Dear friends,A week has passed since I have placed a donation button on this blog and I feel that I ought to give you a short update on the donations received. A total of 65 people from 7 countries have made donations ranging from 2 dollars to 100 dollars. 2 people have chosen to make a “recurrent payment”. All this refers to donations made through PayPal. Only three people chose
There are 160 billion dollars invested by Russia in the West. There are 248 billion dollars invested by the West in Russia. Sanctions anybody? Russia still has the option of shutting down the NATO route to withdraw US forces from Afghanistan. This is an option with Russia did not exercise over the war in Syria, but which it will almost certainly exercise in case of a NATO intervention in the
In the city of Lugansk a crowd of demonstrators stormed to local administration building and forced the Kiev-appointed governor to resign. Donetsk: 10’000 people have prevented a pro-nationalist rally featuring Vitalii Klitchko from taking place and have demanded the release of the popularly elected governor (still held in Kiev). The chief of the neo-Fascist organization Right Sector, Dmitri Iarosh, has announced that he will run for President in the upcoming
Daniel Bushell in this latest Truthseeker – simply fantastic! Comment: having myself worked for one of the NGOs Daniel mentions in his report and having had privileged access to information about another one he mentions, I can confirm that what Daniel says is 100% correct. Sorry, I cannot go into more details, but I feel that I should confirm this. The Saker
I have just watched another pure propaganda piece by the BBC about the OSCE observers being sent back at a Crimean checkpoint along some footage footage of a journalist being beat up and the sound of some shots which the BBC says were aimed at the tires of car. I will ignore all of the nonsense reported by this so-called “journalist” whom Alain Soral would most definitely call “une pute“,
A deputy of the Ukrainian Rada who spoke on Russian TV from Moscow said that his contacts in the Crimea had informed him that the Ukrainian side had deployed unknown number of Grad BM-21M multiple-launch rocket systems (MRLS) just 2 way from the first Crimean checkpoints (these relatively old systems – they were built in the 1960s – have a 20 miles – 30km – range). Big demonstration in Kharkov
Dear friends,For those of you who hate PayPal (which I understand!), I have just added a Flattr donation button (left column, right under PP button). Hopefully, and if I can find the time to read-up on it and wrap my exhausted brain around it, BitCoin will be next. Many thanks and kind regards,The Saker
The situation outside Crimea is rapidly deteriorating. Yesterday, a SWAT team of the Ukrainian SBU has arrested the “popular governor” of the Donetsk region. He whereabouts are unknown. The local police has also arrested an unknown number of anti-insurgent demonstrators. Arrests of protesters have also happened in other cities of the Ukraine, including Odessa. To my knowledge there are no signs of police forces siding with the anti-insurgent forces anywhere
Soraya’s replies are, as always, fantastic, but what in the world is wrong with this anchor?! For the life of me I cannot imagine somebody working for RT not knowing and understanding what is really going on in the Ukraine. And yet, first Abby Martin, then Liz Wahl, now this clown?! I can fully understand that a reporter for RT could disagree with a Russian policy – but all three
This happened in February 20th, 2014, in the Cherkassy region of the Ukraine: Noe-Fascist Ukrainian insurgents attacked several buses with Russian civilians who were burned, murdered, tortured and humiliated. This is a quick translation of the audio: Reporter: On February the 20th, in the Cherkassy Oblast, a mob of armed insurgents stopped several buses with citizens from Simferopol. The passengers were beat up and dragged out of the bus. They
The Crimean authorities have just announced that the referendum of the future of the Crimea will be held on March 16 and that the two questions will be: Are you in favor of Crimea becoming a constituent territory of the Russian Federation? or Are you in favor of restoring Crimea’s 1992 constitution? Crimean MPs voted on Thursday for the region to “to become part of the Russian Federation as its
What a joke!According to RT, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has just announced that: “Alliance officials would put “the entire range of NATO-Russia cooperation under review.” He stated that NATO has decided to “take a number of immediate steps” because “Russia continues to violate Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its own international commitments.” “We have also decided that no staff-level civilian or military meetings with Russia will take
Sorry to interrupt the flow of news with my personal headaches, but I just found out that PayPal had blocked donations because they wanted more information about me. I just got off the phone with them and they assured me that the account is now fully restored. Why they could not contact me *before* blocking donations they could not explain in any other way than “we are so sorry” (sigh,
So this morning we have a “revelation”: EU officials are discussing the reports that the Maidan snipers were not sent by Yanukovich but that they were insurgents firing on both sides.Immense surprise everywhere!Well, a few “minor fringe proponents of conspiracy theories” did mention something like that, but for the “proper and rational people” (the folks who watch TV and read the corporate media) this is a big surprise.Might make you
The situation in the city of Donetsk is becoming unstable again. The local people have elected a “people’s governor”, but the local police forces seem to be loyal to the oligarch appointed as governor by the insurgents. The local people had been occupying the local governor’s offices and parliament building until this morning when the police told them that there was a bomb threat and that they needed to evacuate.
Good job SVR! They apparently intercepted a telephone conversations between Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the European Union, which clearly shows that the Europeans knew that the snipers on the Maidan square were not sent by Yanukovich but by the insurgents. Now let’s see what the Western media does with this info. Nice sound quality too :-)
Dear friends,If you take a look at the left of the page you will see the new “DONATE TO THE SAKER” button!
