gave his ‘military industrial complex’ farewell speech. And that was after Ike had authorized the secret overthrow of the Shah of Iran, but realized the CIA was growing increasingly out of control and becoming a shadow government unto itself.
The Democrats for their part have never been a non-interventionist party — populist Westward expansion at the expense of Mexico then the First Nations has always been part and parcel of their package, as was Republican aggressive state-sponsored corporatism whereby the GOP advocated giving the railroads ‘free’ land in return for campaign contributions. The railroads of course were Lincoln’s biggest backers and behind the 1862 Homestead Act to create new markets for their goods, but Lincoln crossed the London banksters of his day by printing greenbacks even if they quickly hyperinflated under wartime conditions. The banksters used John Wilkes Boothe but had plenty of other would be assassins lined up to make sure Lincoln’s successors got the message not to mess with them, until they finally achieved their long sought after goal of full integration of the USA back into the British Empire’s banking system with the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. It’s no coincidence according to Ron Paul the century of central banking was also the century of total war whereas money had always been an impediment both to Napoleon and the British in the wars of the past and even during the Thirty Years War that devastated central Europe.
The military/intel coup of JFK’s murder clinched it and although the US publically intervened less after the Vietnam hangover the covert wars particularly in Africa and Latin America ground on through the end of the Cold War.
The ‘children’ — actually mostly teenagers — swarming over the southern border from Central America today are the children and in many cases grandchildren of people who were brutalized in the wars between Marxist guerillas and anti-Communist and in some cases fascist death squads. It’s both delayed blowback and of course a criminal conspiracy inside this government to eventually dissolve our borders and just have a NAFTAstan with an amero currency when the dollar gets flushed.
As for Russia and the BRICs stepping on the accelerator to dump the dollar — this is necessary but this dumping cannot happen without the underlying trade aka real assets changing hands and mutual co-investment. So for example Argentina invests in beef farms in Russia using Argentine-bred cattle while Russia invests in Argentina’s energy sector including oil and gas drilling in Patagonia. Only once inter-BRICS + 100 country trade reaches a saturation point can the dollar completely wither away from international trade in favor of the petroyuan or a basket of BRICs currencies and the EuroMark of Germany unshackled from the EU’s prison house of nations. It is as they say here in the USA allegedly referring to ‘democracy’ ‘a process, not an event’. As another commenter pointed out there is a strong tendency among all people in Western cultures to get too caught up in day to day events and miss the forest for the trees.
I’ve exceeded my cliche count for one day, that’s all folks.

American Kulak, if you’re still around,
Tell me more about this NAFTAstan — I was and remain utterly imposed to NAFTA et. al.,but cannot imagine that anyone in power would see it to their advantage to literally erase national boundaries: think of all the extra-added non-white voters, or people to not-take-care of. I rather think the whole purpose is to enable corporations to ignore any laws or regs impeding their quarterly profits. As I see it, DC is the battleground between four separate groups of psychopaths whose interests sometimes coincide and sometimes collide: the CIA (whose operational branch was a bunch of sick pups from the git-go and who continue to self-finance from the drug trade in the Americas, which is also a big reason for those poor children coming here), the NSA upstarts (who strike me as stupider but every bit as pathological), the Neocons (the stupidest, nastiest and most treasonous of all), and the banksters, with the greedy corporatists, MIC and otherwise, adding a little zest to the mix wherever they can. But becoming a mega-nation doesn’t really do anything for any of them, I don’t think. What am I missing here?
Oh jeesh, how the Dickens did I manage to type “imposed” for “opposed”? I guess bc I still feel the danged thing was imposed on us — it sure was obvious enough what would happen as American jobs just flew overseas at warp speed and impoverished Mexican farmers turned into seasonal migrants just to feed their starving families. Who could have predicted? Why, anyone who thought about it for a nanosecond and, you know, cared!
The hysterical American response to Russia’s proposal for a free trade zone (customs zone) across Asia might seem irrational to us. But it does reveal the unspoken truth behind Washington’s reaction; free trade and authorship of the rules governing free trade can, in the wrong hands, be a tool for the permanent underdevelopment of an economy. They are upset because to them this is a zero sum game and there can only be one winner. If Russia wins then the US/EU cannot win. How else can you explain the EU’s rejection of Russia’s call for a negotiated solution to, what was then, a mere trade dispute. Why should a simple customs union dispute cause such alarm?
What this period of human development has shown is that tying wide swaths of underdeveloped economies, rich in resources, to highly productive industrial economies, retards the normal progression of those underdeveloped economies, perhaps permanently. Maybe that was the goal, but to the degree to which the BRICS can encourage mutual regional development with each zone producing much of what they need and relying on trade for the rest, the world will be a safer, less volatile place.
If Russian agriculture takes advantage of the window provided by this newest set of sanctions, the countries that are providing Russia with agriculture today, will not be needed for that purpose tomorrow. What will they do then? Argentinian/Brazilian production will need to be reoriented to their local regions, and all of South America will have to agree some joint development plan that effectively serves the needs of the region while at the same time allowing for mutual development. i.e. A monoculture serving Russian interests is no better than a monoculture serving US/EU interests.
Not to get all Lyndon Larouche-y on you but science and technology are the drivers of human development, and belief systems are its foundation. Africa, Latin America, and Asia, are still in dire need of billions for full development of transportation, communication and other infrastructure that is the precursor to an industrial economy. Without a common development plan, this anti-Empire project will be stillborn and we will descend into a competition of all against all, scarcely better than what we have now. Perhaps worse.
@Nora,
Here is a video that was blocked from public view by ytube until very recently. Some of us worked together to try to circumvent the censors when this was mirrored back in 2011 to no avail. It appears as if the info within the video is no longer censor worthy since is now publicly available. The theory we have is that now that the new multi-billion dollar Windsor/Detroit bridge has been rammed through the video and info is no longer a threat to the neocons NAU plans.
Please note that there are 3 boxes that need to be closed in order to view the whole screen. Once again, these were added to force ytube to allow it to be viewed based upon the educational value as well as the copyright claims in addition to blocking out what seemed to be the incriminating info that prompted the censoring in the first place.
Not sure if the above attempted explanation makes sense, but in short, this is tied into some of the things mentioned in @American Kulak’s NAFTAstan comments.
@American Kulak,
Please expand upon your thoughts if possible so that others can grasp the much bigger picture you are trying to paint. We are presuming that you are referring to several aspects with the SPP and the rumoured “Amero” that would combine the USD, Peso and CDN Dollar into one single currency, eh?

Also, on a similar topic related to railroads and the late 1800’s. here is a snippet of info that is not very well known and is not even taught in Canadian schools. Keep in mind that Canada was “founded” in 1867.
“November 5, 1873 – Canada’s first Prime Minister, Conservative Sir John A. Macdonald, resigned due to allegations of bribery and corruption related to the Pacific Scandal when evidence and was revealed, by newspapers of the era, that Macdonald had received about $360,000 in election campaign funds for the 1872 federal election from railroad baron Sir Hugh Allan, who in turn for his help, was to be provided exclusive rights to build the Canadian Pacific transcontinental railroad.”

Perhaps the articles could profit from :
1. A full consideration of the Russian “financial crisis” of 1998.
2. That the weakness and one probable pathway to the demise of the model is the opponents’ need to attempt “full spectrum dominance”.
3. That the opponents are not, nor have ever consistently been homogenous.
4. That in effect the opponents have declared war on the biosphere.
5. Describing the world is one thing, but the purpose is to change it.
On the gold it is reported that in addition to the bullion, the Scythian golds artefacts were also shipped to the US courtesy of Mr. Yats in February 2014.
This is ideologically important and a resonance of pillaging the museums in Bagdhad, or the Elgin marbles, or Cleopatra’s needle.
Russia has lost too much time in a sterile collaboration with its traditional ennemies, instead of developping ties with non-western.
Russia import 65 % of all consumed goods on its market. It’s too much and more like a third world country. Russia has to devellop its productivity, especially in the industrial branch, agro-buisenes(especially bio alimentation), technologies, etc… To be a world power, it’t not enough to export gas and raw materials. Cooperation with south hemisphere countries is a good new. Now Russia should establish trade links with the african continent, perhaps in cooperation with chinese corporations.

You made some error. You picked some of the few positives, you weighted them way too highly, you assumed that uza is not alone in having these or other high points, you forgot that much of that is ceases when funds get tight, etc.
Most importantly though you “forgot” that uza *is* completely broke and just manages to keep some images alive, based on lies and threats which are more and more recognized and ridiculed.
uza’s economy is largely outsourced and or based on plundering an raping (which again is based on victims who do and can not defend – something that is right now and rapidly changing)
uza’s finances are based on betrayal, scams, fraud, extortion, and blackmailing (which … see above)
uza’s “foreign policy” is based exclusively on terror and blackmailing using their …
uza’s military is worn out, betrayed by both it’s predatory and criminal suppliers and its criminal “government” … and has shown its incapability to win any not insignificant war since decades.
In other words, uza is an all but dead terrorist.
Today Russia openly laughs about them and China takes them to be insignificant idiots. And mid-size powers like france are increasingly breaking free and opposing. Soon, not even micronesian islanders will but laugh about the uza.
Ecuador doesn’t blink, but the EU does:
Ecuador May Export Food to Russia Without EU Permission – Ecuadorian President
http://en.ria.ru/politics/20140813/191965343/Ecuador-May-Export-Food-to-Russia-Without-EU-Permission-.html
“Ecuador’s president, Rafael Correa, said his country is not going to ask for anyone’s permission to supply food to Russia, the Andes Press Agency (APA) reports.
“We don’t need anyone’s permission to sell food products to friendly countries: as far as we know, Latin America is not a part of the European Union,” Correa said as quoted by the APA.
On Monday, the Spanish El Pais newspaper wrote that the European Union is unhappy with Latin American intentions to supply Russia with the food products that now it refuses to import from Europe.
“Let us wait for an official complaint [from the European Union] and we will answer it,” Correa proposed…”

Danish Bank Says EU May Soon Lift Sanctions on Russia
http://en.ria.ru/world/20140813/191966343/Danish-Bank-Says-EU-May-Soon-Lift-Sanctions-on-Russia.html
“The European Union will lift the sanctions it has imposed on Russia over the situation in Ukraine in one to three months, according to research conducted by the Danske Bank.
“We believe an escalating trade war would be unbearable for both Russia and the EU and that the EU will revoke the sanctions within one to three months,” the bank said in a report released Tuesday, adding that Russia will also lift the trade restrictions it has imposed on Europe…”
The Russians will, eh, bankster scum? After setting up business with China and Latin America? Well, I guess the Russians could scrap the their own sanctions, and simply continue with their switch to China and Latin America (and other friendly nations) for the food items they used to get from the EU, USA and the Anglosphere.
As usual, a facet of this economic warfare being missed by most is that while Israel encouraged (more like ordered) members of the ZPC to sanction Russia, since Israel stayed officially neutral, they avoided receiving the counter sanctioning from Russia and are free to sell their own products to Russia in place of those Russia put sanctions on. That’s how Israel usually operates…

Nora,
A somewhat unified culture enables people to organize and resist the bankster dictatorship. If a country is Balkanized into many ethnic, religious, and linguistic groups, they will spend all their energy on fighting each other, and not the PTB. If the whole world looked like London, what would be the basis for resisting the oligarchical dictatorship?
The PTB do not have to care about extra non-whites being in the country. Why should they? Just more cattle that can be sent to the abattoir whenever desired. Just because those at the top may be racists or feel superior, don’t expect them to do anything nice to the average working person.
And consider history. Various European empires hauled groups all over. Chinese to Malaya; Indians to Fiji; on and on. And then put a small group in charge as the managerial class. That group will be hated and too few in number to kick out the colonial master.
I still don’t see the need for a political union in North America — getting rid of the various laws and regs of each country will get the job done quite nicely, don’t you think? So, economic union a la EU, oh yes, we’re well en route. But we’ll each have the facade of “democracy” and “self-government”, just like we have right now here in the good old US of A. I just don’t think they want anything more than that — easier transport, no customs, etc. But it’ll be a cold day in hell before our Southern border is wide open — too much money to be made on both sides from illegal drugs. And yes, both sides: you think we’re not into all that up to our Anglo eyeballs? Think again!
Yes, I think that Danske Bank are probably correct in respect of EU sanctions however I think that Russian sanctions will remain in place – in practice if not in legal terms.
My guess is that the US and EU have forced a sea change in which new markets have been opened up, new suppliers will be found and lost markets will not be regained.
My best guess is that some branded products, particularly global brands will get back in and some specialist suppliers will find a way back – after all, where else but Roquefort can one find that delicious and pungent cheese for which there is, quite genuinely no substitute. Commodity items, where the real economic hurt will be coming from – gone.
Those polish apples?
Lets just say that people in Poland will be finding new ways to use apples in their interior decoration and clothing because it will be a long time before Russians eat them again, even if the market is technically open.
Nora,
You bring up the EU, but I would say that is quite political, not simply economic. Look at the EU’s struggle against Russia: It is political more than economic.
As it stands, Mexico could easily fall into an anti-American mode. And it is not like Harper is actually popular. Why take the chance if you a member of the power elite? Now compare that with the EU? What can a citizen in Europe do about that?
Paul II,
The EU is primarily an economic union foisted upon the various countries who, as a result, have no say in what is done — precisely bc their own nations have no right to contradict any of the laws and regulations over their own economies. And yes, it was deliberately set up to do that: hence Greece, Spain, etc. Could I see that happening here? Why yes, yes I do. The various countries in Europe can still elect their own leaders for domestic issues, though they’ve got much the same problems we do in terms of getting decent leaders. But they have no say in the EU’s economic policies bc they don’t elect THOSE representatives — it’s a perfect system for corporate fascist control. Russia’s food embargo may split it wide open though — if we’re lucky.
Thousands of Argentinians rally to support Kirchner’s default on US debt
http://rt.com/in-motion/180076-argentina-hedge-funds-default/
“Over 10,000 Argentines rallied in Buenos Aires on Tuesday to support President Christine Kirchner’s refusal to pay back US hedge funds. Argentina defaulted on $13 billion of debt on July 30 after negotiations broke down with creditors. The default is the product of a disagreement on how Argentina restructured its debt in the wake of its 2001 default. Argentina’s government is in search of legal recourse through US courts in a bid to find a diplomatic solution.”

Things that make ya go hmmm. Funny how the author of this article seems to think that the Prez has any authority or control over the privately owned Fed. There are some interesting facts/stats/spins within this “article” but here are a few snippets that should alarm anyone and everyone. Where’s Andrew Jackson and Thomas Jefferson when ya need ’em..
“At year-end 2013, America’s debt totaled $56 trillion, up 8 percent from $51.8 trillion at year-end 2008. This towering level hurts us less than it should because our central bank has been able to keep U.S. dollar-based interest rates artificially low.”
“While U.S. regulators and legislators roundly criticize 11 large American banks for their failure to plan adequately for looming disaster scenarios, America’s largest financial institution, the Federal Reserve System, seems the most vulnerable.”
“Does the Fed have a large enough cushion to absorb inevitable losses when U.S. dollar-based interest rates get forced upwards?
According to the Fed’s 2013 Annual Report, the combined balance sheets of the Federal Reserve Banks had total assets of more than $4 billion and total capital of only $55 billion on Dec. 31.
As any experienced analyst will tell you, a low ratio of capital compared to assets is risky. In the case of the Fed, a 1.4 percent decline in the stated value of its assets would erase its recorded capital, rendering it technically insolvent.”
“One way to inject $1.0 trillion into the Fed
According to a Congressional Research Service report, titled “Federal Land Ownership: Overview and Data,” the government recently owned 628.8 million acres or 28 percent of nearly 2.3 million acres inside America’s 50 states.
Unless these lands are already pledged to support America’s government debt obligations (a condition that should be explained in full, if true), the president should be able to craft a plan to direct some portion of their realizable value as new capital into the Fed.”
