Dear friends,
This is an exceptionally interesting video which I have asked my brother in arms Tatzhit Mihailovich to subtitle it for you: a Crimean Tatar imam is interviewed by a Russian Orthodox TV channel about his role in the anti-Nazi resistance of the Donbass and about his views on Islam and Russia. Great stuff!
Enjoy and a big THANK YOU to Tatzhit!

“Enjoy and a big THANK YOU to Tatzhit!”
I echo that.
The Imam is a very decent man and it is very good information from ‘boots on the ground’.
His Excellency Vladimir Putin put out the fire in Crimea now he is putting out the fire in Syria.

This man will put out the fire in the Ukraine!
This is why I left Australia never to return.

They can dump Abbot, but cannot rid themselves of what all the post Gough Whitlam gubbermints dumped on them!
A hot day in 1975: in a lift from a guy in Sydney on his way to Parramatta, he said to me “in 20 years this country will be so right wing”……. he was spot on!
Fast forward to 1997: Little Johnny Howard,”we have promises; and we have core promises!”.
“We also have deeming rules! and extended deeming rules!”.
At 1% interest rates on any savings they…. “deemed you to be receiving interest at 5%-10%”.
Reducing ones benefits accordingly and of course all the blue rinses in Vaucluse loved little Johnny. et. al.
Tatzhit, you rock! Thanks so much for this interview.
The depth of character and intelligence of the militiaman from Crimea is stunning.
Excellent piece of historical recording.
Genocide is what they fight against.
The Devil is their enemy.
The unity of two religions is so eloquently exposed in this video, it defies any possible misinterpretation or distortion. Muslims and Christians are on the same side against Evil.
Lovely interview of a Principled Revolutionary.
On the other side of the coin:
The Zionist American mouthpiece, the NYT, published a panicked concession to the great Moral Success of the Russian counter-offensive in Syria against the Zionist-American-Anglo-French terrorists.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/05/world/middleeast/us-aims-to-put-more-pressure-on-isis-in-syria.html?ref=todayspaper
The article and its title raise the question of- why it is necessary for the Jewish owned US to put “more pressure” on ISIS, if they (the Jewish owned US), have already have spent $Billions and performed hundreds, if not thousands, of bombing sorties against their (the ISIS terrorist), military positions?
1. How can a small portion of the Russian Air Force do more damage in 4 days to these Zionist -Nazi- American -Anglo-French- and Turkish terrorists, than the entire Zionist American Air Armada in one year?
2. Place the obvious answer here………… Hint:- The Terrorists are-They (remember the pronoun lesson).
The fight is not over, but those Russians and the Imam are just what the doctor ordered.
There are those, (all ‘brilliant’ analysts and austere professors of something, none of them anarchists), who will insist that 1. the Russian rescue of the Arab peoples, and 2. their championing of their own flesh and blood Russian Nation in Novorossiya, Crimea, and throughout the rest of East and South Europe is the result of behind the scene give and take deals with the imperialists.
The truth is to the contrary; it is the consistent refusal of the world Zionist American Anglo imperialists to make any political deals that the Russians can rely on (such as the imperialist Oligarchs reneging on their promises not to expand NATO after the dismantling of the USSR), that have forced the above Survivalist actions upon the Russian nation.
Neither the present Russian leaders, nor the Chinese, act with Revolutionary Vision. That vision died with the 20th Century triumph of the Stalinist bureaucracy, in combination with the death of the romantic optimism of the 19th Century. The imperialists remained constant; imperialists. Orwell’s “1984” remains the finest explanation of this century’s political reality.
It is up to us to revive the VISION. That IMAM is not far from it. The Russians might even stumble on it.
For the Democratic Republics!
For the Restoration of and the Independence of the American Republic!

Oh, Mr. Antonov, the Russians are “getting” it:

Terenam 13,
Thanks for the link.
Antonov is a nice last name, although it is not mine.
The victims of all totalitarian repression must be remembered. The Imperialists tend to understate their own repressive crimes and the numbers of their victims.
Solzhenitsyn, wrote that the Trotskyists and Luxemburgists were among the first waves of victims to fill the prisons of the Gulag. At the same time, the Anarchists were also rounded up. Later, followed millions more victims. In today’s Russia the Gulag is (happily) but a sad memory.
However; Now, the greatest Gulag (on the planet), is within the USA, where 3 million prisoners rot away; more than half a million of these prisoners work as Slave Laborers.
Now, the world’s most famous political refugee, Edward Snowden, enjoys asylum in Russia.
In -The Communist Manifesto- Marx wrote that “The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims.” Well, we should also disdain to conceal our views and aims.
We aim high.
With the VISION.
For the Democratic Republics!

So Peter, you , I take it, are not a Stalinist ? What do you say to the people that are, that write on this blog ? I’m a Canadian and I honestly don’t know what to think about the Stalin era, although I think or rather believe that Stalin was not nearly as bad as he was demonized to be.
but I know Saker has not much good to say about those days of Stalin ? what do you say ?
A discussion of this is here:

Lotsa wailing & self-righteous gnashing of teeth over not the event, but the way 2 of the “leading media icons” are mis-reporting it!
In the wake of the horrific US airstrike on a Doctors Without Borders hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, two of America’s most reputable news sources have repeatedly refused to blame the Pentagon for the attack. Those editorial decisions have complicated a story already intentionally muddled by the US military.
On Monday, the US government formally acknowledged that it was an American airstrike that left 22 civilians dead in a hospital on Saturday. Pentagon officials are now trying to pin the blame on the Afghan government, but nevertheless, they have admitted what has been widely known since the bombing occurred – it was, inarguably, a US airstrike.
http://sputniknews.com/us/20151005/1028068921/US-Obscures-Afghan-Hospital-Bombing.html
Yes,they say the Afghans asked them for the airstrike.Maybe so,but did they ask for the airstrike on “the hospital”,doubtful. They more than likely asked for an airstrike on “Taliban positions”.The US knew where the hospital was located. And they were told during the strike they were hitting the hospital, and didn’t stop for 30 minutes afterwards. They don’t get to cry,and try to blame that on the Afghans. They are “big boys” they knew what they were doing. The “dog ate my homework” excuse isn’t acceptable to me (of course I don’t doubt its good enough for the “collateral damage” MSM).
Gheezsh…was the whole friggin’ thing a mistake ? Afghan hospital I mean.
I would think along the lines of “uncaring carelessness”.
must be intentionally to setup to fail—is not Northern Syria the obvious next point of push to clean out ISIS?
Brussels (AFP) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and top EU officials discussed a plan to tackle the spiralling migrant crisis during talks in Brussels Monday, including a “safe zone” in northern Syria.
The European Union pushed Erdogan to do more to stop the flow of hundreds of thousands of refugees who have landed on Europe’s shores from Turkey in the worst crisis of its kind since World War II.

Valparaíso (Chile) (AFP) – US Secretary of State John Kerry warned Monday that a Russian warplane’s “incursion” into the air space of Washington’s NATO ally Turkey risked provoking a serious escalation.
“We’re greatly concerned about it because it is precisely the kind of thing that had Turkey responded under its rights could have resulted in a shoot-down,” he said, at a public event in Chile.

The bombing in Syria by Russia highlighted in the starkest terms the difference between President Obama and President Putin on Syria.
Both Russia and America agree ISIS has to be destroyed. President Obama’s view on Syria: President Assad should be removed and a “managed transition” should occur to allow a new democratic Syria. President Putin feels Assad should be supported. He highlighted in his speech at the UN assembly, that it would be an “enormous mistake” to try removing Assad. Putin believes strongly, that Assad represents the “legitimate government of Syria”. Moreover, President Putin turned his words into action when he attacked rebel groups aligned against Assad and simultaneously bombed ISIS.
Very, very, powerful interview (I hope he survives,a great man). Here is an Imam,a Tatar,an a Russian patriot and hero. And he is saying “exactly” what some here have been saying all along. That the Minsk agreement was bad. That the only victory is military one(or a counter coup inside Ukraine). And that traitors inside Russia are harming Russia (and he named some of them). He is the type of Russian Muslim that Russia so needs. One that is both a Muslim that loves Russia and works for/with all her people Christian and Muslim. And is a Russian Tatar patriot. Those are the type of Muslim Russians that should be in power among the Russian Muslims. Not those who he mentioned that are ready to betray Russia when it serves their own interests.People should hear, and more importantly,”understand” what he was saying.

I Reddit on Pravda, so it’s gotta be true.
John McCain, the chairman of the Military Committee of the US Senate, wants ISIS terrorists to be armed with anti-aircraft weapons to shoot Russian aircraft down, EntryNews.com reports with reference to Fox News.
During the recent days, the Russian Air Force has attacked multiple targets of ISIS terrorists in Syria. In an interview with Fox News, McCain, shared his view on how the US should handle with Russian war planes in Syria.
“I would do as we did in Afghanistan many years ago and give the guys the opportunity to shoot down those planes,” McCain said.

The Alliance between Muslims and Orthodox Christians is coming, and it is an inevitable natural process that will counter the corrupt and evil Zionist-NATO-Western alliance.
More and more Orthodox Christians (Serbs, Greeks, Russians, etc.) and Muslims (Sunni, Shia, from Morocco to China/Indonesia) are finding out and will find out in the future what is the real truth behind the evil Western-Zionist alliance………The numbers will increase and truth will be more clear to those who seek the truth with a sincere heart and mind.
I personally know many Muslims who are realizing who they’re real allies are or will become.
People are seeing the truth being unveiled in-front of their eyes.
An alliance of Muslims and Orthodox Christians will be an absolute force to be reckoned with, and a form of unity for peace, moderation, prosperity and respect.
I sure looking forward to when that happens, down with the hypocrisy of the zio western world. The gesture of Mr putin for opening that grand mosque will win many many muslims heart and trust and will know who their friends are.
Tanai – a name to remember.
A really great guy. Totally secure in his identity – at every level, national (Russian), religious (Muslim) and moral (protect the vulnerable). I wonder is it because the Tatars are so deeply embedded in Russian soil and history? So why do others not have the same understanding? Why this obsession with the fundamentally alien (to Russia anyway) Caliphate?
Also found it pretty telling the way he distinguishes between ‘|suits’ (clean – probably dry) and ‘uniforms’ (dirty – no washing-machines, much less dry-cleaners in the trenches.) I don’t get the impression he rates Surkov much (I know very little about him, but I consider him elitist and remote.) I suspect he rates very few of the ‘suits’ who are not dealing with the everyday reality of life under siege, and that his disdain is not particularly political, but practical. It’s the fundamentals that they are fighting for – family, land and spirit.
Thanks so much for the translation Tatzhit, really worthwhile.
This is the kind of Russian the RF needs.
That is an excellent interview and worth watching. The suffering people there deserve better than to be negotiated over, they need to be defended from the fascists and the west. The whole east side of present Ukraine territory, from the big river east, looks like a defensible territory and probably has potential for an independent state. If Russia recognizes an independent state, and ceases to recognize the government of Ukraine as legitimate (and that is how it should be, given that not a word the Ukraine government says can be believed), it can defend the new state. Then General Gerasimov (as “Jack” says above) can do for that land what his forces are doing for Syria. In for a penny, in for a pound! Because it doesn’t seem that any political deal will bring Ukraine together again now, unless the Earth opens up and swallows all the fascists. Then the western empire can send up John McCain and General Strangelove to stamp their feet and speak some militaristic nonsense. I think the imam has it right, this war is between good and evil (or personified, between the Lord and the Devil). If Christianity is about “widows and orphans”, or more broadly “women and children”, and the imam sees the war as being about defending families, then it seems that Russian Islam and Christianity are really not far apart, as the Saker has said before. Which brings up the question, what kind of preaching is allowed to go on inside the mosques? If it goes beyond supporting a harmonious family, maybe a harmonious neighborhood . . . then the “Devil” will find space to speak in political words, unfortunately.

WASHINGTON —
Having hammered out an ambitious trade deal with 11 Pacific Rim countries, the Obama administration now faces a potentially tougher task: selling the deal to a skeptical Congress.
The countries reached a contentious trade pact Monday that cuts trade barriers, sets labor and environmental standards and protects multinational corporations’ intellectual property after marathon negotiating sessions in Atlanta through the weekend.
Under Jewish-controlled Soviet government, the genocide of Muslim reached to its peak. Crimean Tatars suffered from Joseph Stalin’s economic and political policies. Crimean Tatars had their first Nakba began in 1929-1931 when thousands of Crimean Tatars were deported to Northern Russia and the Urals. The forced collectivization of agriculture in the Crimea devastated the vineyards, orchards, and farms of the Crimean Tatars. This devastation contributed greatly to the 1932-1933 famine in the region. As the 1930s progressed Stalin began to curtail the cultural autonomy of the Crimean Tatars and persecute their intelligentsia. During 1937 and 1938, the Stalin’s Jewish dominated regime, executed a large number of Crimean Tatar intellectuals.
The Nakba of the Crimean Muslim Tatars began in 1944, when the Red Army drove the Germans out of the lush and beautiful Crimean peninsula. After establishing control, the Russians began to load the natives onto trains and deport them to Central Asia. They accused the Tatars of collaborating with the Nazi enemy, though among them there were many brave and distinguished soldiers who had fought on the Russian side against the Nazis. The Soviets dealt with them as arbitrarily as did the Americans with their own native tribes: some two hundred thousand people, 15 or 20 per cent of the total Crimean population, were declared ‘hostile traitors’ and shipped away.

Very pleased with this interview. Thank you.
Just a clarification for those who may not be familiar with the title of Imam. At the 15th second, the subtitle interpreted “Imam” as a Muslim Priest. Imam is simply the title given to anyone who assumes a leadership position in the context of worship, an Imam leads the prayers as he may the best qualified within a group of people and who can properly recite part the Qur’an during the 5 prayers. As brother Tanai Chilhanov explained (24th minutes) the people in his group (in the trenches) asked him to be their Imam and lead the prayers. If a simple soldier is recognized for his exemplary knowledge of the theory and practice of ad-dín (religion) he would be elected by the rest of the regiment, including his high ranking officers to be the Imam. Unlike a Christian Priest, an Imam has no spiritual or sacerdotal authority as there is no Clergy in Islam. Thanks for reading.
well, its a great video and nice men….but I wonder what the date is ? Its seems a bit old…even two weeks is a long time for this war…I thought the Poroshenko forces were done and lost.
I guess he doesn’t like the diplomacy of Putin…at least that’s what I’m getting from this at 21:51
I guess this guy likes Egypt…I’m learning alot about things from this interview…I’m sure he likes Putin but doesn’t like it when Putin and Lavrov call the bad guys “partners”…something like that anyway.
It may be that he wasn’t talking about Putin at all, but some other politicians…and the Giant Turban wearing, council of Muftiis…but was Putin aiding them with that big mosque ?
Dear The Saker and Tatzhit Mihailovich,
Thank you for the interview and for subtitling. It is a must watch and really brings back home how hopeless it must feel for the people of Donbass and its supporters sitting there with these Minsk Agreements and all the suffering going on whilst the UN and OSCE does absolutely nothing about the food situation and war crimes.
What worried me was the last part of the interview where he talked about the Council of Muftis and some of the people they support. Russia must realise that its the preaching inside some mosques against Russia that is one of the main problems. What are they going to do about this situation? Esp. if the Council is supporting such people? This evil Wahbbism is destroying Islam from within.
A really decent, honest principled man. God protect him.

“KIEV, October 6. /TASS/. Unidentified attackers have damaged the tower of a Ukrainian electricity transmission line feeding power to Crimea, a senior police spokesman wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
Ilya Kiva, deputy head of police in the southern Kherson region, said investigators and Emergencies Ministry specialists were at the site, cordoned off after the attack overnight to Tuesday.
The line assault follows a warning by supporters of former Crimean Deputy Prime Minister Lenur Islyamov and Ukrainian parliament members Mustafa Dzhemilev and Refat Chubarov on September 20 that a Crimean food blockade would disrupt free passage of trucks carrying supplies. This was supported by extremist group Right Sector, outlawed in Russia.
Chubarov also told journalists that electricity supply to the peninsula could soon be at risk, noting this could happen in October.”
Time for Rus to break off all subsidies and agreements and diplomatic arrangements with Ukr?
