I just got the link to this beautiful video sent to me by a friend.  It is one of those flash mobs with a musical theme that have become popular in the recent years.  This time it is in the (thoroughly) Russian city of Zaporozhie in the (currently Nazi-occupied) Ukraine.  The song, in Russian, is a very well known-song from a Soviet movie filmed in Zaporozhie in the 1950s.  83 singers participated in this events organized by a local TV station and a major local steelmaker “Zaporozhstal'”.

Those interested in the original movie can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4-HNGJRSbs (in the original black and white, in Russian).

The song, entitled “Spring on the Zarechnaia Street” is one of my absolute favorite Russian songs.  I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do, and I hope that beauty will return to all the Ukraine soon.
