Turkey officially announced that it had launched a military operation in northeastern Syria. Over the past years, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other representatives of the country’s leadership have repeatedly announced this idea. However, this time promises were turned into reality.
On October 6, the administration of US President Donald Trump released a statement saying that Turkey will soon carry out its “long-planned operation” into northern Syria. According to the statement, US forces will not “support or be involved in the operation” and “will no longer be in the immediate area”. The announcement came following a phone conversation between the US and Turkish presidents.
On October 7, US forces started withdrawing from their positons along a large chunk of the Syrian-Turkish border. US military garrisons in Tel Abyad, Tel Musa, Tel Hinzir and Tel Arqam were abandoned. US patrols in the border area were halted. The Pentagon provided no details regarding the number of troops withdrawn from the border. US mainstream media outlets mention the numbers from 50 to 100.
This US decision caused a kind of panic among leaders and members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). They simultaneously called the US decision a backstab, asked the US-led coalition to establish a no-fly zone ‘like in Iraq’ and declared their readiness to resume negotiations with Russia and the Assad government, which they just a few weeks ago were calling a ‘bloody regime’.
Kurdish armed groups, mainly the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), are the core of the SDF. The Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) dominates in the self-proclaimed administration of northeastern Syria. Ankara names the YPG, the YPJ and the PYD terrorist groups because of their links to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). This separatist group is engaged in a long-standing guerrilla war against the Turkish state in an attempt to establish an independent Kurdish state on territory of southeastern Turkey. The PYD and its military wings pursue similar goals in northeastern Syria.
Ankara has reasonable concerns that funds, weapons, equipment and training provided by the US to Kurdish armed groups in northern Syria will later be used by the PKK in its fight against the Turkish government. The US-Turkish ‘safe zone’ agreement on northern Syria was designed to remove these concerns. Turkey insisted that Kurdish armed groups should be removed from the border and disarmed, or, at least, the US should stop supplying them with weapons and equipment. However, this did not happen. The peak of the US-Turkish coordination over this question was several joint patrols along the border.
By evening of October 9, Turkey had put its proxy forces on a high alert and the Turkish Air Force had bombed SDF positions near Tell Abyad, Ras al-Ayn, Kobane and al-Qamishli. The Operation Peace Spring started.
President Erdogan says that its goals are to neutralize “terror threats” along the border, establish a real safe zone and facilitate return of Syrian refugees to their homes. Besides the anti-terror declarations, one of the main points of the Turkish public rhetoric is the oppression of Arab locals by Kurdish militias.
If the Operation Peace Spring develops like Turkish operations in al-Bab and Afrin, Ankara will use its proxy groups as a first line of the ground advance and a shield for Turkish personnel deployed on the ground. Artillery, warplanes and special forces of the Turkish military will be the main striking power. Pro-Turkish sources say that about 15,000-20,000 members of pro-Turkish groups have already been mobilized. If this is true, the total number of personnel, including Turkish servicemembers, involved in the operation may reach 30,000.
At the first phase of the advance, Turkey will likely to get control of the area of the non-implemented US-Turkish safe zone. Some Turkish sources speculate that in the event of success the Turkish Army may push even towards Deir Ezzor. However, this remains unlikely in the current military and diplomatic situation in the region.
Useful report, but should be considered a very partial analysis. Cursory.
“and facilitate return of Syrian refugees to their homes.”
Actually, Turkey plans to build many new towns and villages for the Syrian refugees currently in Turkey in this border zone they are pushing the kurd proxies from. Both RT and Sputnik have covered this. The Turks are planning to spend some $27 billion on this massive infrastructure development, according to what I read from those 2 news sources.
This is very interesting and curious Turk undertaking. Turkey keeps saying they respect Syrian territorial integrity, they have been very consistent in that. Now they are occupying parts of Idlib and soon a 20k wide section of Syria. Contradictory, no?
Let’s look at the reaction to the Turkish invasion. Russia and Iran are rather laid back and calm, they are not particularly upset. Syria condemns it, as they do all Turk moves.
But what about the zionazified “west”? Pretty much all very hostile to Turkey. The israeli colonial trump likudites/neocons are not happy and getting ready to list Turkey as part of their “axis of evil” faggotry.
I don’t expect israel will allow Turkey to remain in nato very much longer. :-D
This is what I think is going down. The Turks are the best force to use to erradicate zionazi-nazi control zones in Syria, north Syria, anyway. Would usa/nato attack a fellow nato member? Not hardly. The israelis might, in desperation, but I think they will instead work to expell Turkey from nato. First.
Syria, Russia, Iran and Turkey worked out a strategy. The safe zone, and Turk infrastructure building can work to help Syria and Turkey both. Turkey wants a buffer between Kurds in Turkey and to move Syrian refugees back to Syria. I bet most of those refugees are not Kurdish. Turkey also owes a substantial debt to Syria for their role in destabilizing the country. Actually, it is in Syria’s interest to separate the Syrian Kurds away from the Turkish Kurds, as neither country wants their territory carved off for a kurdistan. Iran and Iraq, as well.
The israeli’s pindo and other nato colonies are left the choice of attacking a fellow nato member, or withdrawaling. This leaves their kurd proxies rather naked, and empowers those among their ranks of less quisling mores to push for Syrian unification and neutralization of the zionazi loyalists.
Once the zionazi element is neutralised, I think Turkey will withdraw from the Syrian territory.
Just read Saker’s “Debunking the Putin and Netanyahu/Israel work together canard (final installment)”, he seems to be thinking of the Turk incursion in a similar manner there.
vot tak
I agree with your thinking here. I surmise the same. I especially agree that Turkey will withdraw from Syria when the time is right – and anyway, how can it possibly stay if Russia wants it gone?
That withdrawal eventually will show something that Erdogan has been concealing quite well. I think what we’re also seeing is the evidence that Erdogan has truly committed to the east rather than the west for Turkey’s future. He’s played the west because they themselves don’t want to lose Turkey or Incirlik, and he’s leveraged that fear to make them essentially leave him alone.
He’s appeared to play both sides, each against the other, but he’s already gained more from the east (S-400, Turkstream) – and for the near and far future the wealth that comes from association with One Road, China and Eurasia is formidable compared with paying tribute to the west.
I don’t have a deep study of the territory or logistics, but it seems to me that Turkey is doing a job for the axis in sanitizing and pacifying the northern border that neither Syria or Russia could do without the risk of hitting a US tripwire. But Turkey can get away with it.
Turkey has the US spooked and so the tripwire is now gone for Erdogan to do his wild man act – but what we’re seeing is actually a very precise operation and it has all the hallmarks of Russian guidance in it. Turkey is not committing random massacres or destruction, so far at least. It’s essentially a herding operation to control territory and to get populations moved around, and ultimately to get the ridiculously stubborn and politically inept Kurds to rejoin the Syrian nation and behave themselves – a noble and necessary goal for Syria.
This entire operation has been remarkably opaque. Speculation is rife. But what’s happening on the ground is appearing to be very well considered.
Grieved
I fully agree with your points. This Turkey’s operation isn’t like that of Afrin. Here Turkey is very calculated
There’s no way Turkey is going to choose the East over the West. Turkey will try to carve out a sovereign autonomous policy to keep astride of both the East and the West, in accordance with its history and its geography. Turkey cannot miss commerce with the West.
The glorious West gives untermenschen like Turks one choice-tremble and obey your betters or we will ‘obliterate’ you, or ‘totally destroy your economy’. If Turkey chooses the West it opts for serfdom.
I doubt the Turks plan on leaving Syria, those refugees they want to return are the very terrorists the Turks have supported since day one, including ISIS,i must say i have not understood the Russian plan for dealing with the Turks,in my view the Turks should have been warned a long time ago they will be attacked if they cross the border, well they were allowed to cross it some time ago now the situation is they could occupy part of norther Syria, the only way they will leave is by force.
Agree. Good counter points
Turkish invasion must be stopped. It is a criminal strategy to eradicate local populations: Kurds, Arabs, Syriac Christians, Armenian Christians and Yezidis. It is part of the Turkish expansionist plan that must fail. I condemn the betrayal but I also condemn the Turkish -Russian unhealthy cooperation which historically detrimental to the Christians in the area, particularly the Armenians. Readers of this site should remember that Turkey is occupying Armenian, Greek, Assyrian and Kurdish lands. It is my wish to see that this Turkish invasion turns its Vietnam or Afghanistan. In the long run Turkey must me dismantled so that original people become owners of their ancestral homelands. Most of Asia Minor does not belong to the Turks. First it was the Bolsheviks that assisted Turkey to stand up, and then this was followed by the West during the Cold War.

A recipe for eternal war and bloodshed. The only real hope is that a Turkish chauvinist like Erdogan is replaced or succeeded by someone who grants the minorities autonomy under one State. Dividing Turkey up into powerless statelets is straight from the Oded Yinon Plan play-book.
MM
“Dividing Turkey up into powerless statelets is straight from the Oded Yinon Plan play-book.”
Carving off a piece of Turkey is part of the plan. No doubt is full control of the Mideast water sources. Had the gulen coup succeeded, we would be seeing a much different Turkey right now. Probably Syria, as well. Defeating the gulen coup and reversing the zionazi advance on Syria put the brakes on oded yinon, and hopefully this will lead to further zionazi defeat and failure.
The fact that the Ziocons in the media are screeching about the Turkish invasion and bemoaning the partial removal of US troops is perhaps a good sign that their will is not being done; perhaps too, Turkey really is carrying out the intrusion in its national interest (leaving aside the important fact that it violates, regardless, the sovereignty of Syria) of combatting Kurdish terrorism.
But I also worry that Turkey’s resultant occupation of a larger chunk of Syria serves Israel’s Yinon plan and that Erdogan has an undisclosed agreement with Netanyahu. On this view, the Ziomedia’s posturing would be fake and their tears crocodile’s, as perhaps a psy-ops of confusing the worldwide opposition to imperialism.
I’m not saying this scenario is correct. Curious to see how things unfold, but in the long term would like to see Syria regain full sovereignty over its territory.
It must be some kind of Orwellian humour to name the autumn attack “Peace Spring”.
Other than that, The Saker’s analysis around this operation seems plausible. The net effect is to gradually push the US out and invite the kurds to negotiate with Damascus.
It is perfectly understandable-‘They make a desert and call it peace’, and in autumn, too.
Ollie Richardson has a superb analysis of this situation in a series of tweets on Twitter:
https://twitter.com/o_rich_/status/1182420328963817473
He starts by drawing from a thread from Elijah J. Magnier, and builds from there. Maybe the best thing I’ve seen on this whole situation.
Maybe it can be republished here?
I agree, both threads are excellent explanations, though there still stay a few little question marks for me.
I also think it’s a topic worth in itself. That is up to the Saker, and I guess both authors have to agree on that in some way.
Cheers, Rob
The Turkish limited (M4 highway) Invasion must have been (at least roughly) agreed upon by and has the silent support of
– the US
– Russia
– Iran
– Iraq
– Syria
The common goal seems to be to end the Zionist mirage of a Kurdish state once and for all and thus, hopefully, set the stage for a return to normality in the Middle East.
Agree with the above sentiments. First thing I would add is Russia is playing a pivotal role globally. It has certainly put the brakes on the Zio/US/Anglo dastardly imperialist ambitions. Its diplomacy is unmatched in these times of unprecedented corruption and mistrust. More to the point, we are seeing the fruits of the trilateral Astana meetings. The NE region was always the most compromised. A NATO military presence solidifying itself on annexed Syrian territory with a SDF proxy army equally eager to partake in the destabilisation of its neighbouring countries. In addition, stealing the rich fertile land and energy wealth taking it away from the govt and people. Russia could not directly deal with this threat without risking a serious conflagration with a nuclear power. Nor Syria with a war weary army and a focus on Idlib. Turkey taking on this task for its own valid security reasons is a wise chess move that will make inroads to solving this crisis. They have pushed the US long enough to reconcile this border threat but to no avail. Turkey had to push this issue and the Donald has partially relented at much risk to himself as is being witnessed by the chorus of condemnation globally. All zio compatriots banging in unison. A clear indication of the Zionist support for such a nefarious Kurdish agenda. I’m sure the hope is to push the Kurds towards Damascus and Russia for negotiations and to establish the security corridor for the return of refugees. As someone stated above this would create a buffer zone separating Kurdish separatist ambitions between the two regions. Turkey can justify its operation under the Adana Agreement. Syria is clearly not in a position to maintain or enforce this agreement to keep the YPG element of the Kurds in check in relation to their separatist and military activities. Hence, that is why their is consultation between Turkey and Russia over this ongoing operation. In the long term I believe Turkey will help restore the territorial integrity of Syria as evidenced by the Astana agreement on a constitional Committee to resolve disputes and restore a sovereign Syria in co-operation with the UN. Clearly, this is a pattern of resolution by regional players with a genuine stake. The US and Kurds have displayed their displeasure at the lack of NE Kurdish representation in the composition of the committee. Not unexpected but to me showed what the Astana members think of their betrayal. Its worth reiterating what Pres Assad wrote in his letter to the UN in relation to the separatist Kurds:
In a rare shift of rhetoric, Syria’s foreign ministry labeled the Syrian Democratic Forces as “separatist terrorist militias” in a letter to United Nations Secretary-General.
The letter accuses the SDF of operating in line with “schemes” by the United States and Israel and says the Syrian government will “liberate” territories captured by the militias, state news agency SANA reported on Sunday, September 15, ahead of a Monday meeting of the presidents of Russia, Iran and Turkey to discuss Syria.
According to SANA, the letter claims the SDF has moved on from taking part in “committing crimes of the “International Coalition” against the Syrian people,” accusing the SDF of now “kidnapping, torturing, killing and displacing civilians.”

Erdogan is a tricky customer but I have to say he got some fight in him which is very much needed. Turkey itself needs to redeem some of its role in early days of Syrian destabilisation. I believe Turkey was a conduit for the overall Zio ambitions. Erdogan yesterday came out strongly and his hostility towards the Saudi involvement was prominent. Those extremists specifically under the US/Israel and Saudi control need to be dealt with too and he is on board.
Turkey could not have pivoted from its historical Western alliance until such a person rose, his allies showing their true intent undermining its security concerns, playing with EU membership games, instigating a coup to topple him. Russia opened the door and gave it a choice of being a key regional player, taking its security concerns more seriously and above all a way out from the decaying hemisphere to a Eurasian sunrise.
The road is tricky and fraught with danger. Turkey is NATO in name only at present and I don’t think Erdogan can trust them much longer.
The US tried to use the Kurds as proxy fighters in order to grab Iraqi and Syrian oilfields. This failed. However, the US is still backing the Kurds, the intent being to destabilize Turkey in case it leaves NATO, which is a very real possibility. In fact the US with it’s policies is driving Turkey out of NATO.
I’m with vot tak here and although the ‘devil is in the details’, I think this is a very well thought through move. Turkey is using its Nato membership to force the Kurds to the table, and in the meantime, Russia is forcing Turkey to the table. Bear in mind Erdogan never wanted to negotiate with Assad. Remember the Kurds are doing the Empire’s work in the area, in terms of looking after oil, the displaced Syrian war refugees in US hands as well as those war prisoners that the that the US forces took into prison camps.
This is more a question of Turkey chasing the US forces from the area. Take a look at Lavrov’s statement as reported from Tass – and I would say these negotiations are well advanced already.
“We will be pressing for the beginning of a dialogue between Turkey and Syria. There are reasons to believe that this will meet the interests of both countries. Also, we will be promoting contacts between Damascus and Kurdish organizations that renounce extremism and terrorist methods of activity,” Lavrov said.
and
“We have been constantly highlighting from the very start of the crisis in Syria that we understand the rightful concerns of the Republic of Turkey as to the safety of its borders,” Lavrov said. “At the same time, we were emphasizing in every way the need to settle these concerns within the framework of the agreements existing between Damascus and Ankara, the so-called Adana agreement of 1998,” he went on to say.
“Unfortunately, an efficient implementation of that agreement, that envisaged joint efforts to thwart acts of terror on the border between Turkey and Syria, was complicated by the activity of the Americans and the coalition on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River,” Lavrov stressed.

This is confirmed by Elijah Magnier.
Sounds like this is another fake American withdrawal from Syria, evocative of the last phony “US troop withdrawal” in 2018.

Absolutely. US ‘forces’ only withdraw when defeated, as in 1975. Otherwise they are harder to get rid of than herpes. They’re still in Germany and Japan 70 years after war’s end. Like a cancer, they must always grow, so that the trillions keep flowing down the maw of the MICC, such an integral part of the ruling ‘Deep State’.
Possible interesting development here?
“In yhe north of Syria, there are areas where Daesh* militants are concentrated. They are still guarded by Kurdish military units. Now the Turkish army enters there, the Kurds are dropping these camps. They just can scatter,” Putin said at a CIS summit in Ashgabat on Friday.
“I’m not sure if the Turkish army can quickly take control of it,” he added.
The President emphasized that in these zones, according to the General Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of Russia, there are hundreds of militants and “thousands, if we talk about the CIS countries.”
“We just need to understand this, know and mobilize the resources of our special services to stop this really emerging new threat,” the president emphasized.”

As I stated in another thread, even if Dr al-Assad wanted to fight off the Turkish army, the Syrian army does not have the ability at present to simultaneously fight in Idlib and NE Syria. Political condemnation is all the Syrian government can do, for now. Unfortunately from a humanitarian/social justice viewpoint, breaking up the land bridge between the Kurdish areas of Syria & Turkey actually serves their mutual interests. Settling Syrian refugees in NE Syria to dilute the Kurdish population’s concentration will likely “scream” ethnic cleansing, but that is only true if President al-Assad actually murders them.
Before dealing with Turkish occupation, I believe the Syrian army must:
*End the Idlib campaign with total victory (preferable), or partial victory (consolidate current gains & return later)
*Completely liberate the terrorist areas near the Jordanian border, and expel US forces from al-Tanf air base
*Clear out the remnants of ISIS near Deir Ezzor
When those tasks are complete then Syria will be in a much better position to:
*Remove Turkish occupation forces (preferably via diplomacy, but military campaign if necessary)
*Hold Turkey fully accountable for its role in devastating Syria
*Reclaim the Golan Heights
*Hold Saudi Arabia, Qatar, & UAE accountable for their roles in supporting ISIS + al-Qaeda
If Dr al-Assad can accomplish all of that, Syria will once again be a prosperous country, and he will be president for life!
“This separatist group is engaged in a long-standing guerrilla war against the Turkish state in an attempt to establish an independent Kurdish state on territory of southeastern Turkey.”
The Kurds have long been trying to be allowed to form a state on contiguous areas of Turkey, Iraq and Iran. They already have an independent entity in Iraq.
The Kurds are acting like a bunch of outlaws because they have been indoctrinated by zionist ideals…
Trump is “betraying the Kurds” and horror of horrors, pulling America’s colonial stormtroopers out of Syria …. or not.

Ottoman hubris all over again. The Turks are aiming to occupy Jerusalem that they unwisely sold to Rothschild Bank in 1829 for 50 pieces of gold. The occupation of Arab land stolen by the Kurdish gypsies, (like calling a Koala a Koala bear because Koala is indigenous Australian for bear), has caused discord as all gipsy occupation does anywhere in the world.
The Mahdi, (yes that one from Khartoum famously defeated on Hollywood film in North Africa), is reportedly born again according to the Shia and soon Iranians will walk again in Al Quds after which the entire world will enter a golden age of all people submitting to Islam.
Erdogan is going to set up a knitting group in Syria to ensure the Mahdi walks again in Al Quds. This to witness the Jews in Israel and the Jews in Saudi Arabia and the Jews in USA bend their knee to Al Mahdi.
The western media refuses to even mention that the Mahdi has returned because of the prophecy that all Jews will become Islamists and Moslems. So now you know who controls what. But one thing is for sure, all Jews will bend their knee to the Mahdi as he sits on his throne in Al Quds.
Meanwhile, we Heathens have our own plans…
And old Erdi will be setting up ‘Welcome Mahdi knitting groups all over the Middle East. You think I’m joking? Then ask for info about the rebirth of the Mahdi at your local Shia Mosque!
US Says Turkey Deliberately Fired Near American Troop Positions in Syria’s Kobani – Report

“According to an earlier Pentagon statement, Turkish shells “exploded a few hundred meters of a location outside the Security Mechanism zone and in an area known by the Turks to have US forces present”.
A few hundred meters is what, 200, 300, 400, 500, these bitchy queens are whining about shells dropping a long distance away and obviously not targeting them.
One word describes them: gay.
“Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said earlier on Saturday that the nation’s military is coordinating efforts with the United States, and has denied accusations that Ankara deliberately targeted US forces in the region.
The Turkish Defence Ministry also said it had taken the necessary measures to avoid inflicting damage on a US observation post near the positions of Kurdish-led forces.”

Something big is happening in Damascus today, there are very few leaks about it so far. … air bridge between Damascus and Qamishili has been busy as hell in the past 2-3 days, thousands of SAA soldiers were air lifted…but the air bridge has taken many Syrian Kurds and local Sheiks to Damascus as well. …Russia and Iran are deeply involved in the talks.
… Syrian Gov related sources are very optimistic that the SAA will soon be controlling the NE-East of Syria, while we hear from Kurdish source ..set foot to get a deal done with the Syrian Gov as soon as possible… the SDC was bypassed all together, the political organization that is now in EU…
It will be a long night, but maybe tomorrow we will know more about the details from these meetings in Damascus.”

*By what authority does Turkey, Russia or the USA sit on a so-called Security Counsel to decide that the Syrian Kurds who have lived in the area long before the Erdogan gang of murderers had been there, allow Erdogan with Orwellian language of “Peace” to genocide the “Freedom Fighters” agaisnt ISIS? Turkey is a dictatorship. That is a fact. It is an illegitimate member if NATO. As such, Turkey is merely threatened by the Kurdish quest for democratic socialism which is a form of self-government. Russia, Turkey, and Washington showed its totalitarian hand by attacking a people with out just provocation against the Syrian Kurds. By all rights, the Syrian Kurds should have held trial and put ISIS terrorist to death. But, they showed themselves merciful. That is a Christian quality. Christianity can not be tolerated by gangs of murderers of humanity and invaders of other men’s land. Erdogan is an Islamic invader of the worst kind. Unfortunately, we witnessed RT’s Cross Talk come in public and defend the slaughter of the Syrian Kurds, and it did so along with a Turikish female guest who vehemently articulated the unjustifiable — the slaughter of a people because they desire ‘Self-Government.’ This is something that the United States of America used to stand for — ‘Self-Government.’ It no longer does as we witnessed it’s current leader withdraw Protective American Troops to allow the slaughter of its own ally. Moreover, Trump’s partner in War Crime, Russia has never stood for the ‘Self-Government’ of its people. ‘Self-Government’ is a Christian realized conception of the past 2,000 years. Yet, it is coming under server global attack. Without the acknowledgement of Christ Diety, all ‘Self-Government’ is conceptually impossible. Yet, the Syrian Kurds through socialist ideology and the rights of women to be free were willing to try the Christian conception of ‘Self-Government.’ However, and predictably, “Dictator and Butcherer,” Erdogan will murder anyone who even slightly resembles the Christian conception of ‘Self-Government.’ That was the only issue at hand in the Security Counsel held by the USA and Russia which permitted the invasion of Syrian Kurdish land. All democratic socialist attempt at ‘Self-Goverment’ will be annihilated from the face of the earth — for example Trump’s claim that “all options are on the table” against the democratic socialist nation of Venezuela. Trump has not withdrawn his murderous hand from that nonChristian position. If it looks like a Christian, if it acts in any way like a Christian nation where rights are honored, it will be invaded; it will be murdered mercilessly; and it will wiped from the face of the earth. Trump, Erdogan, Putin are all murderers at heart and mind, while, they speak their Orwellian nightmarish talk of “Peace Spring” invading language. These leaders minds and hearts are full of murder saying to themselves, “Come let us have one purse and stay together stronger and lie in ‘Waite’ for the innocent passerby and kill him and take his money and his land.” That is what is happening to the Syrian Kurds as I write this. Erdogan has also stated that, “The White People of the World will be murdered.” Why? White People have represented Christianity for 2,000 years in their quest for ‘Self-Government’ and in their quest for pure worship of the true God of Israel with the authority of the Bible. Yes, Erdogan will murder the “Freedom Fighters” of ISIS terrorist the Syrian Kurds. However, he will not prevail against Christianity. He will not prevail against the God of the Bible. Nor will Erdogan prevail against Christian ‘Self-Government’ though he murder every Kurd on earth. Even though that is not possible, because, the God of the Bible will not allow it to happen for Christ’s Name Sake. Signed Peter Lemmon, God Bless the Reader, Amen
Mailman here. Reliable analyst updates his yesterday’s announcement of important talks today, BTL SyrPer News.
Apparently there is close collaboration with joint patrols between Russia & U$. Arab tribes formerly co-opted to serve in the SDF/IDF are telling their fighters to quit and join the Syrian Arab Army.
I am sure the Saker is appreciating this end game: a modern masterpiece of combined arms and diplomacy — not forgetting the heroism of Syrian resistance to a seemingly overwhelming onslaught.
SDC has sent a communication to all that the SAA is taking position on the border and re integration of Northeast-East Syria to the Syrian State is on the way. Rojava dream is over folks, and the SAA has not fire a bullet for that, this is the new world we live in, a world where Russia leads the way in diplomacy, and maybe we can see many more of this outcome all over the place.
Putin will be in Saudi Barbaria on the 14th, no doubt we will see results regarding Syria, Iran, Libya
The Russian Ministry of Defense has published on its website a map of refugee camps and places of detention for militants in northeastern Syria, which are controlled by Kurdish forces. https://twitter.com/StasSwanky/status/1183472198083907585
In the north-east of the SAR, there are seven places of detention for militants, including Hasaka prisons (about 1,100 prisoners), El Khol (1,600), Khimo (400) and others. Most of all prisoners (9,000) is contained in Shaddadi. In total, there are 14,650 in places of detention.
