I consider the blog of “Colonel Cassad” the best informed and most honest blog about the situation in the Ukraine, bar none. Right now, he is reporting that while there is an increase in the combat operation, this is more a case of “combat reconnaissance” (opening fire to try to evaluate the enemy disposition) then of a real full-scale attack.
That is the good news.
The bad news is that a energetic “combat reconnaissance” is exactly what the Ukies would be doing before a major offensive.
Please don’t panic, I will try to keep you posted. Right now, this is not a full scale attack. Not yet.

Saker PLEASE if you go away for a whole day, please turn off the moderation. Especially with the war starting up, we can’t give each other news while you are gone. Please….
Some 4-5 hrs ago, I think (so past dusk in Novorossiya), these from Strelkov:
“Everything’s fine. Attack on Yasinovataya has already been repelled causing Ukrs high casualties. In Schastia area it’s quiet too, enemy failed to advance anywhere”
“Fight took place BETWEEN Yasinovataya and Avdeyevka [NE of Donetsk airport]. By the way, Yasinovataya is rather big and stretched town. Dense ukr artillery barrage takes place in Schastia area [N of Luhansk], but there’s no offensive for now”

From the talk at the Munich Security Meeting in 2007, to the talk at the Valdai forum in Sochi in Nov. 2014, several times the President of the Russian Federation expressed his thinginks and considerations on what is happening in the world, on the real forces moving in the world arena, and the way to proceed to have a safe, balanced and multipolar governance with rules accepted and observed by all (no “exceptionalism”…).
Why does not Putin collect and organize all that writings in a (non too much long) book, to be published, of course in the Russian Federation, but also in foreign countries. For sure, there will be everywhere editors willing to translate and pubblicate it. And for sure there are also in Russia talented speach writer to help to speed up such publication. For sure it would diffuse much more and more effectively than isolated speaches that, outside Russia, are known only through the distorted filters of the enslaved Main Strea Media.
Should anyone find the time for a wonderful radio interview on 6 Nov with Strelkov:
Russian text:

I can’t read Russian, but even in Googlish it’s great!
Not the most substantive part, but I laughed out loud:
“S.DORENKO: Excellent. I’ll start with the movement. Your goal? You opponent of Putin?”
[Strelkov]: “What are you talking about?”
First the Haaretz cartoon last week showing Nutty flying an israeli plane into the 911 towers; now this!
Wassssup???
this level of news appearing in print, especially with the long delays both cases (Liberty was 1967) says that the next release (whenever) will be gigantic.

A 2004 transcript of an Israeli military tape published in the Jerusalem Post supports the claim in a new documentary that Israeli forces knew the USS Liberty was an American ship, as they attempted to sink it.
How long will putin sit back, not answering the bell?–this fight is in the middle rounds & he’s been missing the last few.
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-11-06/most-powerful-man-worlds-inner-circle-probed-us-regulators-money-laundering
As WSJ reports, U.S. prosecutors have launched a money-laundering investigation of billionaire Gennady Timchenko – a member of Putin’s inner circle. The allegations are that Timchenko (who was among the first Russian businessmen to be sanctioned by the U.S. following Russia’s intervention in Ukraine’s Crimea region) transferred funds linked to allegedly …
You watch. Any day now there will be an expose of Russian prostitution/scam schemes (not Ukrainian, they are their friends now, although my Google Earth, yes, Google Earth, offers me to meet “sexy Ukrainians”} Then a horrible expose of hows horrible Russian orphanages are (which I am sure they are, but it will illustrated with pictures of Romanian ones from 1980’s). Then they will rename Russian Blue cats something else, maybe Baltic Blue. Heaven help if a Russia plane gets as much as a burst tyre, we’re in for weeks of series on Russian plane crashes and general unreliability of their products. Never mind USA uses RUSSIAN rocket engines to get to the Space Station, which is in Space, which is somewhere RUSSIA got to first.
Anything to make Russia look bad. One of these inquiries might just boomerang….

What Kat Kan said!
RUSSIA starts genocide charges against Ukraine
Using the shelling that killed the two boys playing football as the sample case, Russia has started a genocide investigation against Ukraine.
http://novorossia.today/novorossia-news/criminal-investigation-launched-in-shell.html
The war is going well. Ukies have entered some northern Donetsk suburbs, which is evidence THEY broke the ceasefire. No more arguing about who did the shelling. Residents were advised to move out days ago, and the attack is under control.
While Ukie thinks they are busy defending themselves, NAF has actually gone on the offensive, where Ukie has just about nobody, to capture Schastye. This is the location of the power plant most of Lugansk depends on. Aidar battalion used to hold it and sabotaged one generator in early September, mined part of the grounds. LPR needs it, can’t risk Ukie holding it and deciding to “break down” the lines to Lugansk.
Once done around there, they will turn back (west) to help close a cauldron at Debatselvo. For those of you who’ve not seen the map, Debatselvo is in a hollows that looks like the top of a drawn heart. Ukie was trying to split the two republics there. There’s not been heavy fighting there, NAF has mostly knocked out enough resupplies to keep Ukie poor but not starving. In a few days they’ll be begging to surrender.
The airport? I suspect they’ve mostly be using it to train new fighters. There’s been no fulltime Ukie presence there for over a week, maybe longer. Some pop up sometimes. I suspect NAF (Givi’s lot) have been in the tunnels, and may surprise the shelling experts at the ends of them (in 3 villages). Currently though there’s heavy surface fighting.
If they can get that cleared up, next is Mariupol in the south (which Ukie are moving towards, shelling villages on the way) and Kharkhiv in the north (which has armed and equipped partisans ready to go). Mariupol has anti-tank trenches dug all around so Ukie is expecting any attack to be along the roads. Apparently they’ve not heard of Bailey bridges. NAF has.
Video shown in Ukrainian channel 112.ua with English subtitles by Kazzura (thank you so much, Kazzura/Wintersodom!). Interesting to hear what the journo reports from Donetsk and the questions done by Anton Geraschenko. And the way it ends.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g10mzIre274
PS.- Take a look at Kazzura’s videos on YouTube, all of them have English captions.
hilarious video: Ukie TV shut down a feed from a reporter cause he said: Donezk people just want to stop the ukrop shellings, they would even welcome russia to help them.
http://youtu.be/g10mzIre274
the host says “oops, connection lost, too bad”, but you can see the mousepointer shutting it down below the scrolling text…
The Ukies seem to be dithering. They were definitely prepared for an attack on election day, then apparently changed their minds when faced the evident capability of the forces defending Donetsk (started squealing about “Russians”), then a move to counter the threat of uprisings in Kharkov, Berdyansk, Dniepropetrovsk… and now some probing attacks on the front. One thing they have to be considering is the appearance of antitank guided missiles among the NAF, most likely supplied by Russia. Those things are a game changer because they vastly increase the range at which light infantry can destroy armored vehicles. Armored assaults went badly enough before, now there’s a high probability of disaster. What other small but effective goodies are now in NAF hands? Fire finder radar could neutralize another of the Ukies’ big advantages in firepower.
Given the possibility of losing control in rear areas, some potentially very bad situations developing between Gorlovka and Lugansk, and upgraded capabilities on the part of NAF (the full extent of which is not known), launching an offensive now would be a dumb move for the Ukies. But that doesn’t mean they won’t try it.
since somebody is quoting from http://novorossia.today/ – I wouldn’t trust that host to be anything but a random dude trying to make money off Novorossia. He has a big “gimme money” and his bank data on the startpage, and I doubt he has anything to do with Novorossia at all despite calling himself “Novorossia news agency”.
Saker, you can be 99% confident that any hostilities will erupt while Putin is at the G20 in Brisbane.
The budgie-smuggler prime minister ‘down under’ — little Tony Abbott — wants to “shirt” Putin … whatever that means.
Suggest Putin takes his own food and water and sticks with the BRICS to make serious change announcements.
Yvonne-re your link to youtube videos
shut down due to ‘copyright” issues!!!!!!!!
Yvonne and Jonathon Jarvis, fortunately Kazzura’s channel is still up, and s/he just posted a new video, which is basically a link to the LiveLeak page with the actual video. Ah, this zany information war ;)
Kazzura’s new video (just an image, no copyright problems there): link
The LiveLeak video:
[eng subs] The only Ukrainian journalist in DPR admits that artillery strike on school #63 is done by UA troops and gets cut off from the broadcast
I see in the newspapers here (Norway) that Mozgovoi has forbidden women to go to cafs, bars or night clubs (who will bother to go then).
If true, is this a sign og frayed nerves or what?
Jonathan, Kazzura posted it on liveleak, check it out:

“One thing they have to be considering is the appearance of antitank guided missiles among the NAF, most likely supplied by Russia. Those things are a game changer because they vastly increase the range at which light infantry can destroy armored vehicles.”
YES YES YES Thank you, I didn’t see that.
I’ve been saying for months that if the Russians had really been giving the insurgents military support they would have better anti-tank capacity; the Ukrs have been sitting out of range and pounding them from a safe distance, all over the place not just at the airport.
And regarding the airport, to whomever said the tunnel rats must be tired of eating catfood, no, sorry. On YouTube there’s an interior shot from a bunker as it’s hit by a shell. The ATO soldiers start, one rises off the comfortable sofa to take a closer look at the wall. There was a flare of light, so there must be some kind of breach in the defenses, but this place looks like a suburban living room and has obviously been designed for the long haul.
Survivalists’ backyard radiation shelters were typically supplied with two years of food and water, and this one is no amateur effort.

Nope, that site is okay and genuine. {Broke, too}. It is run by Paul Gubarev, one of the earliest “rebel” leaders, once imprisoned for 2 months by Ukie secret service, recently injured when his car was shot up. They get a lot of internal news not found elsewhere, very poorly translated (I think they machine translate) but at least it is there.
Kazzura’s youtube is worth checking twice a day, she’s constantly adding new content.

And another plug for
https://www.facebook.com/TruthfromUkraine?fref=nf
guy lives in Donbass and has a lot of locals ringing him with info, drives around sometimes to check things out. He has sit-reps with one-liners about action everywhere, always turn out accurate.
Not the most substantive part, but I laughed out loud:
“S.DORENKO: Excellent. I’ll start with the movement. Your goal? You opponent of Putin?”
[Strelkov]: “What are you talking about?” [Bic]
And what do you make of that, Bic?
What I make of it is Strelkov staring Dorenko down because he ask a question that was out of bounds according to the pre-show script that was agreed to.
You don’t think these things are spontaneous, surely? You think “reality shows” aren’t scripted? You think “man on the street” interviews that you are shown are randomly selected from the 25 interviews done?
Call in to some call-in shows and find out how they’re done. A producer will come on line with you, ask what your question is, and talk with you for a while. Then s/he will decide whether to put you in the queue to have your call put through.
Kat Kan:
Kazzura. “She”?
Have you noticed other channel names?
Hmmmm. The captcha awaiting me below is “amongur lubricants.”
I think they delayed attacking to do a new lustration of their military after seeing their commanders talking with Mozgovoy.
I didn’t go ballistic at Mozgovoy going rogue because I thought he’d unwittingly come up with a brilliant provocation.
KAT KAN:
Re: although my Google Earth, yes, Google Earth, offers me to meet “sexy Ukrainians”
It’s all done by bots. Trackers register what websites you visit, record your interests, and position advertisers’ material selectively. They can then charge more for ads because they are being placed before a “targeted” rather than a “random” audience.
I’m sure it was the “Ukrainian” part they flagged.
I just read in Russia Insider that the Ukraine lustration plan..don’t know what that means..is being run by Omydar who is the boss of Glenn Greenwald…
How can anyone doubt that Greenwald is an Anglo/Zionist ? He works for that guy Omydar…he worked for the Rothschilds paper The Guardian, (at least for a little while, so Snowden (a CIA OP) could “give” him the goods)…
Its all a scam…
How do we find a way out ? There may be no way out for us in our lifetimes…
Here in Canada the medical coverage is getting thinner and thinner…
I’m in my late 50’s; half a million dollars in debt and there’s no way out.
At least I believe in God and Christ and Heaven and Karma and Reincarnation…how do people who don’t believe in those things cope ? I’d be suicidal I think…as it is, I just think about my Mom…when she was dying I said to her, “Mum, you’re going on a journey without a suitcase”…
So be it.
