It appears that the Russians got tired of waiting. I suggest that you all carefully parse the Statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs I posted earlier today. This is an interesting document because besides an explanation of the Russian decision to move it, it is also, potentially, a legal defense or an unprecedented Russian decision: to overtly violate the Ukrainian sovereignty. Let me explain.
First, the case of Crimea was also a “special case”. The Russian were legally present there and, in the Russian rationale, all the “Polite Armed Men in Green” did was to protect the local population to make it possible for the latter to freely express its will. Only after that will was expressed did Russia agree to formally re-incorporate Crimea into Russia. So from the legal Russian point of view, none of the Russian actions in Crimea included any form of violation of Ukrainian sovereignty. I know, most western analyst will not agree, but that is the official Russian stance. And official stances are important because they form the basis for a legal argument.
Second, the aid which Russia has been sending to Novorussia has been exclusively covert. Covert operations, no matter their magnitude, do not form the basis for a legal position. The official position of Moscow has been that not only was there absolutely no military aid to Novorussia, but even when Ukie artillery shells landed inside Russia did the Kremlin authorize any retaliation, again in (official) deference to the Ukrainian national sovereignty.
This time, however, there is no doubt at all that the Russians did deliberately and officially chose to ignore Kiev and move in. Now, in fact, in reality, this is clearly the logically, politically and morally right thing to do. But in legal terms, this clearly a violation of Ukrainian sovereignty. From a legal point of view, the Ukies had the right to keep the Russian convoy at the border for another 10’000 years if they wanted and Russia had no legal right to simply move in. What apparently happened this morning is that the Ukie officials did not even bother showing up, so the Kremlin just said “forget it!” and ordered the trucks in.
Not only did the Russians move in, but they did that without the ICRC whose personnel refused to go because of the lack of security guarantees from Kiev. The Russian response to that lack of security guarantees was a) to order this unarmed convoy in and b) to clearly state in the official statement:
We are warning against any attempts to thwart this purely humanitarian mission which took a long time to prepare in conditions of complete transparency and cooperation with the Ukrainian side and the ICRC. Those who are ready to continue sacrificing human lives to their own ambitions and geopolitical designs and who are rudely trampling on the norms and principles of international humanitarian law will assume complete responsibility for the possible consequences of provocations against the humanitarian relief convoy.
Again, from a logical, political or moral point of view, this is rather self-obvious, but from a legal point of view this is a threat to use force (“complete responsibility for the possible consequences”) inside the putatively sovereign territory of the Ukraine.
The US and their main agent in Kiev, Nalivaichenko, immediately and correctly understood the threat: not only did this convoy bring much needed humanitarian aid to Lugansk, it also provided a fantastic political and legal “cover” for future Russian actions inside Novorussia. And by “actions” I don’t necessarily mean military actions, although that is now clearly and officially possible. I also mean legal actions such as recognizing Novorussia. From their point of view, Obama, Poroshenko, Nalivaichenko are absolutely correct to be enraged, because I bet you that the timing, context and manner in which Russia moved into Novorussia will not result in further sanctions or political consequences. Russia has now officially declared the Ukie national sovereignty as “over” and the EU will probably not do anything meaningful about it.
That, by itself, is a nightmare for Uncle Sam.
Furthermore, I expect the Russian to act with a great deal of restraint. It would be stupid for them to say “okay, now that we violated the territorial integrity of the Ukraine and ignored its sovereignty we might as well bomb the junta forces and move our troops in”. I am quite confident that they will not do that. Yet. For the Russian side, the best thing to do now is to wait. First, the convoy will really help. Second, it will become a headache for the Ukies (bombing this convey would not look very good). Third, this convoy will buy enough time for the situation to become far clearer. What am I referring to here?
The Ukie plan has been to present some major “victory” for the Sunday the 24, when they plan a victory parade in Kiev to celebrate independence day (yup, the US-controlled and Nazi-administered “Banderastan” will celebrate its “independence”… this is both sad and hilarious). Instead, what they have a long streak of *very* nasty defeats during the past 5-6 days or so. By all accounts, the Ukies are getting butchered and, for the first time, even pushed back (if only on a tactical level). That convoy in Luganks will add a stinging symbolical “f**k you!” to the junta in Kiev. It will also exacerbate the tensions between the ruling clique in power, the Right Sector and Dmitri Iarosh and the growing protest movement in western Ukraine.
Bottom line: this is a risky move no doubt, probably brought about by the realization that with water running out in Luganks Putin had to act. Still it is also an absolutely brilliant move which will create a massive headache for the US and its Nazi puppets in Kiev.
The Saker
PS: I heard yesterday evening that Holland has officially announced that it will not release the full info of the flight data and voice recorders of MH17. Thus Holland has now become an official accomplice to the cover-up of this US false-flag operation and to the murder of the passengers of MH17. This is absolutely outrageous and disgusting I and sure hope that the Malaysian government will not allow this. As for Kiev, it is also sitting on the recording of the communications between the Kiev ATC and MH17. Finally, the USA has it all through its own signals intelligence capabilities. So they all know and they are all covering up. Under the circumstances, can anybody still seriously doubt “who done it”?
I have not the language competence to make my own opinion about the current military situation in Donbass. A SITREP would be welcome. I worry for the brave men who fight.
Merci. Luke
Hi Saker,
This is off, but concerns Strelkov, a very good article, in my view, that elaborates on the social issues of Novorossia, and it assumes that Strelkov (in fact probably unintendedly) was going to the left, and _that_ was the real factor behind his removal. I know about your anti-soviet feelings but I think the real social change towards socialism would make a new country strong (and not another rump state). It is no way an incient that DPR and LPR (and KPR) are called “people’s republic”.

Hi Saker, it’s again off, continuing the previous one. Putin (and Hassan Nasrallah) are the finest statemen of our age for sure, real high caliber men, but they are more or less limited by the framework of capitalism, and that is a real limitation. This system is collapsing.
Regards, Balazs from Hungary
And by “actions” I don’t necessarily mean military actions, although that is not clearly and officially possible.
There seems to be a serious typo in the above sentence. You probably meant to say “although that is NOW (instead of NOT) clearly and officially possible.”
In 1948, the United States participated in the incursion of the sovereign air space of Germany in order to distribute by air transport vital supplies to the people of Western Berlin during the cold war.
It was a humanitarian effort to give critical aid to a desperate and needy people. The former Soviet Union tried to blockade any relief by ground, water and rail modes of transport but they were thwarted by men of moral character whose deeds of compassion outsmarted the communists.
How is what the Russian Federation is doing today in Eastern Ukraine any different? President Putin once again has demonstrated his effective statesmanship and outsmarted Poroshenko the fascist and the rest of his ilk.
I will comment a bit more at length on this brilliant move by Mr. Putin but first I must disclose a bit of irony about the trucks. The last 3 numbers of the license tag, the small ones on the right side, tell you what area the truck is registered in. At least some of the trucks have ‘777’ as their registration district. 777 is the interim district number for the third capitol of Russian, the Federal City of Sevastopol.
Russian decision to aid. Finally a red line is laid down by Russia and done so within the norms ( International Red Cross) of international humanitarian agencies. This is hardly RTP ( right to protect) and does not include military action. The Zio-cons are bullies and will back down when confronted by a determined, armed and serious opponent. They hate Putin because he is all of the above and incorruptible to boot. More will be revealed.
Saker,
I hate wording “this is a brilliant move”,
’cause it sounds Russia help is merely a calculation. There are people that suffer. It was right to move.
Regarding MH17, they said they would only release “relevant” information to the cause of the accident.
This leads to the following circular argument:
“We will release that which we consider relevant”
“We consider relevant that which we will release.”

Saker: The Ukies might still atack the convoy just to provoke Russia. The Ukies might also claim that there were Russian soldiers or whatever you can imagine to justify such attack. I will confess you the following: Swedish media recognizes that there are attacks on civilians in East Ukraine but they LIE suggesting that it might be the pro-Russian federalists. The biggest Spanish newspaper “El Pais” (which is right oriented) is more objective that most of the Swedish newspapers! El Pais allows debate (comments section) however, I was in the comments section trying to argument with another but then I realize that such “person” was writing messages 2 or 3 times every 2 minutes with lots of lies and disinformation. My guess is that they use some kind of robot to distort the true. I think is very bad someone not so informed might believe such lies. Still I think most of Spaniards are aware of the real situation in East Ukraine. Finally, I confess is kind of frustrating fighting with this stuff to make people know the truth but I think it is worth.
This move also has the possibility to legitimise the claimed violations of Ukrainian sovereignty over Crimea. If the West swallows this, how can they complain over Crimea? Brilliant, just brilliant. The comparison between Russian and US leadership could not be starker. To the disadvantage of the US.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK SAKER
To remember MH17 I suggest canvassing parliamentary/congressional minorities or individuals to ask in Question Time something like, “will the Foreign Minister deny that MH17 was shot down by 30mm gatling cannon fire directed at the cockpit killing the pilots and de-pressurising the 777 catastrophically. Will the Minister confirm or deny that our intelligence community is fully aware of this?”
I sent a version to a local loose cannon suggesting his purpose would be to attract the electorate. “Without driving the government to desperation, you could then deal with its response even discontinuing the inquiry if expedient, while mightily encouraging journalists to sympathise with you and yours. To grab media while leaving yourself room to back off, you would not suggest the attackers used Su-27’s or Mig-29’s or that the fallen bodies were already decomposed (suggesting remotely hijacked MH370 and our dangerous US allies), or that Kiev Air Traffic control uniquely directed only MH17 200km north over the war zone.”
“Please help”? This is all I can think of.
Thank you for your postings on MH-17 as it serves to balance the news we get here in the western media. What has become of the Spanish national who worked at the ATC center and was tweeting about what he observed during the day of the downing of MH-17?
Pepe Escobar from asiatimes mentioned that this Spaniard could not be found in one of his reports on the matter, but i have not been able to corroborate his status since.
There is nothing I can find about this announcement from Holland. Do you have a source for that?
Saker,
“Holland has officially announced that it will not release the full info of the flight data and voice recorders of MH17”
Where did you hear this? Official source, please.
Saker,
The US and friends on the Security Council also blocked the intended resolution/statement of a need for ceasefire to protect the convoy.
Ban Ki Moon publicly stated the need, but the SC would not go for it.
So, no humanitarian aid for “sub-humans” (Russians).
You have to racist-hate innocent civilians to watch them suffer and die. The West’s citizens are being conditioned to racist-hate Russians. It has gone beyond the Hitlerization of Putin.
We have seen the moves by Russia and China against the dollar’s hegemony. Soon, they will move to marginalize some of the international organizations that do not break from the US strange hold. New institutions are coming.
China has been very busy for years on this front. It’s not just banking and trade, but these very important “military action-peacekeeper-security-humanitarian organizations” of the UN and regional organizations will be invigorated to be used to help Russia and China protect their populations.
The Int’ Red Cross is a sham. The UN needs serious reform. And a real Int’l Criminal Court needs to be empowered.
Go Russia.Godspeed.
Great, insightful analysis. Thank you, Saker!
I have many questions and know the answers. Readers may wish to comments. Why Ukraine, the US, EU and other countries so desperate to destroy Donetsk and Lugansk? Is the democracy and what can be gain?
Ukraine’s artilleries continue to bomb both Cities. Innocent civilians died and destruction on both cities. The destructions and murders are no different in Gaza Strip. This is truly amazing, and USA beacons of hope and Freedom!

Dear Saker,
Thank you for your report.
Indeed, it was the right thing to do and was timed perfectly though we all feel it was an overdue intervention. Simply, further waiting and playing to the psycopaths tune was already impossible.
All our best wishes for the people that volonteered for the delivery. Their loved ones are waiting for them at home. So do we!
Usaian and their cohorts have fully burnt out any sign of legitimacy. And this is what matters at this point.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk now reacted with a stronf message to Russia in a Televised speech.
RIA Novosti reports:
Kiev Says Ukraine Needs 5 Bln Cubic Meters of Russian Gas for Winter
Ukraine needs to purchase additional five billion cubic meters of gas from Russia for the forthcoming winter season, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said Friday.
“Can Ukraine now survive without Russian gas? No, it can’t. How much Russian gas do we need to buy? About 5 billion cubic meters,” he said in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels.
He said that three-party gas talks, involving Ukraine, Russia and the European Union, are scheduled to take place next month.
“I hope there will be some final stage to these talks,” he said.
He added that Kiev had reserved $3.1 billion for gas purchases in the National Bank of Ukraine.
On June 16, Russian gas giant Gazprom introduced a prepayment system for gas deliveries to Ukraine amid a dispute with Kiev over its $4.5 billion gas debt. The European Commission and Gazprom anticipate problems in winter, when Kiev is likely to run out of its own gas reserves. …
Hillarious.
I posted a comment just now on the guardian newspapers comment is free which was immediately removed by the moderators so Im reposting it on here :
Much has really puzzled me as to Merkels seemingly determined efforts to ruin Germanys economy and put at risk Germanys multi billion euro yearly trade with Russia just to please the psychos in Washington. For a supposedly intelligent person who also has an army of advisers this just doesn’t make any sense to me. And then I discovered an interesting fact, namely that every single chancellor that gets elected in Germany still has to swear an oath of allegiance to Washington and to Washingtons policies, straight up. Germany is a country still under occupation.
But what about the other EU donkeys ? what excuse have they got ? Well, a couple of other posters have recently written that this might have a lot to do with the NSA spying and I am strongly leaning in that direction myself (especially after my recent post on the guardian newspaper was removed). There is currently a child sex scandal being “investigated” in the UK which the establishment is desperately trying to sweep under the carpet and I cant help but wonder just how far into the corridors of power this matter extends and just who is involved, but Im willing to bet the NSA probably does know. The guardian newspaper itself wrote up a horrifying story about child sex trafficking and snuff movies involving boys a few years ago (link given below) which extends throughout the EU centering on Amsterdam, and make no mistake about it, some very high up people in government were definitely involved. I would urge people to read the following story here :
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2000/nov/27/childprotection.uk
The heads of the EU are corrupt to the core and who knows just what the Americans have on them to bring pressure to bear.
US saying that striking Syria ir back on the table re ISIS. This might be a way of getting back at Russia over Ukraine.
Saker said….
“Furthermore, I expect the Russian to act with a great deal of restraint. It would be stupid for them to say “okay, now that we violated the territorial integrity of the Ukraine and ignored its sovereignty we might as well bomb the junta forces and move our troops in”. I am quite confident that they will not do that. Yet. For the Russian side, the best thing to do now is to wait.”
I agree and, as the Russians are definitely not stupid, I suspect they do to, but right on cue we have the NATO salesman and that erudite bastion of truth and honesty, the New York Times (absent the usual proof) saying…
“The Russian military has moved artillery units manned by Russian personnel inside Ukrainian territory in recent days and is using them to fire at Ukrainian forces, NATO officials said on Friday.”
Got to give them an ‘A’ for effort in trying to engineer a war out of this. Where do you think it will go?
I suspect that too many cries of ‘wolf’ have been made and this will go the way of the others but this is the moment that the US will try to find its reasons for their war. Question is will the EU follow them?
I’m looking forward to the video of the trucks being unloaded and relief supplies being distributed. A lot of Right Sector Rednecks will look foolish.
For someone on the outside without all the facts it’s still too early to be 100% sure but with that caveat it seems to me the rebels picked just the right moment to commit their reserves and i expect the UA forces around Luhansk to be encircled in the next few days.
(nb just because Strelkov can’t take the credit for political reasons doesn’t mean he’s not directly involved.)
I’ve got it figured out. The convoy trucks are advanced Russian Transformers. They will be activated into GRADS and Tanks as soon as their humanitarian mission is accomplished. And they are robotic, controlled from Putin’s office via satellite using blue-green laser communication, a secure technology.
They have self-healing nanotechnology and are programmed to hunt down Nazi symbols and US one hundred dollar bills. That ought to clean out the nest of vipers in Kiev.
(Feel free to use this as a Toy or Movie Idea.)
Putinizers Conquer Kiev! Oh, the horror.

“Why Ukraine, the US, EU and other countries so desperate to destroy Donetsk and Lugansk? Is the democracy and what can be gain?”
I think the neocons in Washington wanted the rebels to be defeated quickly and so have been screaming at their pet oligaqrchs in Kiew for a quick victory who in turn have been screaming at the UA for a symbolic victory like captured cities to show their neocon masters to stop them shouting at them. This made the UA focus on symbolic victory instead of operational victory.
If correct then the neocons in Washington may have greatly helped the Donbass rebels by accident.
#
“Ukraine’s artilleries continue to bomb both Cities … This is truly amazing, and USA beacons of hope and Freedom!”
The neocons are psychopaths but you do a critical point. The American people **need** to believe they are the good guys or they won’t fight.
That’s why it’s so important for the psychopaths to have the media lie to the public.
If the US public don’t think they are the good guys they won’t fight.
Just saw this interview on RT in which a woman from Bruxelles who seemed pretty knowledgeable said that humanitarian aid does NOT need any permissions by anyone according to international law. So there! :-)
The US and their main agent in Kiev, Nalivaichenko, immediately and correctly understood the threat:
Yea but the aim is to get Russia to Invade and so…. ????
The impression I got was not that Russia would do anything overt militarily.. It was ominous and a direct threat at anyone who attacked the convoy. The US would not care but any ukie would think twice about issuing such an order.
Why they want Donetsk is for the shale gas. They also dont want people there since mining shale gas destroys the ecology. Destroying the ability for people to work and live there works wonderfully when you want people to move away.
“Under the circumstances, can anybody still seriously doubt “who done it”?
I think will be understood soon that the MH17 false flag shoot down involved Israel, the USA, the Kiev nazis, NATO and the EU and probably a corrupted section of the Malaysian government, as well. They all either were involved in the actual act of terror, or in helping cover it up.
——–
The aide convoy opens the door to future humanitarian aide, and it doesn’t have to be Russia providing it. In fact, if Russia could persuade other countries to send humanitarian aide to Novorossia through their border crossings with Novorossia this would make the effort international and much more difficult for the zios to counter with their quislings and media presstitution. Once the Novorussian militias break the nazi terror army and send it west into full rout, having international support and recognition will help to rid the Ukraine of the ZPC/NWO terrorists once and for all.

It is the right time for BRICS to establish (in addition to alternative banks and economic tools) alternative ‘Google’, ‘Wikipedia’,’Facebook’ etc. Maybe even give a job to E. Snowden to do it. Perfect symmetry to S. Brin. it would be a truly healthy competition.

One can jump High or Low, the Neocon’s lie worked and that’s what count. Everybody in The Netherlands and the rest of the world under the MSM umbrella – apart from some freaks – believe that Putin, The Sovjets or the Rebels did it.
Your, mine story of combined attacks is too complex:
“different air-to-air missiles, ground-to-air, BUKs, BUKs in front of the cockpit, BUKs aside from the plane, BUKs shot by accident, bombs in the plane, planes that are hiding behind the tail of the Boeing, jets that are flying under the Boeing, ground radar oriented missiles from jets, planes that can operate on that height and planes that cannot, or maybe can, bombs in the plane, board guns, bullets that come in and out, Oh, didn’t the Americans and the legal chosen Ukrainian Government proof the opposite as many on the social media did? And why can’t one find the Spanish guy any more, and Putin and his hidden agenda, he is the richest man on earth you know,
By the way the Russian people starts realizing all this too. They also want a iPad, a car, the best for the kids and holidays on a sunny island”.
After one have put everything in place in front of an audience, you’re left alone in the room, everybody is gone: having fun, or having enough sleep to stand up early.
And this is just about the MH17/
It’s all too complicated to sell for most people in the West. To develop an opinion as most people on this blog have, one have to spent 7/7, three, four month reading all the facts about it. But most people doesn’t have time or lack, due to the education system. the politic awareness for that, the banks have them by their throats, they need all the time to make a living and even most of the lucky ones that developed that knowledge, doesn’t have any tool to break the trend. Democracy in combination with the MSM is invincible to beat on an intellectual level. And the 1% knows this, and in cooperation with the MSM they invent another lie, wrapped in another, and another. In the end most of the population, just choose to pick the news from the television, and/or the boys and girls from the work floor and that’s it.
We on the other side of the narrative, have to live with it, alone (!), because hoping that one day the discovery of this paradigm will also come for the rest of the human beings, is lost energy and… they hate us for it.
Only a hard physic confrontation works as at the end of WWII; total destruction.
To start again a million years from now.
Thanks Saker.
Stay strong Russia.

I condemn the entry of a Russian so-called humanitarian convoy into Ukrainian territory without the consent of the Ukrainian authorities and without any involvement of the International Committee of the Red Cross. This is a blatant breach of Russia’s international commitments, including those made recently in Berlin and Geneva, and a further violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty by Russia. It can only deepen the crisis in the region, which Russia itself has created and has continued to fuel. The disregard of international humanitarian principles raises further questions about whether the true purpose of the aid convoy is to support civilians or to resupply armed separatists.
Dear Saker,
I would like to comment on your use of the word ‘Western’. In my opinion it would be better to use the word’Anglo-Saxon and its vassals’.

the Dutch won’t release their MH17 findings? I’m sure the hundreds of Dutch nationals who lost love ones will be thrilled with their govt. over this decision
The propaganda war predictably heats up. From the BBC:
Russia’s decision to send more than 100 aid lorries into war-torn eastern Ukraine without permission has been widely condemned in the West.
The European Union and the US called for them to be withdrawn, calling it a violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty. Nato said it would deepen the crisis. The UN is to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the convoy’s entry, which Ukraine has described as an “invasion”.
The White House warned Russia would face more economic sanctions if it failed to withdraw. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who is travelling to Kiev on Saturday for talks, said she was “deeply concerned” by the developments.
The UK government urged Russia to find a political solution to the crisis. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said it was not part of it “in any way”.

Off-topic, but what about the Lithuanian consul supposedly murdered? All I’m hearing is it was the ‘pro-Russian terrorists’.
Since no one from the rebel side has said anything at all about this, how would anyone even know he was dead, much less who to blame?
The blame seems to have quickly come out just as in the case of MH17.
Interesting large high-definition photos in a 7-photo gallery at this Spiegel article (in German):
Eastern Ukraine: Russian convoy reached embattled city of Luhansk
The second photo shows a few people cheering; the seventh apparently shows entire families of terrorists ( ;-) ) meeting the trucks.
Hopefully many more such photos to come; not much yet from Graham Phillips’ twitter feed (RT stringer from UK currently in Luhansk), but likely a good place to check for more.
The MSM is spinning further into the abyss. The CBC has been desperately attempting to massage the narrative as usual. This time, they keep repeating that the Ukie junta has collapsed the strongholds of the “pro-Russian” separatists (their words).
They are claiming that not only has the convoy violated Ukie sovereignty but are following it up with more NATO claims that RF is firing across the border and have also crossed the border. CBC has also “aired” another “freelance” journalist that was stepping over his own tongue and stuttering while attempting to remember the script.
We have also begun archiving the updates to the CBC article, some of which can be viewed within the comments of our last summary article, for those so inclined to follow along and/or add your 2cents, here is the link:

DumpHarper!
The politics developments seems to brings more questions than the battle. But the politic in case of military defeat will become quite difficult.
It seems to go not too bad (even good?) for ”Strelkow’s brothers”. Col. Cassad blog told that the ukes begin to fortify the line Mariupol- Slovyansk to retire during winter.
From Mariupol to Slovyansk per road 200 km.
Kiev has not sufficient soldiers to ”hold the line”. Hedgehog tactic, like ”uncle Adolf” forces after defeat in front of Moscow in january 1942, seems to be the choice of Kiev.
If the federalist can solve the problem of movement (not only on main road) despite winter, it will be a nightmare for the ukes. They will encounter big difficulties for counter attack.
Karhkow is near Russian border, Good, very good place to begin insurrection in this town, to strike the Ukes forces in the back.
I think the Saker (god bless this good man) will explain us the situation in the following weeks.

To all:
The Hieromonk made several prophetic predictions:
“Fr. Victor requested that we not publish this interview “until a large plane crashes, after which everything will change, and the war will become unlike any previous one.”
This is really a unique war and he knew in advance the plane would crash.
“We will fall back and withdraw from the cities we defend.”
The militia left Slavyansk.
“Planes that no one shot down will crash, the dead will call their relatives as if still alive; “
That sums up what we “know” about the fate of MH17, so far. We also know people working at a morgue in Ukraine answer the phones of dead soldiers saying “everything is ok. He can’t take the call right now”. Perhaps they also call the relatives.

That being said, the aid convoy is a new important factor in this strange war. The orcs, as Auslander calls them, have never shown they understand reason. The convoy may start the unexpected, including a Russian intervention.
… and now we wait for the next move. What are the options on the white side of the chess board?
1) Back down and let the LPR and DPR drive most of the already severely depressed Ukies out of their territory, more or less right on time for the Independence Day. Really bad PR and may cause a full-scale revolt in Kiev, won’t happen.
2) Attack the convoy. Now that’s ballsy, but Russia backed its trucks with the promise of a Casus Belli, and you don’t want to trigger a Casus Belli against Russia that far down the road, even if you live in Kievlandia. May happen, but that would mean a checkmate for Kiev, and force the US troops to spread too thin across the world.
3) Create another false-flag. So that event could definitely happen, such as the obliteration of a group of civilians or Ukie troops by “unknown soldiers” in the vicinity of the convoy, as it would of course be picked up by the mass media as yet another Russian provocation. This could trigger a Casus Belli for the white side, and give a perfect opportunity for the EU cannon-fodder to move overtly inside Ukraine and start attacking Donetsk. Of course, Russia might react very badly to this, but it’s an agressive move that will save face all across the white side of the chess board, and thus preserve stability in the relevant countries. Might definitely happen in the next 7 days, after that the opportunity will be lost.
Poroshenko was waiting for Putin to deliver a straight punch.
Instead Putin scratched the chalkboard, brought everyone’s attention to the plight of the people of Novorussia, then delivered a wet willy to Poroshenko’s right ear.
The kick in the balls comes when bloodied and discouraged Ukie soldiers see these white trucks passing them by headed straight to the so-called ‘terrorists.’
Sun Tzu has nothing on Vlad Putin.
I think this is a decisive turning point in the information war. What I am seeing in the press is that now NATO, US, EU have contaminated themselves with Kiev’s level of credibility – and nobody buys it anymore. So now you have the major news and cable outlets shorn of credibility, the Five Eyes and EU governments shorn of credibility, NATO shorn of popular credibility – and this has been accomplished largely over the last six months with the Ukraine crisis being the decisive fulcrum.
They won’t stop – certainly they will up the stakes, maybe with some good old nuclear false flag terror events – but the commenters aren’t buying it anymore.
The RF has done well by sticking pretty close to the truth, avoiding unrealistic claims, having a consistent and peaceful policy backed up by a credible threat of force and an effective use of covert resources, and has started to set out a vision for a new kind of world.
I’m happy the people in Donbass are getting humanitarian aid and I think the NAF may have some special suprises in store for the Nazis over the weekend.

I am sure that in less than a month, the result of analysis of black box from 777 will be infesting the global network. Whenever someone speaks!
Also most of the dead are Dutch. And their families?
They will not like to know that the USA killed their sons, husbands and wives?
“Merkel to Visit Kiev Saturday”
If something happened to her or her plane, even an attempt, this will be the perfect false flag to drive the EU full scale in the war.

mvlazysusann at Zero Hedge on Transnistrian mobilization and official document (google translation)
Together with the Transnistrian military and security forces, whose salaries the Russian Federation basically covers, it is likely that the OGRV could amass, in a matter of hours, at least 10,000–12,000 combat-ready military personnel. Furthermore, in the early 1990s, the Russian 14th Army transferred to the Transnistrian military some military equipment, including 18 T-64BV tanks, about 120 pieces of artillery and over a 100 infantry combat vehicles (vpk-news.ru, March 13, 2013), which the OGRV could also use. (and between 6 and 12 combat helicopters)

Unfortunately, the trucks that entered were only a quarter or so of the total aide amassed. I’d like to be a fly on the wall at tonight’s UNSC closed door meeting on Ukraine to hear Churkin and Powers spar. It seems the next step is to get the remaining trucks to their destinations. On a related yet different topic, it seems the BRICS must come up with a common policy related to GMOs and GM seeds/crops since Brazil has apparently okayed the import of GM-trees, while China is abruptly ending its GM rice and corn trials.
And what of the revolt in Western Ukraine? Tantalizing bits and dribbles of “news” that’s more like rumors.
And it looks like it just might be possible for the Outlaw US Empire to lose control of Pakistan.
Putin’s ‘flotilla’ follows the exact same pattern as the Turkish flotillas to Gaza. Israel and Ukraine kick up a fuss- Israel and Ukraine say they won’t let the aid in- Israel and Ukraine use the Jewish controlled mainstream media to demonise the organisers of the flotilla- and then, one way or another the flotilla reaches its destination.
BUT the whole ‘dog and pony’ show about the flotilla, be it Putin’s or Turkey’s, is just a distraction, and nothing changes for the so-called recipients of the aid. Turkey does it to assuage public opinion, so the suckers won’t notice Turkey has been under explicit Jewish control since the ‘Young Turks’ revolution at the end of the Ottoman Empire.
Putin’s flotilla is designed to distract suckers from the fact that Putin COULD, but won’t send peacekeepers into Novorussia. He seeks to deflate enraged public opinion in Russia with classic ‘gesture politics’.
Meanwhile the Humans of Novorussia suffer rapidly accelerating genocide. While the neo-Nazis don’t dare take on the defenders in a fair fight (because they always lose), they do respond to their increasing battlefield fatalities by becoming ever more murderous against the helpless people of that area.
In Iraq, when a brave defender would take out a patrol of US terrorists, the US soldiers would ALWAYS respond by entering homes in the vicinity, and raping and murdering every citizen they could lay their hands on. It is the way of the Nazi. There is no ‘morality’ or ‘proportionality’. There is the brutal attack of the ultimate bully, and if the victim DARES defend themselves in the slightest, the immediate mass murder of dozens of innocent children and women.
By the way, given that Putin had created the flotilla, and given that Ukraine had made it clear it would never be allowed to enter, Putin’s move was ANYTHING but ‘brilliant’. When you make the ONLY move open to you in a game of chess, by definition it can never be called ‘brilliant’.
And as for the propaganda value- well as I’ve said over and over, the ‘truth’ is whatever the Jewish controlled mainstream media says it is. What we know and what we think doesn’t matter because we are a tiny powerless fraction of 1% in the West. So the Jewish controlled BBC, Guardian, NYT, CNN etc will spin the story to demonise Russia, and if that proves ‘weak’, flush the story down the memory-hole.
Still, at least the poor people of Novorussia get a few goodies, until they are blown apart by the high explosives blasted into their settlements by the Jewish led neo-Nazis of Kiev.
When in the arena with a bull, one needs a red cloth to get the animal to move where one wants it to be and finally, with a quick flick of the blade, bring it to its knees.
Many years from now, Putin’s present moves will be looked at in awe.
Crimea, the revere-engineered sanctions and now this convoy… Brilliant.
I’d like to think the humanitarian aid is well received and it is just the beginning of RF having free access to East Ukraine with white trucks driving all over the place.
Let’s hope it is both a welcome relief and a game changer rolled into one.
