The genesis of the yellow vests
Back to French presidential election in 2002, second round, Chirac won against Le Pen (father) 82% vs 18%, same scenario in 2017, second round, Macron won against Le Pen (daughter) 55% versus 34%
Just after the presidential election comes the choice for the legislative assembly. In 2002, after Chirac’s victory, his political party, UMP, won 356 seats (62%), while Le Pen’s (father) party (Front National) got nothing, not a single representative. In 2017, after Macron’s success, his totally new party, out of thin air, LREM, who did not even exist in previous elections, won 308 seats (53%) and Le Pen’s (daughter) party won 8 seats (1,3%).
So in the first round of 2002, with 20% of voters in the presidential election, Chirac’s party obtained 62% of the parliament, while Le Pen, with 17% of the voters was not represented.
The same outcome occurred in 2017. Macron with 24% of voters in the first round obtained 53% of the parliament, while Le Pen, with 21% had only 1.3% representatives for his party in parliament.
Basically, in France, one citizen in three has no political existence.
These people are now in the street with a massive support of the rest of the population.
Why this brand “yellow vest” ?
This vest is worn by working class people acting in a dangerous environment. The yellow color makes the person more visible, you can interpret this fact in a symbolic way, meaning politically visible.
Formerly, that sort of vest was used by servants in the upper class.
On december 3, the french media Le Figaro published an article entitled
“The great comeback of servants in french society”
The Yellow vest movement is a reaction against such an historical regression
Who are these people
Just have a look to that video report
The chronology of the “acts” and the political evolution of the movement
Two hundred years ago the yellow vests’ ancestors went as far as beheading their own king. Since then, France is well known for being a country of strikes and demonstrations, often unfruitful.
But this one seems to be « the right one », the one that will bring effective changes. This movement seems to have reached a level of maturity lacking in previous events. Today, every age is affected, from students to retired people, every class, from unemployed to small businessmen. We can observe much more women participating too. The movement started, as usual, with financial claims but soon turned to political claims, demanding more political decision-making power to be given to the population through the use of extensive referendums. Another characteristic of this movement is that it is genuinely popular, not partisan, and refuses to have any political party officially join it, showing its full distrust in all the traditional political apparatus. It does not want leaders and just allows some “porte paroles” to speak in its name.
Therefore, every Saturday to allow the employed to participate, the French wear their yellow vest – the one they are obliged to keep in their car and use in case of breakdowns – and gather in city streets, on highways tolls, on countryside “ronds-points” [crossroads]. They are not only gathering in Paris, as mainstream medias would like to make their readers believe, but in every major city or town, all around France and particularly in remote parts of the country where the government is closing schools, hospitals and public services because they are unable to make profit on it, as if they were built on tax payer’s money to make short term profit and not to educate and tend to the population in the long term.
The French are in the streets to show that they are fed up with the present system, whose dire results have been apparent since the 80’s. The short “Macron démission” slogan [Macron resign] has to be understood as a sign of a population fed up of politicians who make new promises every election that are not only broken, but instead the exact opposite is implemented, anti-social laws voted quietly at night, international accords signed without popular consultation, etc. One example among many others: during his election campaign Macron promised not to touch pensions but one of his first decisions has been to raise taxes for the retired. He must have thought that the elderly does not join protests, but actually…
Although the French government, and the mainstream medias, have done all it takes to lessen the movement, we are now at « act 5 » of the movement, meaning the 5th Saturday of the Yellow vests’ protests and the momentum is still strong. The first Saturday the government did not expect such a wide protest, especially its spread throughout the country where the local media genuinely reported about it. The government mistakenly ignored the success of the protest thinking that it will, as the previous ones have, quickly fade. The 2nd act brought more people to the streets – numbers ran from 106.301 following the government’s so precise estimate to 500.000 – but then the police and the media were more prepared and made a show by blocking the protesters on the Champs Elysées, in front of the cameras, pushing them to the brink of violence, displaying on TV how the so called “pacific protesters” are in fact just a bunch of thugs acting for themselves and not for the sake of the nation. But, in their strategy, they forgot that smartphones can record the police mischiefs, making them viral on social media, as it showed that the violence came from the police and the government, and not from the protesters. After the 2nd act, 70% of the population continued to support the movement.
For the 3rd and 4th acts, the government decided to change its strategy by trying to forbid the protesters to reach the gathering points. Over a thousand individuals arrested, multiple subway lines closed, protesters wanting to reach Paris forbidden to access the train or blocked on the roads, the protesters in the capital city split into small groups by the police and forbidden to reach their destination. The media took this opportunity to talk about a lack of dynamic in the movement, a decline in protestors due to the population starting to get tired about it. Then Macron gave a speech that could be compared to one of a drama student imitating compassion. He promises to raise the minimum wage by 100 euros. “This is for you, poor guys, poor single mothers, and now go back home”. Two days later, a “lone wolf terrorist” launched a mass shooting in the middle of a popular Christmas market killing 2 people and injuring several others. Immediately the media titled: “The yellow vests give great opportunities to terrorists”. Too bad for the movement’s popularity.
For the 5th act, it seems like the things are steadying. The government is still doing its best to downsize the number of participants. Medias are doing their best to demonize it but still prefer to avoid speaking about the matter. Even the social media seem to have quiet down about the subject (algorithmic censorship?). There was less violence. The prime minister publicly recognized the governments mistakes and promised to hold a national discussion about the political aspects of the claims, especially the “Référendum d’Initiative Citoyenne” [Referendum hold on request of the citizens], the central political claim that could give power back to the citizens. Christmas and the New Year are nearing and we can expect a kind of pause, or at least a decline during that period, in order to spend the holidays among family. As soon as January starts, the government will have to show its seriousness about political talks. If it is not the case, you can expect a stronger yellow vests insurgency.
Conclusion
IMO, the movement has already resulted in several benefits:
- The government has understood that it cannot take the population for a fool anymore, a bad habit that was really visible with Macron’s attitude and even more with the way he managed the first three weeks of the movement.
- The French have regained confidence in their power as a population and will not hesitate to use it again
- The RIC, the Référendum d’Initiative Citoyenne. That long promised but never voted system that could give back big shares of sovereignty to the population thanks to referendums that can dismiss unpopular government or ministers, cancel laws that are considered not good for the nation, or change details of the constitution.
The ball is now in the government’s court. Let’s see how it will react in January.

One lesson from history. The French know how to do Revolution.
The US Revolution was a rebellion more than a Revolution. And so, the oligarchs, plutocrats control the government and the people are bamboozled by Middle Class status. They are as indentured and feudalized as any serfs or economic credit slaves.
The French go for the throat (the head, per guillotine).
And they may be building to such another outcome. Thus, the fascistic response by police and other security forces against the yellow jackets.
The People in yellow jackets may be the Archimedes lever that lifts the yoke of the EU and US hegemony from the nation of France. At the least, they have crippled Macron’s trajectory. The powers that be will eject the mini King soon.
The damage done by multiculturalism and vulture capitalism to French society and culture is enormous, and this reaction is wholly justified.
It has peeled back the camouflage that hid the tyranny. Everything is now exposed.
The Americans should follow suit. You cannot vote out a Tyranny. You must force it to run for its life.
Where can we get some of those vest?
Try Amazon : https://www.amazon.fr/s/ref=sr_nr_n_7?fst=as%3Aoff&rh=n%3A2429700031%2Ck%3Aveste+jaune+securite&keywords=veste+jaune+securite&ie=UTF8&qid=1546072113&rnid=1703605031&ajr=0
(Amazon increased the price of the basic yellow vest by 2 euros since the start of the riots)
In France it is mandatory by law to have such vests in each car.
So the current joke: when police searches your car, if you have not a vest you are fined; if you have one you are jailed.
Vest for safety . Flares as well for breakdowns and football matches :-)
Go to any outdoor or sporting goods or work uniform or hardware store. They should be readily available. Just do some digging. I have one when I ride my bicycle at night.
@Larchmonter… While there were certainly social movements as shown by Ben Franklin’s Poor Richard’s Almanac and Tom Paine’s Common Sense, the population was decidedly ambivalent. My study shows a third favored severing relations with England, a third favored maintaining and a third neutral….
However, many conscripts to the Continental Army were either forced to join or attempted to mutiny since food and clothing was poor.
The real motivation for the ‘Revolution’ was because:
1. England was on the verge of outlawing slavery, which Washington and his ilk were deathly afraid would cut into their profits.
2. The treaty with France ending the French and Indian War made a border which England could not cross. The expansionist slave and capitalist classes wanted to expand into French held territory, and could not as long as the American colonists were bound by that treaty.
3. Profits in the form of taxes went back to England, as is usual of colonial regimes. The rising slave holder/merchant class, wanted to divert those profits back to themselves.
So they paid the poor working class and farmers with Continental dollars which subsequently lost 90% of their value. Thus the rich soaked the poor, got them to fight their war for them for 10 cents on the dollar. And then, without telling them, secretly decided to redeem at full value for the new American dollar. Paid for by a whiskey tax paid by the farmers and workers themselves.
Plus, only males with property could vote. So they disenfranchised the very people who fought, thinking they were fighting for ‘no taxation without representation’.
And that was just the beginning of what happened subsequently with results we see in our currently totally dysfunctional and unjust and bogus political system
Yes, it is terrible what Washington and Hamilton (THE most staunch anti-slavery Founder) pulled off, sh37.
And then they somehow brainwashed millions of ignorant zombies from all over Europe to leave their homes and build new lives and a nation out of the wilderness.
Or…..just maybe…… the word (“It’s better here.”) got around, and crossed the Atlantic, and other relatives and friends came over??
I think everything is relative (“Compared to WHAT? Compared to where? Compared to when? Compared to whom?”) and the painter who paints with too broad a brush omits too many significant details and shades of light from decade to decade and century to century in feeling the NWO darkening of the last few decades…that you paint….so well!
The question is: Can it be changed, improved now??
Excellent, Bro. Excellent!
French Revolution marked the demise of the Ancient Regime and the seizure of power by the bourgeoisie. The advent of capitalism in England, Germany, the United States and Japan – or for that matter in France – did not seem to have very much to do with a revolution that actually retarded the development of French economy. But they infiltrated Jacobins, let the Robespierre to rise in power, doing the most dirty job executing up to 800 potential competitors per day. Robespierre was arrested and executed, as were many of his fellow Jacobins, thereby ending the Reign of Terror, which was succeeded by the Thermidorian Reaction. After the killing of Robespierre, they blamed him for all the mess, but still they had more things to do. If the French bourgeoisie seized the power in 1789 they did not seem very good at holding on it since they had to do the job all over again in 1830.
Thermidorian Reaction, in the French Revolution, the parliamentary revolt initiated on 9 Thermidor, year II (July 27, 1794), which resulted in the fall of Maximilien Robespierre and the collapse of revolutionary fervor and the Reign of Terror in France.
By June 1794 France had become fully weary of the mounting executions (1,300 in June alone), and Paris was alive with rumors of plots against Robespierre, member of the ruling Committee of Public Safety and leading advocate of the Terror. On 8 Thermidor (July 26) he gave a speech full of appeals and threats. The next day, the deputies in the National Convention shouted him down and decreed his arrest. He was arrested at the Hôtel de Ville, along with his brother Augustin, François Hanriot, Georges Couthon, and Louis de Saint-Just. The same guillotine that on 9 Thermidor executed 45 anti-Robespierrists executed, in the following three days, 104 Robespierrists, inaugurating a brief “White Terror” against Jacobins throughout France.
The coup was primarily a reassertion of the rights of the National Convention against the Committee of Public Safety and of the nation against the Paris Commune. It was followed by the disarming of the committee, the emptying of the prisons, and the purging of Jacobin clubs. Social and political life became freer, more extravagant, and more personally corrupt. There was a splurge of fashion and a conspicuous consumption of bourgeois wealth, while the poor suffered from harsh economic conditions.

Yes, the American “revolution” was more of a rebellion than a real revolution, According to conservative historians, only 7 % of Americans joined Washington. However, the French Revolution of 1789 was a copy of the American “revolution”, as both were financed by the Rothschilds banking family. The revolution in France in 1789 was provoked when grain shipments to Paris were blocked. The revolution arrives and grain shipments to the city magically reappear..
France has been a happy hunting ground for the Rothschilds, with French society provoding ample opportunities. When England was introducing the first industrial revolution in the 18th century, the chief question in France was if the aristocracy should pay taxes. The Rotschilds served them with a revolution, after which French finances passed from the control of the aristocracy to the control of private banks, as intended.
Who is Macron ? A Rothschilds banker. Remarkable that he got elected at all, bearing in mind he is more concerned with the EU than with France and stating that nationalism is not patriotic, or words to that effect. On the other hand, did he really get elected ? Millions of votes were stolen from Le Pen. The evidence was on the Internet. He probably won by a narrow margin. This means that France is divided, a very dangerous political situation, which can lead to civil war.
Finally, the question which needs to be asked is who is controlling the yellow vests. The Rothschilds control Macron. Do they also control the yellow vests, using popular discontent to destabilize and weaken France. Time will tell.
I’m impressed by your rationality. Your logic based on Critical Thinking (Analysis and Synthesis), it is your ability that turns premises into conclusions.
When the leaders become conscious of mass psychology and take it into their own hands, it ceases to exist in a certain sense. They completely believe in their leader. They do not really identify themselves with him but act this identification, perform their own enthusiasm, and thus participate in their leader’s performance.
Sigmund Freud’s crowd behavior theory primarily consists of the idea that becoming a member of a crowd serves to unlock the unconscious mind. This occurs because the super-ego, or moral center of consciousness, is displaced by the larger crowd, to be replaced by a charismatic crowd leader.
While we may know who the leaders are, the question is “who is controlling the leaders”?
“Whoever controls the money supply controls the world. Governments are only illusions.” – Rothschild.

It all goes back to the year 1066. The Duke of Normandy wanted the English crown. He assembled an army of some 10.000 mercenaries and built a fleet for the invasion. Historians never explained how a duke found the money to fight a king. The answer was simple. Zionists (Khazars) from Rouen gave him the money, on condition they became tax collectors in England after the invasion. The Duke of Normandy accepted the offer. England is conquered and Zionists became tax collectors, building up a fortune. After that we arrive to the 13th century, when King Edward Ist, known as Longshanks, was fighting both the French and the Scots. Of course, he had huge financial difficulties. The Zionists (Khazars) step in again, offering him money on condition he did what they told him, ie. they demanded that he become their political pawn. The infuriated Edward Ist sent them to the Tower of London, where he had them executed for treason. All the Zionists (Khazars) were expelled from England. They of course seek revenge. They got it in the 17th century, when they provoked the English civil war. Their agent, Oliver Cromwell, started it, financed by Zionist bankers from Holland. The English king is executed in retaliation for what Edward Ist did. After that the English monarchy was placed under Zionist influence. The Zionists always wanted Britain, a floating island fortress, to be used for imperial conquest.
The next step is the American “revolution”. The Zionist agent was George Washington, a freemason in Rothschils pay. Until 1776 the American colonies were under the control of the Crown. After that they changed masters and were placed under Rotschilds control. Who controls the US Federal Reserve, a private bank ?
After that we have the French “revolution”, provoked by French freemasons. The French king is, of course, executed, as are numerous people, including 700.000 in the Vendee region.
The next step are “revolutions” of 1830 and 1848, leading to the Russian “revolution”, led by freemasons Lenin and Trotsky. Lenin is brought from Switzerland while Trotsky from New York City. The Russian Tzar and his entire family are butchered. Millions of Russians perish.
What do we have today ? A partnership between the Rothschilds City of London and the US Federal Reserve. The City of London is an independent state inside England, outside the jurisdiction of the British Parliament, while the US Fed is Rotschilds controlled. This US central bank is in private hands, contrary to the US Constitution.
What is the chief obstacle for the creation of a globalist, Rothschilds banking empire ? Russia and China, which explains the current animosity towards both countries. The Rothschilds financed Napoleon for his 1812 invasion of Russia. He failed. They financed both world wars as well as the Russian “revolution”. The chief target was Russia and it’s intended break up. The attempts failed. We now have NATO, which has been given the exact task. It too will fail.
Finally, the Zionist created EU (based on the US Federation) will also fail. However, before it does, it will have caused immense damage to sovereign European states, bleeding them financially, as well as causing immense social and ethnic destruction. Europe is flooded with false “refugees”, who have been given the task of a political, eonomic, financial, social and ethnic Trojan Horse, it’s chief task being the destruction of sovereign European states and giving Brussels dictatorial powers. The EU Central Bank is in the hands of private bankers. Those who advocate multicultural societies know that they cannot work. The latest news is that Sweden is facing a civil war. I am afraid that Western Europe is probably doomed, being reverted back to the Dark Ages of barbarism. What will remain of Europe as we know it will be Russia and some East European countries. Not a pretty picture I am afraid.
Excellent take on the revolutions, although you missed the Russian in 1905, February 1917, and the final in October 1917. All done by the same gang.
Ah, we need to mention the Jacobin role in French revolution:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacobin
Does this remind us of anything happening in the World today?
Anonius
Yes, I missed the 1905 Russian “revolution”. That one failed. It was instigated to prevent the Japanese defeat at Port Arthur. As you know, Japan attacked Russia. The Russian Army performed well. The machine gun was used en masse for the first time, something the Japanese did not expect. They took Port Arthur, but at huge cost, being decimated. The Russian Army retreated, regrouped and was preparing for a counter attack. The globalists knew it would have been crushed. They provoked a “revolution”, which stopped a counter attack. I also missed Kerensky and the February “revolution” of 1917, but I did include the October one, which unfortunately succeeded.
Yes, this does remind us of what is happening in the world today. As that Roman writer stated, a single spy inside the gates of Rome is more dangerous than an invading army outside the gates of Rome. George Soros and his banker pals know this. It is not for nothing that The Times elected him Person of the Year. As you can see, the globalists even advertise their subversive methods.
Well said. The revolution of 1789 was as “French” as the “Russian” Revolution.
Flopot
That is correct. In Russia 80 % of communist commisars were Zionists who hated everything that was Russian. During the French “revolution”, some 700.000 Frenchmen were exterminated in the Vendee region, as they supported the King. This fact is left out of the history books.
I would not reference the 1789 revolution if I were you, Larch. The main victims were peasants and clergy; the winners were the financiers.
As long as all you folks realize that the welfare western nations are bust, broke, banana republic material. It’s great to revolt against tyranny…..should have done it sixty years ago when the west had some wealth left.
The wealth you are talking about was and is an illusion. Did people actually own anything? No. Banks did and do. On the other hand, even if you own a house, try not to pay the taxes, insurance, etc. This system was created to drain people’s resources.
it’s ALWAYS amusing when people use positive terms such as welfare, commune, communism, social in a negative. Shows a distinct lack of knowledge and lazy, meme type thinking that psses for knowledge these days.
By “welfare” you mean Corporatism. Thats what the EU is.
Learn your terminology and what words mean. Words aare fairly important. We all use them to transmit knowledge. When we abuse them, we aren’t transmitting knowledge but lies.
My understanding was the French Revolution had more to do with freemasonry regaining a foothold after it was banished. So basically “democracy” as its known is a huge swindle. Napoleon loved his” hidden hand ” masonic gesture as much as the pope. Ask yourself why all the leaders constantly shake hands and make hand signs that only masons know
Larch, not just France. I noticed that “non-party” movement in Greece has increased as well, although no street protests. One of the investigative journos asked a very good question: “How come people were protesting en-mass before, and nobody is protesting today, when conditions became many times worse. Who was organizing those protests?”
I think, it was the people who are in the government today, who actually caused the biggest destruction of the Country. Which also shows that people have been zombiefied to the point that they have become mindless “bots”.
Well, I hope that French achieve their goals and thus give the rest of Europe few lessons.
Very interesting. Thanks for including photos and text of posters, etc.

There sure is plenty of misery.

Yes, death to the EU. However, before it dies, it will have caused immense financial, social and ethnic damage to Europe.
‘So in the first round of 2002, with 20% of voters in the presidential election, Chirac’s party obtained 62% of the parliament, while Le Pen, with 17% of the voters was not represented.
The same outcome occurred in 2017. Macron with 24% of voters in the first round obtained 53% of the parliament, while Le Pen, with 21% had only 1.3% representatives for his party in parliament.’
That’s some democratic system. Also what happened to the 60% or so voters that didn’t vote for either choice?
Thanks for the post…..hope you can keep us up to date with events.

Recall Elections and Voter Vetos sound like desirable tools for restraining rogue “representative” governments. The third item on the list, constitutional changes, is not as clear cut.
The U.S. state of California provides a cautionary look at referendum based direct creation of laws and constitutional amendments. The state has provisions that restrict taxation (especially property taxes) and simultaneously has provisions that mandate spending. Plus, special interests gained loopholes by hiding them in referendums with great titles, but long & complex language. The result is dysfunctional.
_______
The biggest problem in France is taxes, but permenantly cuts are difficult to enact in a stable manner. Blue/Pink and White collar “Makers” are taxed to fund massive cash flows to unemployed “Takers” in France. Relieving the burden on “Makers” by taxing the rich to fund payments to “Takers” sounds superficially attractive. However, reality shows that it is unlikely to work. The wealthy are already fleeing France to avoid 75%+ income taxes. (1) Trying to raise taxes further might cause a net negative to the treasury as more wealth flight occurs. The way out of the trap is JOBS that produce decent after-tax income. However, it is difficult to formulate a Referendum that would directly impact this split.
The number of jobs does not change rapidly. Filing the available jobs with French citizens would keep them off the dole, thus improving the Maker:Taker ratio and reducing tax burdens. This becomes a virtuous cycle as more & more French Citizens return exit the “Taker” welfare and return to “Maker” employment. A referendum requiring French employers to give jobs to French citizens over EU citizens would likely pass and work. However, there is a catch:
— What happens when a French RIC constitutional amendment conflicts with “EU/EZ rules”?
If the referendum is binding — Does that mean that France has to openly defy the EU like Italy? Or, leave the EU to protect the RIC? Everyone should realize that the EU/EZ is doomed, but a Referendum that accidentally triggers a Frexit could make a bad situation worse.

Excellent article. Talking about articles, Article 6 in the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen 1789 states that representative democracy is secondary to personal power and right to take an active part in legislation. It says:
The law is the expression of the general will. All the citizens have the right of contributing personally or through their representatives to its formation. It must be the same for all, either that it protects, or that it punishes. All the citizens, being equal in its eyes, are equally admissible to all public dignities, places, and employments, according to their capacity and without distinction other than that of their virtues and of their talents.
The Gilets Jaunes know this and the time has come claim what article 6 states.
The French have had it for decades with taxes all over the place for one, and for having no say in anything in general. Until now, they would talk about it mostly in private. Never the less, the subject was constantly on the table. The child-king attitude of this president and the obvious contempt for the common man from this government sparked something that has been brewing for a long time. The French are patient and stoic, but once the pool is overflowing, there’s no telling what may happen. The Yellow Vests movement has massive support from the population for this reason. Decades of swallowing policies that obviously go against our best interest, and having to hear that we are lazy extremist idiots for daring to think otherwise, while struggling more and more economically in a dreadful social context. An explosive proposition indeed. The scandals with Macron’s close and personal assistant Benalla and the way they were “handled” showed in a crude light that we have a greedy incompetent liar for president. Nothing new, really, but the scale of all this treachery is now way too much for the people to stay silent. It is also a revolt against the propagandist bought-and-paid-for media, which is a new and sane aspect. Dismissing the dead and badly wounded by police brutality while labeling us extremists and anti-semitic, for instance, or constantly dividing our number by ten or more added the insult to the whip. People are pissed, and they have been for a good long while. The communication tricks not only do not work anymore, but are fuelling the anger. Those who do not participate physically are, for a massive majority, reassured and happy to finally see their genuine grievances addressed and simply named. And they are not even complicated. They want out with a system that negates and kills them slowly. They want hope for their children and themselves. They might have to consider drastic measures to achieve those goals, but in front of an infernal machine of destruction gone rogue, is there any other choice? The French are not the only ones in Europe that can’t take any more of this technocratic evil.
The bottom line, though, is that if wealth were divided evenly among the nine billion people expected on this planet by 2050, the per capita material affluence of the global north would have to drop significantly. It’s doubtful that an entire civilization indoctrinated in selfishness would bear this without an epic tantrum. It would be a process of social maturation on a scale never before seen. Because in order to retain our humanity in the face of limits, we would have to confront inequality head on.
Wealth in it’s most fundamental form is labor, isn’t that already divided pretty evenly among nine billion people?Unless you know a rich man with four arms.
Capitalist’s profits come from the unpaid labor of workers-which is why socialists say that capitalism is organized theft.
Why do workers work for people who don’t pay them properly, in the first place?
Because the labor competition gives them two options:
Accept the salary, or employers may move on to the next person on the line.
If you refuse to work then you can flip hamburgers for nothing, or be homeless, with infinitely large freedom, but with infinitely small rights.
Unfortunately the Labor Market Competition goes beyond lower paying jobs.
40 % of physicians are immigrants educated in India, Egypt with very cheap education, but here compete U.S. educated doctors and works for a fraction of the salary.
This is a very complicated field in the Labor Market Polarization, but with some patience searching through:
“Labor Market Competition with Immigrants and Political Polarization.”
And:
The Impact of Immigration On American Workers
https://cis.org/Impact-Immigration-American-Workers
One of the central aspects of the immigration debate is its impact on American workers, especially those employed at the bottom of the labor market. These workers are thought to be especially vulnerable to immigrant competition because demand for this kind of labor is generally weak and immigrants are heavily concentrated in less-skilled and lower-paying jobs.
While these workers have made some gains at the end of the 1990s, most of these gains have disappeared in the current recession and real wages of workers at the bottom of the labor market remain l below what they were in the 1970s.
Four Reasons Immigration Can Impact Wages
First, because they often come from countries where wages are much lower, immigrants may be willing to work for less.
Second, employers may see immigrants as more desirable workers. If this is the case, natives will have to choose between offering their services for lower wages in order to remain competitive or suffer higher unemployment.
The third reason for concern is that employers can use the threat of further immigration as a way of holding down the wages and benefits of workers. The more open the immigration policy, the more credible the threat becomes.
The fourth and probably the most important reason to examine the impact of immigration on less-educated natives is that immigration increases the supply of labor.
Then you will be able to understand why our Corporate Controlled Society needs the Open South BOARDER.
But this isn’t a one way street, employers also compete among themselves and employees can also move on to another employer(or start their own business). The immigration thing is an American(and European?) issue and at least partly tied to Washington’s imperialist foreign policy of destroying prospering foreign states. But otherwise, yeah, I don’t think your dear leaders have your best interests in mind either.
The image with the curly-haired guy holding the sign is photoshopped. Zoom into the smiling lady’s head which is at the bottom of the image. The right ear (her left ear) has a bit of the guy’s yellow vest in front of her hair but behind her ear, which does not compute. Also notice some dark areas that haven’t been correctly erased.
The wooden portion of the sign, the beam he is holding, also looks fake. In fact the foreground figures all seem to lack a depth, i.e. they are layered onto another image.
Doctored image in my opinion.
I think you are right. People in foreground are layered onto the out-of-focus crowd in the background.
Katherine
Thanks but it is even worse — that sign the guy is holding is fake. Zoom-in and check out the wooden pole it is attacked to. Fake.
The woman’s head in the foreground is even worse — strange things going on with that (her) left ear :D
People need to start getting wise to being manipulated. We have something called a “revolution” (we all now know that most so-called revolutions are just bankster wheezes); we have a colour (hello Soros?); and now we’re getting faked or altered images — so what about the events themselves?
The French people should be careful that they aren’t being controlled by a false opposition. I have no idea to where they’re being led, but it aint gonna be for their benefit.
In regards to your proposition that the photograph is a fake and with consideration to which parts might be fake, I post here a link to the photoshop forensic website result when using same said photo URL .

When I was studying art in England, France and Spain and Northern Africa, 1970-71, I loved the experience except for cavity searched going into Northern Africa. Having not experienced that degree of intrusive during SE Asia touring in 1967-68, I was shocked. Very happy to be a person who chose clean, whole, firm almost all my life. I have been watching the world earth dramatically changing (b.1948). We humans live on the planet as an integral energy of nature. But, there are “vile humans” claiming entitlement ~causing lack, suffering, death ~as though earth is a power owned via these “vile” subhumans after a fashion.
Obama was a power broker to get a tax passed to breathe. Fortunately he was made a fool of for that extreme foolishness.
The artic riches are a turning point in our earth journey.
Do not be distracted away from seeing Russia, China, USA Et Al begin the scramble to claim the Artic riches.
Garden? Food storage? Water?
“Be Prepared” human beings!
Do NOT get too overwhelmed doing cognitive dissonance.
The reality of change is what it is.
‘Journalists come down’: Yellow Vests chant ‘fake news’ outside French TV station (VIDEOS)
https://www.rt.com/news/447684-yellow-vests-protest-bfmtv/
“Dozens of Yellow Vest protesters have descended on the headquarters of France’s BFM TV channel accusing the station of broadcasting “fake news” and calling for the resignation of President Emmanuel Macron.
One of the protesters told RT France that BFM TV spreads false information about the movement, alleging that the channel purposefully underplays the size of its demonstrations.
AFP is reporting that “several hundred” Yellow Vests gathered outside the headquarters and Police used tear gas grenades on the crowd after the protesters lobbed projectiles in their direction.
The group reportedly chanted “journalists come down”, “fake news” and “Macron out”.
Riot police also fired tear gas during clashes in Rouen in Normandy and in Nantes in western France on Saturday, which is the seventh week of the mass rallies that have divided the country since the movement sprang up in November.
Official turnout numbers have dropped significantly on earlier weeks but organizers say the dip is due to the holiday season. The protesters say the movement will continue to grow in 2019 and plans are underway for New Year’s Eve protests.”
Greetings all,
A very good French documentary by Youtube channel Data Gueule with good English subtitles (CC)
Did you said democracy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAvW7LIML60
I hope they achieve this:
“The RIC, the Référendum d’Initiative Citoyenne. That long promised but never voted system that could give back big shares of sovereignty to the population thanks to referendums that can dismiss unpopular government or ministers, cancel laws that are considered not good for the nation, or change details of the constitution.”
This is the most important part of true democracy: “people having power to remove the enemies of the people and not having to wait for changes that never come”.
The party name changes seem to be the tricks in use now a days. The Greek party PASOK just did the same thing. They try to fool people into thinking that by changing their appearance they have actually changed their destructive agendas.
The yellow vest movement spread already to Belgium in the second week and other countries have followed. Other thing: the yellow vests are something every European citizen must have in their car and wear it if for some reason, like a mechanical problem or accident, you have to leave the car on a highway.
are the people ever going to arrest the Rothschilds?
I never read where anyone at all speaks of this as possible and necessary. what are the Rothschilds protected by,..god ITself?
where do the Rothschilds live..don’t they walk on the streets and go about living like everyone else?
it seems nothing will ever change unless they are arrested and their banks/banking eliminated, some new form put in their place to handle financial issues… at once small and popularly controlled and radically democratic..something like tons of banks, all individual and independent and must remain so..and set up as worker co-ops..owned by all who work at the bank itself..from porter to manager
It is very complicated, but to start you may know.
The Federal Reserve is PRIVATELY OWNED
https://www.facts-are-facts.com/news/the-federal-reserve-is-privately-owned#.XCkAoFVKh0w
Who actually owns the Federal Reserve Central Banks? The ownership of the 12 Central banks, a very well kept secret, has been revealed:
Rothschild Bank of London
Warburg Bank of Hamburg
Rothschild Bank of Berlin
Lehman Brothers of New York
Lazard Brothers of Paris
Kuhn Loeb Bank of New York
Israel Moses Seif Banks of Italy
Goldman, Sachs of New York
Warburg Bank of Amsterdam
Chase Manhattan Bank of New York
These bankers are connected to London Banking Houses which ultimately control the FED. When England lost the Revolutionary War with America (our forefathers were fighting their own government), they planned to control us by controlling our banking system, the printing of our money, and our debt .
As long as the people has confidence on USD, then they can print unlimited capitals, and can overcome any obstacle.
I think one could look at this as a manifestation of something resembling the so-called ’Stockholm syndrome’, albeit with one important difference from what actually transpired in Stockholm in the fall of 1973, when the concept was first coined.
Stockholm syndrome: In September 1973, a bank robbery was staged in Stockholm’s city district where the robbers took several bank employees as hostages and demanded the release of fellow criminals who were locked up in Swedish jails at the time. There were no politics or ideology involved whatsoever — only camaraderie among thieves and flat-out greed. But the charisma of the plotter who had masterminded the whole enterprise and who took center-stage at the bank was put to good use in turning the hostages’ sympathies in favour of the robbers.
Looking at the problem with the power wielded by the Rothschilds and the meek response it elicits, the similarity with the Stockholm syndrome is that Westerners understand — to some degree — that this is very raw power you had better not start messing with. The difference is that here, unlike the Stockholm bank robbery of 45 years earlier where the hostages were facing either brutal murder, successful release, or a triumphant bank robbery with no financial benefits for themselves Westerners correctly sense that without the banksters’ stranglehold on the World’s oppressed countries and peoples, the West will enter instant tailspin. I suggest that this be called ”The Syriza syndrome” where an utter charlatan, Alexis Tsipras, promises continued Western imperialism without austerity and is rewarded by the consent of a highly deluded Greek majority population. The Rothschilds, however, were not of the same opinion and now are in the mood for dispensing once and for all with their Western ’hostages’. Interesting times ahead as the year draws to a close.
“dispensing once and for all…..”
pray tell…..?
always, since I was very young the realization of the capitalist end game was clear to me. as a Black person I never saw and eventuality that included me and mine
then I came to understand the broader implications of the worker/owner contradiction and realized that ordinary whites were in the same boat. there is no evolutionary eventuality that includes ordinary white people in any sentient form, able to think and act and live in independent agreement socially
with this I agree completely: “”or a triumphant bank robbery with no financial benefits for themselves Westerners correctly sense that without the banksters’ stranglehold on the World’s oppressed countries and peoples, the West will enter instant tailspin””
but that does obviate the resolution I listed: there is no sentient future for white ordinary folk as well. as long as Rothschild..as an inclusive rubric for Bankster.. exists in total power, human society will ultimately look and function like like Huxley’s nightmare. that future cannot be avoided unless all minority power is eliminated and popular democracy replaces minority exploitative power globally
how not to see that and therefore not to arrest Rothschild and put an end to such domination and its vile, dead end potential for humanity?
proven cases could be made in every country to prove Rothschild centuries long crime spree against humanity and arrest warrants issued. where are the courageous lawyers?
but the people do not need warrants. the people out in the streets in majority armed with proven cases are the law. they can arrest, need not official judicial permission. they can simply act!
Europe if it wants a future of any decency and success has a choice to make..before it is made for them. there is prosperity ahead for all in global in mutually beneficial and non-corrupt trade/financial relations between democratic states and peoples..aided by the scientific/technological revolution, which while a threat in capitalism would be a benefit in the hands of the people who would be able to introduce new technology while reconciling its results beneficially for the state or nation
for their own survival ordinary Euros must wean themselves of imperialism and ill-gotten resource, bell their elites and move on in popular democracy. there is no other way save hell itself. I have no interest in hell
its a simple matter, clear, obvious. the contradictions of capitalism in all is forms can be resolved only at the expense of the ordinary people..the great majority. the price the people will pay already horrendous is increasing all the time.
that is easy to see in all facets of life..medicine that is killing lots as we speak, bad education, bad food, impure water..and war after war after war. the Earth has been raped, its an on-going rape. the most horrific acts have been committed against the human species by theses same forces that proves my point: ordinary people have no alternative but to act against the financial forces dominating our lives.
there is no kind of life we can live, no choice we can make that will save us ultimately from the Banksters. it is not that they can or will leave us alone if we sit down quietly and make no trouble for them. that is not how it works. ‘ the Banksters have needs” and they will act as they see fit to resolve their own survival whatever that means, relative to any and all people everywhere in the world. and we now what it means..our ultimate destruction as ordinary people.
the Banksters have demonstrated their utter resolve for centuries and the consequences have been hundreds of millions dead, chewed up on the way to currently when the power to kill is literally limitless.
ordinary people have no choice but to as resolutely seek the survival of the majority, ordinary people, by acting against the Banksters. there is nothing to fear. what is there to fear when you know your enemy is going to kill you anyway, heartlessly, ruthlessly, that he see you as thrash. he allows you to eat today but you can see tomorrow he has no use for you..you will be replaced by a bot.. and rather than have you around as a revolutionary threat he will kill you, or incapacitate you so that you cannot carry out your own best interest..which is to remove him from power over you
what is there to fear? nothing! the crimes that our collective enemy has already committed are so vast there is nothing on the human books equal to it, capable of dealing with. only the people in majority action, armed with truth, is equal to the task of belling the Banksters.
it is time to make the case and arrest them all..or we are done!
What les Gilets Jaunes are also protesting about. The French Army is working for Rothschild abroad as French President Micron works for Rothschild at home. The FA is in Syria to set up a Rothschild-owned Israeli-run oil company called Eretz Kurdistan — with the blessing of President Micron:
http://pennyforyourthoughts2.blogspot.com/2018/12/turkish-media-reveals-multiple-french.html
“In the southern part of the Kabiba oil field in Deyrizor province, there are French cantons. The building of the oilfield is used as a center by the French. There are French artillery batteries and special forces inside the Kahar oilfield in the east of Mayadin district of Deir-ez-Zor.
Protected by US troops, the French are able to provide their mobility in YPG / PKK protection.
“We should not forget that we owe the YPG / PKK,” French President Emmanuel Macron said last Sunday.
I don’t mean to be disrespectful: the Saker is a fine blog and there are many fine minds in commentary here. Larchmonter is excellent, comprehensive and always clear. this blog has been in existence for some time doing good work. but by now we know the story, how it came to be, where are at in it and what the solution is.
at the very least we know that the way the worlds business is done must change to a democracy, possible at this stage of human evolution… or humanity will realize consequences that most likely eliminates us by war, industrial pollution etc., or enslaves us all, which would surely lead soon after to the same elimination..by our own hand – the hands of our current elites, combined with the reticence to act by people such as those in these pages here who know, but hold right here in endless discussion
that is the Saker: a collection of high human capability and intellect comprehensively aware of reality what it would take, the solution and yet never ever go that far, even to discus the end game which looms, drawing ever closer.
no one here as far as I have seen ever states the obvious as I have tried to do: there is no alternative but for society to evolve into popular democracies..ownership of society as a whole by the people for the people. there is no positive evolutionary role to play by minority ownership and concentration of wealth into few hands. such leads to human extinction..plain and simple
Humanity may be a dead end anyway but we ought not to rob ourselves of the chance to find out, to go on as long as we can, as positively as we can..indefinite survival. we do not know all there is.. we must find out, see what we can achieve in harmony with the universe, with nature.. not opposed to nature, always battling nature.
excellent as the Saker is, it is in my opinion a holding operation. stating the case, its obvious resolution in capitalist hell… the Saker can explode into activism pushing, exploring, developing paths, codifying results and potentials, along the only solution and path for the people: to rise and take over society, creating democratic forms as they go, forms that meet all need, address all problems, correcting as they go when flaws appear.
the problem we know is minority control, ownership of the material means of society, who do not work in the production of their own sustenance but live off the work of others the enslaved. society must find ways to ensure that there are no formations in society that lives off the work of others…that is the wealth produced by others. all work must lead to such production..or involved in such production. there must be no bureaucracy..none!
all work can be and must be so resolved. there must exist no place in the social formation where a minority can find sustenance at the expense of others that can grow in to universal domination and unequal society.
no disrespect at all..but it seems to me time to get going
French imperial roots are deep in Syria.
After WWI Syria was a mandate administered by the French until I believe 1937.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Mandate_for_Syria_and_the_Lebanon
I guess it was until 1946.
So, France will always attempt to find one way or another to recoup its influence.
It is quite possible that many legal and administrative structures in Syria derive from French ones, and hence provide a ready matrix for contemporary French advances into the universe of Syrian business, education, administration, social services, infrastructure, etc. There may even be long-standing networks connecting French and Syrian elites and decision makers. In fact, it would be surprising if there were not.
Katherine
and as for race/ethnicity that too appears to have been resolved.
there is one human species and it is Black from its origins and remains so in foundation in all aspects of life…ALL!
the story of the filiation of the ethnic branches of humanity is also clear. we know how we all came to be from the Black base.
currently against the backdrop of a seeming explosion of numbers of mixed people especially in the USA, a seeming fact originally exposed by Dr Frances Cress Welsing, that white people suffer a recessive mutation that would hinder ultimately their ability to go on procreating comes to the fore. [ Cress Welsing called it ‘white fear of biological annihilation’ ] are we witnessing that annihilation as we speak as white and black people become brown..white people actually disappearing in what may be a survival response in reacquiring the melanin that would allow white people to evolve..Black people too..to some extent!
and it is interesting o observe in humans what may be Hybrid Vigor in such brown offspring, as they excel in the american public sphere especially in sports. one such figure is so incredible that he makes even me wonder..he is Patrick Mahomes the foot quarterback for the Kansas City Chief. there have been for some time such people all over the place. the mixing surely is producing a more facile human being physically at least?
as the human story is codified into its unified origins and development and the world meets itself by modern communications and transport, the world is slowing getting back together, understanding itself and dispelling the myths of capitalist racist social division and separation of peoples for plunder.
as the people develop that same in understanding of our social organization, clarity and urgent need as the capitalist fail deliberately to create catastrophes that would allow them the room they need to deepen draconian control of society for their Brave New World purposes, the people in revolutionary action to deal once and for all with capitalism.. will move faster in ending separatist tactics like racism/racial superiority, coming to grips with nature as the true template of life not Bibles and written constitutions, but nature and the real coordinates of indefinite human survival
ultimate human survival has nothing to do with skin color but biological fitness..can we adapt and adjust to all biological challenges have faced successfully so far..and will face as we go along.
humanity has a whole real world of challenges to deal with successfully to win continual survival. Capitalism is the most serious at this moment in time. capitalism must be defeated and eliminated forever as a social possibility
Race/ethnicity is not a human problem but a human benefit, a human advantage in natural conditions. that is why and how it came to be..the different environmentally induced changes form original Black African that humanity displays at his point. it has given humanity its best chances in nature and we are still here even if dumb, stupid capitalism turned it into serious disadvantage and threat to human survival
so if the fact that I am black conditions anyone’s attitude to me in these pages don’t. I told you alI am Black so you can come to feel free to talk to me or at me or pan the shit out of what I say..like all this I have ranted on about on this thread
The global capitalist plantation had already reached its limits with the financial crash of 2008 and the great recession. The capitalist system was then placed on life support by the world’s central bank’s qualitative easing. QE greatly enriched the 1% and left the 99% either in stagnation or decline. In response to to the increasing inequality the 2011 Occupy Wall Street movement became global but quickly declined due to neoliberal government crackdowns and lack of strong leadership. Now in the comming year of 2019, the other shoe is set to drop as the global slowdown, rising interest rates and record debt consume what is left if any, of most peoples savings. The Yellow Vest movement France is the next phase in the anticapitalist struggle, and is already spreading throughout the world and setting an example for the global working class. A Yellow Vest socialist revolution in India for example could turn the tide of history of over a billion people! Also, the peoples of countries that had socialist revolutions like Russia, China and Cuba, are still majority pro-socialist and anti-capitalist despite the flaws of their own respective leaders. This and also the relentless warfare from without by the Western capitalist imperialists by means if economic pressures, invasion, hot and cold wars and propaganda like the myths of the “invisible hand of the freemarket” and “trickledown, supplyside economics.” Now just like their comrades in Russia, China and Cuba, France is now majority socialist! But it is crucial that the Yellow Vests don’t face the same fate as the Occupy Wall Street movement and to learn from it’s mistakes.
Meadows and his team used World3 to examine growth trends worldwide that had prevailed from 1900 to 1970, extrapolating from the data to model 12 future scenarios of global development and its consequences, projected out to the year 2100. They focused on the complex feedback loops—the system dynamics—that play out when we tax the limits of the planet. The team separated those limits into two categories: sources and sinks. Sources are those things we need from nature for industrial civilization to survive: minerals, metals, rare earth elements, fossil fuels, fresh water, arable soil. Sinks refer to the capacity of the planet to absorb pollution of its soil, air, and water, and, most ominously, the capacity of its atmosphere to absorb carbon.
A typical if simplified system dynamic in the study went like this: “Population cannot grow without food, food production is increased by growth of capital, more capital requires more resources, discarded resources become pollution, pollution interferes with the growth of population and food.” The models showed that any system based on exponential economic and population growth crashed eventually. One of the gloomier models was called the standard run, in which the “present growth trends in world population, industrialization, pollution, food production, and resource depletion continue unchanged.” In that scenario, which came to be known as business-as-usual, “the limits to growth on this planet will be reached sometime within the next one hundred years,” the team stated. Things end unhappily: “The most probable result … will be a rather sudden and uncontrollable decline in both population and industrial capacity.”

In March of 2016, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Limits to Growth in the United Kingdom issued a report declaring that the 1972 projections were worrisomely spot-on. The author of the report, Tim Jackson, a professor of sustainable development at the University of Surrey, told me, “Numerous analyses have shown that the historical data track very closely the lines of the Limits to Growth standard run.” Ecologists Charles Hall and John W. Day conducted their own comparison of Limits’ projections with real-world data in 2009, and found the projections to be “quite on target. We are not aware of any model made by economists that is as accurate over such a long time span.” Matthew Simmons, the noted investment banker whose company managed tens of billions of dollars in energy-industry mergers and acquisitions, offered a similar observation in 2000. “The most amazing aspect of the book,” he wrote, “is how accurate many of the basic trend extrapolation[s] … still are 30 years later.”
The first edition of Limits had, in fact, gone a long way toward accommodating technology as a possible saving grace for the growth system. In one of the 12 scenarios, the authors modeled a world system “producing nuclear power, recycling resources, and mining the most remote reserves; withholding as many pollutants as possible; pushing yields from the land to undreamed-of heights; and producing only children who are actively wanted by their parents.” Nevertheless, the authors wrote, “the result is still an end to growth before the year 2100. The application of technological solutions alone has prolonged the period of population and industrial growth, but it has not removed the ultimate limits to that growth.”
“But it is crucial that the Yellow Vests don’t face the same fate as the Occupy Wall Street movement and to learn from it’s mistakes.”
There was a replica to “Occupy Wall Street” in France, namely “Nuit Debout”. This movement was a movement from the intelligentsia, not a popular movement for justice like the yellow vests. It failed, as there was no popular base.
The yellow vests in France have already succeeded because as said by French Saker, “the french have regained confidence in their power as a population”. And more importantly, they have reached a collective consciousness that their fight is legitimate, and that the media and government are plain liars. they are bound to succeed, as no backtracking is possible on that matter.
It all started on November 17 when tens of thousands of people took to the streets across the country to protest against rising fuel prices.
The protesters, dubbed “Les gilets jaunes” (the yellow vests) after the high-visibility jackets they adopted as a symbol of their complaint, blocked roundabouts, burned effigies and clashed with the police. They were angry about the almost 20 percent increase in the price of diesel since the start of the year, as well as the planned fuel tax hike President Emmanuel Macron had recently announced.
While Macron said the tax was necessary to “protect the environment” and “combat climate change”, protesters claimed the decision was yet another sign that the “arrogant” and “privileged” president is out of touch with regular folk struggling to make ends meet.
The intensity of the protests quickly forced the government to make a U-turn and first suspend and later permanently shelve its plans for fuel tax increases. However, the protest movement was not only about fuel prices. It encompassed wider anger and frustration against the political establishment in general and President Macron in particular. As a result, the government’s decision to abandon fuel tax hikes failed to calm tensions.
The “yellow vests” want further concessions from the government. Their demands include a redistribution of wealth as well as the increase of salaries, pensions, social security payments and the minimum wage. Some say they will not settle for anything less than the president’s resignation.

Protesters wearing yellow vests occupy a roundabout in Cissac-Medoc, France on December 5, 2018. The slogan reads ‘Urgent, purchase power, dignity for all’ [Regis Duvignau/Reuters]
So how did day-to-day frustrations about fuel prices and “green taxes” transform into a nation-wide protest movement attracting hundreds of thousands of people in a matter of weeks?
It all comes down to Macron’s apparent failure to connect with the people, understand their concerns and steer France away from destructive neoliberal policies.
So far no results from Macron’s government investigation on how to blame the Russians for the Yellow Vest protests. Apparently the protesters are not buying any accusation that they are Putin stooges. The funniest attempt at blaming Putin/Russians was from Russiangaters citing tweets (Hamiton project) and other other postings in social media. Problem is that the postings are overwhelming in English. The Russians apparently caused the French protests using English tweets. Putin is Svengali for sure. One of the “researchers” at the Atlantic Council claimed that there were so few Russian linked French accounts because the Russians could not find enough fluent French speakers. Like how many do the Russians need? With just 12 people at the Internet Research Agency, they were able to upset the election of a nation of 330 million people. France? Three is all you need tops.
